Aside from the location, Canada, you are living my dream :)
I'm guessing ur in Colorado. It's pretty beautiful there too though. Drove thru the mountains years ago on the way to Cali. Very scenic.

Very inspiring 😇🌾

Love the video of your farm
Goose caboose, it rhymes and it's fun. I like it.
You and your darling are doing a great job. Homesteading is hard work, but it is very rewarding.
Oh yes. I really enjoy the feeling of satisfaction when something is completed. Each project gets checked off the list only to continue on that never ending list 😆 Thank so much for watching and for the nice words.
Hello Chad, wow, you have done so much work! Your garden is huge. The octagonal chicken house you built is amazing! Plus the duck house. I don’t think I could harvest the poultry, but I understand that’s what they’re for. I’m also very much into Permaculture and have used Hugelkultur extensively as well. You have a wonderful farm. Love the humor.
Thanks so much! It’s a labour of love around here and the animals are the icing on the cake.
@@HiddenSpringFarm I agree. Nothing better than working on your own land and growing your own food!
My brother had an Old English Sheepdog named Ambrose. He would follow kids at the park up the ladder and go down the slide. He stood in the que too, never cutting in line.
Yeah they're amazing.
I love watching this kind of video and I learn.some things on it...greetings from Philippines.new subs here.😊😊😊

There nothing like "on the job training!" Excellent work 👊💪🇺🇸❣️🙋♀️
Everything you have done to your farm is beautiful and very well thought out! You are great for all the animals! Super nice!😊😊
I know this is an old one Chad but great viewing to see what you have all accomplished in such a short time. On a similar journey her in Ireland, 10 months in on a much smaller 5 acre site but getting there. It is important to learn new skills and the challenge is what gets me up early every morning. Your videos are a great inspiration for not only entertainment but ideas. So I have already decided no geese 😄
Right on bud, setting everything up is the hard part but also the most learning and the funnest. 🍺 🤙
You are such a talented carpenter and the animals love you as much as you love them. 🐾
Aww thanks, you’re so kind 😁
I just discovered your channel and love it! You are an amazing carpenter. Best wishes!
Thank you very much!
Amazing place! How I wish I had your carpentry skills.. that duck run looks awesome!
Yeah thanks, it took some effort but I got er done.
Well…
Your chicken house looks really nice… ingenious idea sir ❤
Greetings from Germany everybody 👋
love the Gazebo styled chicken coup, truly magnificent!
Fantastic. What a great effort you have both put in to create Heaven on Earth for yourselves and the animals. Credit to you and Love from Liverpool, England (Home of The Beatles)
I had an old English s/d "Paddy" for ten years and he was indeed my best friend and I his. I could not go anywhere without him as he would follow. Holidays were the worst for him and me with his separate anxiety he would not eat while I was away. We had to rearrange our holiday so my son could return from Vancouver to Ireland for his holidays. But unfortunately, Paddy developed a tumor and had to be put to sleep that was four years ago and I still talk to him every day as we were true buddies. I have his ashes in a lovely timber Urn at the foot of the stairs that greets me every morning. He was a beautiful loving dog that I will remember forever never to be replaced.
First, you are so capable and skilled and WOW on this property. Second, your wife’s outfit at 2;40 in the garden is the BEST and just tells us how fun and wonderful she is! Love it all! Great vid.
Your dog looks like such a sweetheart.
When my husband wanted to build our garden he first installed a chain link fence. Then he painted it brown as we had neighbors and wanted it to look nice. He made the raised beds out of concrete. Then topped the rims with tile, They last longer then wood. Not only was it very attractive but very practical. It was a full garden with fruit, citrus and even a bay leaf tree. I miss it and my husband of 40 years very much. Your homestead is just amazing!
This video made me smile at the names of the different habitats. I love how you care for your animals and took time to build their homes, to keep them safe. ❤
At first, I thought you were going to show all the foods you were growing, like everyone else, yet I was not disappointed. Thanks for sharing. Your voice also made it fun to watch. ❤
@@delindawilliams3935 aww thanks, if you’re interested I’m working on a full gardening episode for this Thursday.
@@HiddenSpringFarm I'm always interested in gardening. I have a small indoor one, so I love collecting tips for when we move into a house and have a big yard.
Great duck,house.
I like the chicken barn design. It looks amazing, and would work great.
It was fun to build and has been a great addition to the farm!
Your talents on the farm is amazing and the farm looks soo beautiful you are soo hard working and it shows ❤️🙏🏻🇬🇧
Amazing! Enjoy while your young because as you get older you just can't do all that you're doing!
Boy that chicken gazebo would have made me a tremendous She-shed I have been wanting for so long but we don’t have the property to build one….good for you man, you are an amazing builder. Love the pup.
Beautiful space you have got. Better than city living for sure
Definitely a beautiful duck house
Absolutely love this video!!!!
Awesome thank you for saying that.
Man this looks like heaven.!!
Chad you have awesome carpentry skills especially self taught! Your farm is a slice of heaven on earth. Does Molly and Olive live in the house with you?
Thanks so much, it is our small piece of paradise and I just love being outside on the farm with all the animals knowing it's all to make a better life for ourselves. These dogs are pampered with their own beds inside our house. We might have livestock dogs someday, but not these two they are our best pals and go wherever we go.
Agreed about the carpentry skills, what you build is amazing, especially the chicken house. Can I move in in it? 😀
How beautiful! Amazing job, blessings to you, your family, and all the animals on your farm!
You are so kind
Absolutely beautiful duck house!!! Have you considered becoming a Harvest Host? Believe folks would love your farm!! 🤗🤗. You are beyond talented, you & your wife are making a dream farm for sure. Where in Ontario are you?
We're in Horseshoe Valley Area and yes we are transforming this property into a farm stay and experience. In time of course. Never heard of a harvest host though. Too much to learn.
Wow that's what I call an amazing and beautiful life. Very inspirational to watch ❤
Fantastic Sir. Perfect example of complete commitment to every project you have undertaken. Congratulations on the results of your forever home. ( From New Zealand)
Ahh the memories ❤
I grew up on a 250 acre farm in New England, lots of work but very rewarding for the skills I learned. Only things I remember my Mum buying were honey & lard when we ran out, thread and material to make our clothes and beautiful looms to weave the wool.
Spent 8 years traveling the country helping to create community gardens and learning about the different growing zones.
You sure did a wonderful labor of love balancing the gifts between your family and Gaia.
That’s a great way to grow up 😉
Absolutly fantastic video and what a wonderful farm you have built. I am dreaming of the same one day!
Much appreciated 😁
What a wonderful life you are heving God bless you.

@@kbee1735 aww thanks so much for the comment. We’re near Horseshoe valley, Ontario. Closest town is Orillia.
What a wonderful way to live ! It’s actually how I grew up and now I’m stuck in the city and really hate it. The ole saying.. you can take the girl out of the country…. But can’t take the country out of the girl. Is so true !! Only difference is that I’d have 4-5 horses but I think it’s great you lease to neighbors for that !

Awesome video and I love just how wholesome your entire approach to life is within your system. I love your Canadian accent too!
I wish I had this guys dough. I've done most of that, but on a much smaller and cheaper level. Someday?
Oooooh! What are those white chickens with the black “necklaces”? They are simply gorgeous!
@@margomoore4527 they are Light Sussex and are a vert cool breed, so calm and relaxed.
I like your chicken house, however I would have painted it before putting on the wire. The high center looks good but I'm not sure what it is for, but I'm thinking you might put some chicken runs in the high part and/or hang some swings. A suggestion, on my ranch in the last few years I have working on making everything low-maintenance and wish I would have started doing this earlier on as it would have freed up a lot of time for other things.
Something I'd really like to own, a farm 😊
Great vid. We have a family farm in Australia and I’ve planted a macadamia orchard on my bit of it. At least it does not snow where we are.
No snow but hot humid and wet though right. We visit the Philippines frequently to visit my wife's family and it's too hot. I can handle the snow it's the bitter cold that gets me. We love white chocolate macadamia nut cookies lol.
That is a very peaceful farm andhappy life in the farm.
You are an awesome story teller!
Glad you think so!
There is a park in my country where they have something similar to your chicken coop for exotic birds to be at display on different sides, i'm not sure how many sides it has but it was pretty cool that you've done the same on your own for chickens
Oh btw even the centrall axes is the same, they go in the center to feed and mainain the cages
Beautiful and amazing 👍👍
BEAUTIFUL ❗🙏 GOD BLESS YOU💝
