      Are the stuff in the shop still restricted from this patch of dirt I live on with it rules and stupid tax and other bull💩 that the government can think up to make it a nightmare for people like yourselves to try and import your goods into? Ohh yeah the patch of dirt is called the UK. I know you did stop but the government here is such a bunch of dickheads you never know when they might see a bit of sense ! ( but that is a very very rear occasion unless you pay one of the law abiding government employees a shit load of money to look the other way) I didn’t say that mind 😂😂

      Terävä Jääkäripuukko from Varusteleka is also considered a military knife fron Finnish perspective, if the 375 is an obstacle for getting a good mil/surv/allround knife.

  • @klausheisler5014
    @klausheisler5014 6 месяцев назад +6

    Excellent blade.
    I liked mine so much I ordered myself another. My spine was absolutely useless for striking a ferro rod, though. I ground the spine near the handle where the M-1SL is laser marked, It now has an actual 90 degree spine & throws sparks very well.
    Lionsteel T5 is a good budget version of this blade btw for anyone that wants a cheaper option. T5 is also an excellent knife.

    • @greekveteran2715
      @greekveteran2715 6 месяцев назад +2

      Lionsteel are no where near the level of TRC though.Their geometries on the bevels is the worst I ever had on a knife and their heat treatments, aren't perfect, where on TRC they are. Same goes for the materials (steel, sheath etc). (in my experience) Only thing that Lionsteel is better at, is the handle comfort, but it sacrifices grip, which means the TRC is a safer knife that can indeed serve better a professional or a military use role.

    • @klausheisler5014
      @klausheisler5014 6 месяцев назад +3

      @@greekveteran2715
      Yeah, I definitely agree on that. Blade geometry is nowhere near as good as TRC but because lionsteel are thicker behind the edge you can remove the shoulder, pull the edge right back, & put a high shallow convex on them. The lionsteel T5 (after the edge reprofile) is actually one of my favorite blades.

    • @achimgeist5185
      @achimgeist5185 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@klausheisler5014Absolutely the T5 with secondary convex edge is really good. I own some TRC knives and the knives are top notch, the South Pole is my favorite EDC, but Lionsteel knives are good knives especially for the price. The T5 has one of the best handle of all my knives and I own a lot knives.

As long as you avoid prying shit with it, and stabbing cars like JoeX, this thing will hold up. Its edge never goes away, and it can be doused in water or rain and be alright. Highly highly recommended.

    Nowadays every knife reviewer has 300+ knives and everyone is the most amazing knife they have ever seen. Until the next video. Well there has been a few knives that broke .
    I can't imagine someone trying to say a stainless super steel is a great survival knife.
    Nobody actually tests these expensive blades. This is basically a commercial for overpriced cutlery the best ever.
    At least you can probably buy this one. Worktuff the others push are always soldout. But evidently free to knife channels.
    I just don't see any situation ever that i need a $200 knife so more is even crazier.

    a knife that you may use in combat should have at least a 7 1/2 inch [ 190.5 mm ] blade, so that when stabbing you cam easily reach organs.
    a smaller blade is fine for utility but a fighting blade must be able to kill quickly !

    • @warriorredeemed215
      @warriorredeemed215 6 месяцев назад +1

      Modern Military knives arent meant for fighting with. Im a former infantryman. They are more utilitarian for tearing into packages, cutting cord, cutting some form of line, using as stakes, you name it. We probably did it. CAN they be used for fighting? Sure, but so can any knife. The knives DBK are promoting are actually very very utilitarian knives. Most of them are too good for what you actually need a knife for.
      Uncle Sam doesnt waste dollars on premium sports knives for their soldiers. Cheap and functional.
      If youre looking for a true fighting blade, look into the halsey G-14 dagger. Those kind of things are more akin to fighting.

      Did you notice any failures on this video? I've served for years and none used a knife half as hard as on this video... You all suffer from too much RUclips videos and marketing,where they've convinced you that Steel is the most important factor when in reallity, it's THE last factor you should care for on a knife,lterally. That's facts. If a knife is going to fail,is a) user's error, b) Bad heat treatment or bad knife design or both. bad knife design is the supid jimpings they put on spines, that are potential failure points on any knife.(That's why TRC didn't add any on Mille Cuori or M1).

    I wouldn't say that's candidate for the best in military/tactical usage. I can say just by looking at it that it is far from having the best penetrability tip, nor the best hand retention handle 😉. Although it looks to be an exceptional all-arounder / survival small tool.

    Im telling you boys. You should feature a TFK (Tenev Family Knives) knife on your show. They are so close to TRC knives quality etc its crazy and theyre relatively unknown so theyre much less and easier to find. This also goes for anyone who is sick of TRC never being in stock. I highly recomend them! The TFK T-17.4 is my favorite. Briliant knife

      Not even half way close brother. TFK makes good knives, but TRC is on another level.

    You guys rock my world! Just got a TRC South Pole, basically because of your enthusiasm for the brand, and because the size is legal in G-many 🤩

    • @achimgeist5185
      @achimgeist5185 6 месяцев назад +1

      The South Pole is my favorite knife from TRC and is my most used EDC. I own four South Pole, the old Version with screwed handle scales (Elmax), the Apo (Elmax) the 10th Anniversary (M390) and the V4E DLC (Vanadis 4 Extra). The South Pole is a great kinfe. Greetings from germany.

    Hello!
    I was wondering if I should buy the naniwa professional/chosera set. How long have you guys had them before needing to replace them (worn out)? Are they strong enough for elmax?

    • @DanielRose-ul3dr
      @DanielRose-ul3dr 6 месяцев назад

      They will last for a very Long time. I’ve used mine often for 2 years. And you can’t really see it. My favorite’s are the 600, 1000, 3000. For my Buschcraft knives, i leave it at 600 (for bite). For kitchen i bring it up to 3000. I have a Lot of different Stones. The Naniwas are King. Shapton very close though, and a bit cheaper. For reprofiling the Atoma 140.

      I promise you. You won't. but yes, you always pay 100% more for 10% more performance.
      but in the end whats important is if its worth it to you. A ferrari is nice but I wouldnt want to spend that money on a car. I love knives so i happily pay extra for the extra performance
