That's was a great way to get around it, but sadly the rules have changed now and that type of terrain is considered ground level now. Unless players agree on a different floor print. Makes me sad. I ran this rule for so long.
Im nasty and i use 4 csm havoks with lascannons and plunging fire, 4 shots on 3s 12s - 4ap d6+1. dark pact sustained hits on 5s and sometimes a re roll aura or lethal and sustained on 5s aura.. Sometimes both, then when you try and shoot them turn off shooting outside of 18" 😂😂😂 people love me 🎉
Hey guys! Are you sure what you guys said about Overwatch hitting on 5s due to the HEAVY keyword on weapons at 1:04 is correct? The stratagem wording itself says that an unmodified hit roll of a 6 is required, regardless of the firing model’s BS or modifiers. The +1 to hit for standing still when firing heavy weapons is a modifier. 😊
That was for the heavy weapons team! their ability hits on 5s in overwatch, 4s when a platoon unit is nearby, probably a poor time to use that unit as an example sorry about the confusion!
You mentioned that heavy weapon teams hit on 5+ for overwatch.... i've only seen kataphron destroyers do that so far (havn't read all the dataslates), which units overwatches on 5+?
I've played probably 10 games of 10ed so far and lost all but one. I feel like every decision I make is the wrong one and get shot or stabbed off the table by turn 2 unless I'm playing my Chaos Knights. I played a lot in 3rd to 6th edition and I suppose my issue is with using terrain. Historically I never had to because I played Dark Angels and Chaos Space Marines, so there was no cover in the game that would offer better protection than my armor save.
Space marines having cover nowadays is great, that with Armour of contempt can have deathwing terminators save AP-2 on 2+ or normal marines on a 3+ It can be both hilarious and frustratingly tanky.
He doesn't say "heavy" as in weapon key word, in the video! he says there are UNITS that can hit on 5+ in over watch like heavy weapons teams (which is a unit that can overwatch on 5+)
Many people are not doing these things correctly, it is early but people should listen to these tips because I seen them done wrong
Great vid! terminator "don't do that" made me laugh
Did not know you can do that to stop plunging fire! thank you very much

So being off the table counts, I've had people cheat me then! hehehe I wan't to bring more lone op but I feel like they can't score points
Great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
What did he mean 5+ for heavy weapon units?
To go off what Anthony said about spamming stuff with list build right now, will that change with codex you think?

do you think overwatch needs to be tamed down a bit
NO why?
not really, if you think it's a problem all you need to do is bait it out or bring a character to increase the cp cost by 1 :)
Can we get a tactics video by Claudio, I wan't some commpetitive tactics for tournements thank you!
Sure thing!
Knights having character hiding them won’t be an option but you can bait like that and it would work
never know, some people do really dumb and some really smart stuff
Tactical assasination is really hard to get unless someone throws their characters out at the perfect time
it's pretty tough yes
Great video lads!
Thanks a ton!
Is stacking IDF even worth it anymore
thanks lads great video love the editing
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video btw
Thanks!

No worries. Fair enough. Worth the clarification 😊
some people have been playing assassinate like 9th, didnt know it changed that much
Nice, I did not know you couldn't stack assasiante
You can if it's a fixed mission, but for tactical you actually get 5 rather than 4
Great video guys!
Thanks so much!
Great video guys! lol @ Warp Stabilizer making an appearance at the end :P
thanks for watching...yes it did hahah ooops
As a new player this was awesome. Thank you.
Glad it helped!

10th needs better rules
Good tactics! Anthony needs a hair cut!!!
Justin yells a lot
i thought heavy doesnt apply to overwatch because its an unmodified 6?
edit: yeah app says "unmodified 6" and "regardless of Ballistic Skill"
That was for the heavy weapons team! They hit on 5s in overwatch and 4s when near a friendly platoon unit!

The plunging fire thing is dumb
