    Spot-on assessment... Picked one up to replace my 10yo edc folder & this seems built to last years as well. Not a huge knife guy (this is my 2nd one over $100) but always nice to have at least 1 purpose-built tool for tasks like defense, processing meat/game, and heavier outdoor use.

      I've never spent 300 on a knife before and I was regretting buying one of these before it arrived. I don't mind spending a lot of money on a solid quality tool, but this was a lot for me. Then it came in the post and I was really satisfied... The attention to detail and quality are awesome. In my humble opinion it is well worth the cost. This is a purpose-built, outstanding quality self-defense tool. I love it.

    Really great review, Jacob. You gave all of the info anyone should need. Looks like a great knife for anyone wanting a knife for purely self defense.

    Also fun fact for AEBL it's grain structure likes a polish versus a toothy edge so strop instead of stone!!!✊️🔥✌️💚

    I've been looking for a concealable tactical knife of this quality, with the features you've demonstrated. The legal concealable length is also a big selling point.

    • @fisherblades
      @fisherblades 3 месяца назад +2

      Interesting fact on the concealed subject: many jurisdictions disallow concealed fixed blades, which is one of the reasons we made this knife to NOT be FULLY concealed front pocket carry. Thanks for commenting!

      You're very welcome. It's not easy find a purpose built knife like that, that actually includes a sheath that also serves that purpose.

    Very nice knife. I've never been a fan of tanto knives, but this one seems worthy of actually buying. I also don't own any tactical marketed knives unless you count a ka-bar.

      I think someday I should replicate his testing showing two knives that are identical besides the type of blade and test their performance for slashing and stabbing.
      That would be fun, it's just going to be a lot to do.

    To whom it may concern: 'New York City law prohibits carrying a knife that can be seen in public, including wearing a knife outside of your clothing.
    This applies to all knives, even if the blade is not exposed.

    I don't know what the deal is with this knife but this is at least the 10'th or 12'th video that's featuring it... I guess the owner/maker sent every knife RUclipsr a free one to talk about it.

      How many times do you see the same commercial on TV?
      The same ads on Facebook?
      Have you ever seen a bigger companies marketing budget?
      And have you ever tried to turn a profit making and selling something yourself?
      I would consider these things and the context before trying to make a point.

      @@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors I wasn't saying it to be a d1€k I was just saying.
      And yes I have run my own business turning a profit. Don't act like being a business owner is so exclusive or some mystery that needs to be figured out. A lot of people do it
      🤣 And I haven't owned a TV in 20 years and skip every advertisement on RUclips

    • @Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors
      @Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors  3 месяца назад

      @stephenbarabas6286 I'm not acting like anything is exclusive- I am making assements based on obvious data.
      Regardless of how many ads you skip you still see ads every day, multiple times a day, and if you were truthful about your shadow business you would understand the marketing.
      And yet you bring into question the business instead of the ones doing the marketing.
      Details matter.

    I feel it is massively overpriced at 300 dollars. I asked the owner to explain what makes it worth 300 bucks versus other knives at much lower prices. Not only was he unable to provide an answer, but he also started calling me names and being insulting. So my mantra is fuck Fisher Knives and their overpriced average quality knives. Besides, it's practically a fixed blade knock-off of the PM 2 tanto.

    • @Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors
      @Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors  3 месяца назад +3

      Are you judging the value of a boutique, small batch production knife to that on one of the largest production manufactures in the world?
      Knowing the guys at Fisher and not seeing the actual discussion myself it seems more likely to me that the reason for the price was in fact explained and you didn't understand it or wouldn't accept it in a belligerent manner.
      However being that I myself own a brand where I struggle every day to get prices as low as possible I can likely answer any specific questions you have if you are truly curious.

      @Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors no, he made no effort to explain the price. Nevertheless perhaps you could. If I'm looking a buying either the Covert for 300 bucks or a Demko Armiger 4 for 75 bucks. What will I get in the Covert for the extra 225 dollars that I won't get in the Armiger?

    • @Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors
      @Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors  3 месяца назад

      So
      1- You ask what you don't get with an armiger 4 that you do with this knife. That is an excellent comparison but to answer it fully I would ask if you even watched this video that you are commenting on. I made a 15 minute video talking about this knife and wouldn't want to spend equal effort typing the whole thing out especially if
      2- you don't even want to know the answer anyways- which would probably be the reason you CLAIM you got cussed out the first time. Would love to see proof of that.
      So which is it, do you actually want to know the answer to your questions and learn or do you want to have a little tissy fit and say "fuck you" and be done with it?
