The file cabinet hitting his head wasn’t scripted it just happened and they kept it in,lol.
Fun fact: Chandler hitting his head with the filing cabinet was, in fact, a blooper they kept in. So he literally hit his head, and that was both of theirs genuine reaction.
The encyclopedia salesman was played by Penn Jillette who is half of the magician duo Penn and Teller!

I love the episode where Joey teaches Treeger to dance! It's so sweet. The dance on the roof is one of my favorite scenes from the whole series. RIP Mike Hagerty, who played Treeger.
Totally agree with you about the mom. The episode you are talking about is the funeral one. I think its TOW Grandma dies twice? I dont remember the name for sure. Her mother complains of the same thing she does to Monica, and she seems to realize for a second.
I think there’s also the fact that Ross was their miracle child and very academically accomplished, overshadowing her. I do like her relationship with her dad a lot though 💖
matthew accidentally hitting himself in the head with the cabinet is the best part of the whole episode 😭
Rachel and Chandler is actually my favorite pairing. I love it whenever they have a side plot together.
One of the best bloopers to be left in the show happened in that first episode, where Chandler was handcuffed to the filing cabinet and pulled his hand and got hit in the back of the head that was actual hit shock on his face, and Jennifer Aniston, hiding her shock with her hands 🤣👏🏼👏🏼

i think this is their relationship, remember the conversation monica had with her mother when Judy's mother passed away, and never get in the middle of a mother/daughter argument and never compared them to their face if you value your life
I think Walkmans were pretty expensive. My Christmas gift in 1999 was a discman. The issue was the CDs used to get ruined because I’d listen to them over and over and eventually they’d warp

@@silverkyre yes, but I always use filter ‘upload date’ so I can manually search chronologically so as to not have missed any reactions that I would have been interested in
Also, “recommended” steers me off task and distracts. I need to first watch all the videos I have save to “watch later”

The color in the first episode always striked me as odd , every scene with chandler look like a recolored 60's sitcom ( which is pretty satisfying)

Yeo I remember the Cassett Walkman's then I got a CD Walkman...those were the days. I always remember them being more 80's thing though.
A bunch of us had cd walkmans when I was in high school in the late 90's/early 2000's, so around this time period. Can't remember how much they were for the life of me though, lol. Personally I always liked the cassette ones better because the cd ones skipped a lot if you were moving around too much.
Yep the CD's always skipped; cassettes I thought were better also...I was about a decade behind you high school in the late 80's. I still have all my cd's as a teen/young adult@@LadyBeyondTheWall
Your opinions about the show and characters are fine. It's been 20 yrs since friends ended. Views have changed. When I was your age watching many episodes play different to me now. I agree with you. I believe Monica does have a controlling personality, but there is a difference on how she would go about it. Given the Lasagna situation Monica would make a extra dish to protect her daughter as well as control the situation in case things don’t go as planned.

A Cassette Walkman in the late 90s was probably around 200ish. A Discman (CD Walkman) was around 379 for a cheap model.
Only if you got the Sony brand. Other brands were available for a lot less.

Season 4 is god tier! It’s the best one and frankly has most peoples funniest episode and many other memorable moments.
Ps: 50$ is a lot for one of those books, but I maintain if Joey read through one and managed to take in 20-25%, of it it would be 50$ well spent in his case.
