An amazing fact about the Robin Williams and Billy Crystal cameo: it was completely unplanned and improvised! They were visiting the Friends set and were hired on the spot for a quick guest appearance. Courteney Cox also improvised her I HAVE NO IDEA line because she genuinely forgot her dialogue after watching Robin and Billy.
I love that Phoebe's fireman boyfriend was upset that she gave the other guy a candlelit dinner in the park... because of the dangerous open flame. I should have seen it coming, but I was fooled into thinking the sensitive fireman would be jealous that he didn't get the candlelight dinner. Fun, clever joke twist!
@@roronoauchiha69 Okay? It doesn't really matter what the ratio is, he was jealous as well, and I was just pointing that out, since, a lot of people always try to make out like one of them was more this, or more that, when in reality, they both made messed up decisions at times, and instead of maturely holding them accountable for each of their wrong doings, so many fans of the show always wanna throw the blame around like children.
About the sometimes no sense arcs, they are 100% on purpose from the writers that wanted to show how life is also made about random things and accidents mixed up with all the drama, that’s one of the things I love about this show, you life just happens and not everything has to be big, the small things are also good and in case os friends super funny 😂
I'm glad you are sympathetic towards Monica's character - she really has been having it rough (in general) since season two so it was nice to see her happy with Pete this season, even though it came to an end.
Oh this has to be one of my favourite episodes only because of the Robin Williams and Billy Crystal cameo. The real life story of this is brilliant too. They were shooting something in the same studio and agreed to do this cameo pretty much spontaneously. It's such a funny scene. 😂
The actor alongside Robin Williams is Billy Crystal, a famous comedian known for SNL, When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers, Analyze This, and Monsters Inc., among others.
The guy who played Guru Saj voiced Pleakley in "Lilo & Stitch". I heard Pleakley's voice when he said the lines "Clearly not the way to go!" and "Well it's gone"
Fun fact - two potential love interests from this season would go on three years later to marry as "Tommy" (played by Ben Stiller) has been married to "Bonnie" (played by Christine Taylor) since 2000. They have a daughter who will be 22 this year "Ella" & a son who will be 19 (Quinn). Christine Taylor gained her fame in the middle 1990s because of her looking almost exactly like Maureen McCormack (who played Marsha Brady on "The Brady Bunch" between 1969 and 1974 & Christine would play Marcia in the two Brady Bunch movies in the 1990s)
Fun fact - in the first episode, the two love interests Phoebe was struggling to choose between were both played by actors who had decent roles as love interests in Queer as Folk US 2000.
@@Daytondaily I know right! I noticed it only on a very recent re-watch of Friends... Almost twenty years later than I possibly should have. I felt both clever and slow 😁
1:55 Yeah, I was staying at my grandma's place in Greece for holidays when I was a teenager, didn't have a laptop so basically my only source of entertainment was TV when they would show something in English (as I don't know Greek), and so it happened that the only thing that was playing at night was... Sex and the City. And of course my Grandma walked in on a more mature part, and since then she keeps thinking I was watching porn even though I told her repeatedly that it was a tv show.
Okay, serious series suggestion: Malcolm in the Middle. It's a sitcom about an absolute crazy, messed up but lovable family, has great comedy and drama. The characters are fantastic as well, played by very talented actors. I would love to see my favorite reactor react to it. Sooooo...please?
If you want a phenomenal Robin Williams movie, I always recommend, "What Dreams May Come"....just make sure you're in a mentally healthy place first, it's a very deep, heavy, beautiful movie
I miss Robin Williams so much, every movie I’ve seen him in are always so wholesome and nostalgic - his scene partner, Billy Crystal deserves some love too! He is a great stand up comedian and starred in a few movies, his most famous probably being the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally (1989), which would be a good movie to react too 😊, and voicing Mike Wazowski in Monsters Inc (2001)
I’m finally caught up to your Friends videos, and now I’ll be looking forward to them every Monday. I would love to see you watch Schitt’s Creek after Friends is over. Such amazing character growth mixed with loads of humor. I think you would really enjoy it.
this isn't a comment about Friends, but I love Robin Williams as well.... if you have not seen " The Birdcage ", you definitely definitely should watch it
Not sure how far ahead you film your videos, but without any spoilers I'd just say I wouldn't mind if you did the finale of this season and the first episode of the next together as they pair together well. Or in the future 3 episode videos are always welcome. ;P Though I realize that's more editing for you per video, though I've enjoyed/appreciated when you've done it with Avatar TLA.
If you love seeing Robin Williams’ improv in action you should defo watch Good Morning Vietnam - it’s obviously got a serious overtone but Robin is so amazing that apparently he spent over 6 hours improving. All the reactions of the other actors are real and it’s incredible to watch.
I really hate what they did to Pete. It was so random and out of character. He had been chasing Monica for weeks and he was just ready to give her up for this. I don't understand people who want to get beaten up and risk serious injuries. It feels very self-destructive or even like some form of masochism. If you don't know, the guy with Robin Williams is comedian and actor Billy Crystal who is likely most known for the rom-com When Harry Met Sally. Robin and Billy also starred in the movie Father's Day which was released the day after this episode aired. Fun fact: Their cameo wasn't in the script. They just happened to be nearby where the show was being filmed and the writers asked if they wanted to make a guest appearance. Their scene was completely improvised, including Joey's line and Monica's line at the end (Courteney Cox actually forgot what she was supposed to say). I am down for a Jumanji reaction! I also recommend Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, Patch Adams, What Dreams May Come, The Fisher King, Bicentennial Man and Flubber. Another fun fact is that Christine Taylor who plays Bonnie is married to Ben Stiller.

Seeing that you like Robin Williams as much as I do, I'm sure you would enjoy watching one of his best films, bicentenial man, even do a reaction video to it, if you're up for it
