I love watching the progress that your making on the Byrd Farm. I get excited to see a new video to keep up on your progress. I can't wait to see it completed.
Every time I watch your videos I am overwhelmed by a feeling to get on a plane from the uk and come and give you a hand ... I love what you are doing. You have accomplished so much, I hope you are feeling really proud of yourself x
You farm is really starting to look like a farm and I am sure that the Byrd house is loving all the new and wonderful things that you are planting and pretty flowers that were there, we can feel the old place smiling at the new life you are giving her.
What an enormous amount of work you have accomplished here today... I can just imagine how bone tired you have to be by the time you get home. Thanks for sharing this time with us. Have a Blessed day.
Hey Robert, you look like one tired pup... That Wisteria, man oh man, I bet that stuff gives you nightmares 👎. You're doing a great job 👍, be safe 👍💞🏡💞👍
One fellow sure worked hard this day. With each burn and and cutting down junk trees and bushes the place is looking better and better. Keep up the good work Robert.
Grandpa always said, if ya want fresh figs, sometimes you gotta plant a few fig trees. I hope this means you’ll be making figgy pudding for holiday get-togethers.
Hey robert hope you're resting now. Your hard work is paying off and I'm excited to see it all finished. One thing if you squirrels be aware of fruit trees lol. They will eat that fruit before you have a chance to get any. I've had huge problems with squirrels.. lol
Well done, Robert, well done! Always a good day to plant fruit trees! Applaud your efforts, but you actually can prune a tree, especially a fig tree, to keep it to a pickable height. God bless you with continued strength as you restore the Old Byrd Farm!
I love seeing the new plantings. The birds are going to love those blueberries! I would love to have such a big place to plant fruit trees. You are doing an awesome, exhausting job at the Byrd farm. Love the adventure.
I hope you had a cold brew waiting for you when you drug yourself home after that day! Whew! 😳 So much new life on the old Byrd farm! It's really looking like a farm again! Happy to see the flag displayed too. 💜
Love how your planting fruit trees. We have a small orchard for some years and been a learning process. If you get apple or pear keep in mind many get cedar blight from cedar trees. The asian and kiffer pear as well as arkansas black apples do best. We learned the hard way. If you can get stone plums they grow great in south. They can be invasive like privet. They come up from roots. We just mow our sprouts. We train a few into larger trees. We have a lot of southern blueberries! We lost our figs this winter to -8F. Good luck on your plantings. God bless you!
I have had no experience around tractors and I just love seeing what yours can do. It doesn't have to be pretty and shiny and new to work well. It's the best and l love it
Good afternoon. I am guessing that the trees that you planted will be just fine. The soil they are in is looks great, and that is very important as you probably know. I saw a lot of progress on the Byrd Farm. That is tiring work. You deserve a big pat on the back! Thank you for keeping your viewers informed...
That all farm is going to look beautiful by the time you get the house all rebuilt now we can just get rid of all that wisteria oh my goodness you could set some of that wisteria and buckets and sell some of it off For all those people that really want that beautiful wine but I’d love to see that all set back up and beautiful again and adding all them fruit trees is just pure love of the land
Robert, you look so tired, but what a wonderful positive day you had on the Old Bird Farm. Rest well. ove these videos so much, so the camera didn't focus, who cares
Thrill of fruit trees 🌳 and knowing that farm must have had several different varieties and it will be interesting to see what is at the farm old gardens and such👩💻👏🥰✌🏻🧐
Coming back to life ... so nice to see all that you are doing so much on this property. Once this is cleared this will be a perfect location for the trees ... I love figs. Yes, this looks so much better. That will look so nice when you clear out the fence on the road side. Yes, that one is in bad shape...
3:54; this statement is why i just subbed. you might need some woven wire cages staked around your plantings as deer protection 'til the trunks get about 3 inches across, adding some height to them as they grow. my yard is a bottleneck for them & it's the only way i can keep them from destroying my plantings. (r.i.p, turkey fig bushes) that & the retired & armed vet who sits patiently in our old chicken building every fall... :D
Trees and rain and fire Oh My!!! No question why a Fella had a migraine. Wisteria killin' off gear-box seals, Godzilla sized peach trees, funerals for trees that went before...Good Lord! My recommendation for the rainy day tomorrow is....a fella needs to sit and relax. Have a brew or two, put his feet up and watch a movie. Something cheesy like those sci-fi classics from the 50's. Your hard work is evident. Nothin' wrong with taking a day for yourself.
Love fresh peaches!! When I was a child we lived in the country. We had peaches figs nectarines plums apricots and a big blackberry bush. Almond and walnut trees. It was pretty cool.
Growing up, our neighbor had a fig tree similar to the big one you didn't plant. It seemed huge to me, as a kid. I remember laying under it and eating figs with the neighbor kid. Yum!
Robert, watch History Hound Detecting video, Who were they? Graves found in the north western mountains of North Carolina . From 5 months ago. I caught this today and when researched the old graves the family was Byrd. He shows his research at end. Lists 16 children. Maybe your Byrd family. ? Anyway, Great trees your planting. Beautiful. Joyce. ARROW *🎱. ❤️. 🇺🇸.
Youll ove thos blueberry bushes. Remember they like lots of water and acidic soil. We planted 3 several years ago.and they produce Ike crazythelast 3 years. We just ate up the last of our 2020 berries last te week. Every year they produce more and more berries. We have to get to ours every morning before the wild birds get to them.
Robert, greatto see the beautification of the farm. It is really starting to shape up now. For some reason I had the thought of a claw, hook arrangement to fit to tractor to rip up those bloody vines. So I'll be every interested to see what you have purchased. When it is dead I guess it will rot away.
Great amount of work done yet again and love the new trees hope the bushhog isnt damaged and just near the end i thought i saw a camera tied to a tree :) Look forward to more Thankyou for another great video
Love watching you clearing at the farm. I know it would be a momentous task but wouldn't raking around in the font yard help keep an eye on the pods that are about to drop.
I 💓💓💓 the panel truck...& all the others. Ya kno how ladies like buyin shoes I buy rigs!!! I have at last count 10, ages 1969 to 2011. Trucks, cars, and RVs.
Blueberries require bees and other pollinators. Hopefully there's no problem with that in your area. They also require acidic, damp soil. So if your soil is acidic they should do fine. They grow wild around there. The berries are yummy, as long as you get to them before the wildlife does. :D
Put pine needles around your blueberry plants for mulch it will make them grow faster. Something about the nutrients from the pine needles is what the berries need. Course you can put that pretty mulch on top of the needles.
I love watching the progress that your making on the Byrd Farm. I get excited to see a new video to keep up on your progress. I can't wait to see it completed.
The sounds on the old Byrd farm are just wonderful. What a relaxing pleasant atmosphere.
Bit by bit piece by piece the Old Byrd Farm comes to life.
All work and no play makes a fella......a homestead to be proud of. 🧡
Love the fact that you are planting fruit trees even though you are still possessed by blithering purple wisteria.!
Wisteria will be all over those new plants
