Wow, that's a big difference, but not really that surprising. The 18 inch wheels are not only heavier, but they also give the car a slightly taller final roll out ratio. The 18 inch wheels are wider too which increases rolling resistance. I bet your Jetta wagon will be slightly faster from 0 to 60 with the smaller steel wheels too. The only advantage with the larger wheels is the car may be 2 to 3 miles per hour faster on the top end. Keep it up my friend.
dont do your test in the winter, winter fuel economy is always bad. do it during Summer, i have golf tdi 2012 with 18's on i get better fuel economy summer then winter im up in montreal quebec, winter i get 600kms on a full tank and summer i get 1100 kms sorry for the KMS i dont know what it is in miles.
Love that colour brown nice Audi rims to!
Brown with tan interior is my favorite combo.

Great video Josh! How exactly did you get the wheels from the dealer though?
It’s a used car dealer. They only sell newer cars and they put aftermarket wheels on most of their cars. So they sell the stock wheels for $300-$400
Spotted Euros yes I picked up a set for my Q7tdi think they wanted $350
Josh, Can one expect a clean swap of VW steel wheels bolt pattern with an Audi wheel?
Correct. Audi and VW share the same bolt pattern. 5x112. VWs after 2006 use the 5x112. Before that they used 5x100.
@@spottedeuros1529 Thanks Josh.
What do you do to get a really high mpg?? I’m seeing a lot with 29-32 mpg, can you help me with that??
Slow down homeboy!
