Turns out, that scene with Amber Heard was kind of a documentary.
It def hits different these days.
wow i didnt know that this was Amber Heard.
@@just2coolkk pre all that surgery. She was also in a Criminal Minds episode around this time
Zombieland, a movie about a monster parading as someone else.
@@just2coolkk same, she is unrecognizable.
Drinking alcohol and shooting guns.
The Russian girl: aaaww, that's so romantic! 🥰
The 3 on the vehicles is a reference to the late Dale Earnhardt, who was a NASCAR driver (a mostly-American racing series). He drove the number 3 for a majority of his career.
What you fail to mention is that Earnhardt earned the name "the Intimidator" by his aggressive driving style. He took no prisoners, and neither does Tallahassee.
@Starman62 darn right I forgot that. 👍
Sad fact from me: the very first Nascar race I watched was the one Dale *died* in it! 😥 It's only after that that I learned who he was and how much he was important to the sport.
@@dIggl3r That is so ironic to me. The LAST race I watched was when Earnhardt died. Nascar was already going down the wrong path by then, Dale was the only reason I kept watching. With him gone I was done. I have held true to that and have not watched any part of a Nascar race.
@@starman6280 Wow!
I remember I was working at a haunted attraction when this movie came out and our haunt actually collaborated with the local theater to promote the movie and our haunt. I and several actors dressed up as zombies and got to see the premiere while also scaring those in line. Good times.
That's awesome.
@@jeremyfrost2636 Thank you.
The reason I think guys miss kissing moments is fear and uncertainty. It’s better for a girl to kiss a guy who doesn’t want to be kissed, than a guy to kiss a girl who doesn’t want to be kissed. The guy will be uncomfortable whereas the girl will press charges
Dude no one's gonna press charges going for a kiss worse thing that will happens is getting it rejected. Which can suck but oh well life goes on.
"I would totally destroy something too"!! Dasha just gets more and more awesome.
Some evil countrymen of hers had the same idea...
@@PROVOCATEURSK Zing!
@@PROVOCATEURSK Really?
@@PROVOCATEURSK What country are you from? Let's talk about the invasions your country has been involved in... :)
@@jackthehat1093 Yep, let's do that. Let's also talk about destabilization of other governments and their subversion of democracies for their interests. Let's talk about how they stop Mexico, their equivalent neighbor from doing what they want in the democratic process and threaten them with sanctions and other things. Let's also talk about the fishy connections that a bunch of people involved in this conflict have with the WEF and monetary institutions. Oh but they wont go there cause they are the "good guys." They kinda used to be, sure, but not anymore.
I think this is how Bill Murray wants to go, with his only regret being Garfield
As others have mentioned, the sequel is a must watch, as is the British zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead. The intro song is a shortened version of the Metallica song "For Whom The Bell Tolls"
Was for metallica that i found the movie
That's almost correct.

You want more Zombieland? They have a part 2 with the original 4 cast members.
1:27. The guy who gets eaten by a zombie while on the toilet is Mike White, an actor and writer who appeared in the films Chuck & Buck, as well as School Of Rock with Jack Black, came in 2nd on Survivor David Vs. Goliath, and competed on Seasons 14 and 18 of The Amazing Race alongside his father.
He also wrote School of Rock, as well as a few other movies and TV episodes
Well, if you enjoyed this one, you'll pretty much have to watch Shaun of the Dead now. Also a horror comedy featuring zombies. Sharply written and hilarious. Then after that, you'll have to watch Hot Fuzz, by the same people. And finish off the unofficial trilogy with The World's End.
You forgot "Paul."
Yes my guy ! Such unique movies.
@@Rebelrocker69
How could he forget Paul?
Yes, guys do think about the brush-her-hair-behind-her-ear thing.
I loved how they showed the twinkie scene from Ghostbusters LOL
Dasha, the banjo tune and the "He got a purtty (pretty) mouth!" line is from the movie Deliverance.
@markb742 AKA the "Jaws" theme for homophobic forest hikers🤣
This movie rules, the sequel was solid too and worth a watch, was great seeing the characters again after a decade
When going into the grocery store, he played a couple notes on the banjo. The notes were the beginning of "Dueling Banjos", kinda famous for the movie "Deliverance"
Which is also where the line "He got a real pretty mouth" comes from. Y'know to drive home the Deliverance reference.
@@flatebo1 True but I really doubt Tallahassee wanted a blow job from the zombie...lol
A Twinkie is a small, yellow spongecake with cream filling in the center. It's very sweet.
The banjo and the line in the supermarket, "You got a purty (pretty) mouth." are references to the movie Deliverance. A group of male friends go vacation in the deep woods and encounter hillbillies who terrorize them.
You haven't done titanic yet? I don't even really like it and I still regard it as an all time unimpeachable classic movie.
my favorite zombie comedy is Shaun of the Dead. it's a rom com zom actually.
Braindead does that genre combination better.
I think the official term is rom zom com.
Because a romantic comedy zombie just wouldn't make sense, unless you're describing the main character in Warm Bodies that is.
@@andrewjones575 Braindead is the bloodiest movie ever made though lol. We don't want to traumatize poor Dasha, do we?
@@jeremyfrost2636 It's so lighthearted & funny that it isn't that scary.
I love this movie!! One of my favorites. You need to react to Zombieland: Double Tap, same cast ten years later. The girl Columbus took into his apartment is Amber Heard, now infamous because of the defamation trial with Johnny Depp occurring now.
Whaaaat, that's crazy, I had no idea that girl was amber heard, must have been one of her earliest roles.
Shaun of the Dead is another great Zombie comedy. Hope that ends up on your must watch list.
Great reaction and so glad you've watched Ghostbusters to completely get how awesome the Bill Murray scenes were. Keep it up! :)
The scene at Columbus‘s apartment is actually real footage of amber heard and Johnny Depp. They just green screened Jessie Eisenberg in.
Yeah it's impossible not to relate her scene to the marriage.
Lol at Dasha being afraid of blood
When she sounds exactly like an vampire from movies
4:47 A Twinkie is a kind of cream filled yellow sponge cake. It's one of the many cakes and desserts made by the Hostess company. That's why he thought he might find Twinkies in an abandoned Hostess truck. Snoballs are another dessert they make, but that's not what he was looking for. He's obsessed with finding a Twinkie.
You can have more. They already made Zombieland 2. It's Release was Three Years ago in 2019. So exactly 10 years after the thirst one. And its also very great and funny.
Beat me to it!!
I haven't seen the second one yet.
"It's a hookah on weed! Do they even do that?!"
Oh honey, there's so much to learn.
For fun Zombie movies I liked Shawn of the Dead, this one you are watching, and Warm Bodies. I think you would really enjoy that last one.
Shaun of the dead is excellent. And Dasha would love warm bodies
she should see return of the living dead.
If you like this movie (Zombieland). Then you’ll love Zombieland 2 Double Tap. It’s just as good; even better than the first.
Agreed! I think I liked it better than the first
"I've never watched Titanic" ..... WHAT??? 😊... You must be the last female to NOT have watched Titanic .... And being a sucker for romance as you are, you MUST do a reaction to it :) ... You will love it!
A little fun fact: in every scene where Tallahassee is looking for Twinkies but can't find them, there are Twinkies in the scene somewhere.
7:16 - a movie reference here. Tallahassee plays the first few chords to 'dueling banjos' a song from the movie "Deliverance" which used the phrase 'you got a perdy (pretty) mouth.' Might want to get feedback from others before watching that.
One of my favorite comedies, *Kingpin,* stars Bill Murray and Woody Harrelson as bowling rivals, such a funny movie!
19:42 - Because girls usually don't tell us. If we think it's the right moment & it isn't, she'll likely slap us.
Dasha - please watch “Enemy At The Gates”. It’s an American movie about a Russian sniper/hero from WW2. Great movie and I’d be curious of your opinion of it.
Heroes don´t kill people ;)
@@PROVOCATEURSK the Germans invaded their lands and wanted to install their Fascist ideals. they didn't have a choice, they were invaded, and they chose to defend themselves. so, yes Heroes can defend their Freedom and their way of life from Foreign Invaders, Occupiers, and Oppressors. quit making this more than what it is. as the OP was just making it a suggestion. keep it apolitical.
It is a good movie
Great film to watch
Yes! I think she'll like that one! It's a great movie!
The Bill Murray part was originally written for Sylvester Stallone but he dropped out at the last minute. We were actually already shooting when Woody Harrelson suggested his buddy, Bill Murray, who happened to be in town shooting a movie. He made the phone call and a week later we shot the scenes with Bill. Turned out pretty good.
You were part of the making of the film that's cool😎
@@jd3thegreat I was the Key Grip on Zombieland. We shot mostly in Atlanta but the amusement park was in Valdosta, GA.
@@eddieevans6692 what does a key grip do? And what other films have you worked on?
@@jd3thegreat The Key Grip is like the Forman of the grip department. We deal with shaping and modifying the light and camera movement, like on a crane or dolly. Some other movies I have done are The Blind Side, The Crucible, The Accountant and strangely The Walking Dead.
4:30 If they have Twinkies where you are, definitely try them. They're so good. Little cakes filled with sweet cream. They come in different flavors now too, but try the basic ones first if you can find them and then you'll know whether you like them enough to bother with, say, banana flavored ones.
7:10 I've never heard of choco pies, but I'm gonna look for them now. You've piqued my curiosity Dasha.
7:25 "You've got a purty mouth" is a line from another movie that features the banjo, Deliverance. It's a genre known as "backwoods horror", where psycho rednecks are the villains... very good, but very intense movie with some actors who, unknown in the 1970s when the movie was made, wound up becoming huge stars.
1. I can’t speak for other guys, but I miss out on perfect moments for kisses because I’m bad at reading social situations and really, really don’t want to make that mistake. I did once and it was the most embarrassing, awkward, uncomfortable feeling in the world.
2. Try a Twinkie if you can. They’re kind of like spongy, sugary cake with cream injected into the center, very delicious.
3. Watch Shaun of the Dead and the other movies in the Cornetto trilogy (Hot Fuzz and World’s End. There is blood in it, but its such a worthwhile watch and one of the funniest movies you’ll see.
I'm sure someone else has cleared this up already, but just in case: A Twinkie is a very light fluffy, long and thin pastry with cream filling [in Ghostbusters they use one as a metaphor for the PKE readings, and are seen eating one]; What was inside the truck were "Snowballs" a different pastry, with the same fluffy breading, but with coconut flakes on the outside and I think cream filling? Which is why Woody's character is acting so mad.
Snowballs are like a filled cupcake 🧁 with a coating of marshmallow, topped with a coating of coconut.
6:18 “you want to feel how hard I can punch?” 😂 I forgot that line. Clever way of saying to “STFU”
The motorcycle scene always cracks me up. It looks all serious with serious music and then he just falls off.
In filming, this was a real store. Producers bought the whole store out and set about destroying everything. I hope the owners made some money in the process.
The table of beads spilling traumatizes me every time I see it.
See amber heard is in the movie and she CONVENIENTLY left out how she was bitten by a zombie. She's always been a liar. 🤔
This movie is a masterpiece. Loved your reaction. 😂
Yes too me this is the best Zombie movie!!!!
1:12 ....."Cardio is important"..... Running or be eaten?..... Fuck, give me the mustard, I rather taste good.....
Gucci bags are the best protection from zombies. Forget guns and a sword, grab a Gucci bag.
🤣🤣🤣
"Shaun of the Dead" is the funniest zombie movie.
They could also have made a zomedy about a guy named Fred trying to survive a zombie apocalypse and called it _"Dawn Of The Fred"_
So that is what Johnny was going through when Amber was abusing him.
Well this movie toned it down a little.
Dasha the reason guys miss the perfect moment is we 2nd guess ourselves when they don't have much experience. I mean imagine if you tried to kiss someone and you had read everything wrong. It dosent get much more embarrassing and awkward than that. Just thinking about it makes me wanna crawl into a hole. Ohh and playing with a girls hair is one of the more relaxing things a guy can do.
There's sequel if you want more. It came out 10 years later in 2019 and has all four main actors.
24:52 The city itself isn't bad either. I usually end up going there for concerts lol.
Awesome reaction as usual, Dasha!
I _love_ that: "there are no days off when zombies are around!" Excellent, Dasha! That should be Rule #1!
P.S. - now you have to check out _"Zombieland: Double Tap"_ ... the fun continues (not *quite* as fun/funny, but pretty close!).
And yeah, the Bill Murray part was *really* good!
This is so great that you watched this movie and reviewed it!!! This is my favorite Zombie film of all time!!! It has everything Action Horror comedy and romance!!! Are you going to review the second? I really hope so!! It's another good one. But not as good as the 1st one!! But very entertaining!!!!
Dang. I didn't expect seeing people I know here. Small world. Aren't you in major server?
Objection your honour. He was not homeless. Hearsay.
Number 3 is for Dale Earnhardt, favorite nascar driver
The Intimidator.
Tallahassee's amazing but Columbus is so relatable to me
Twinkle is angelfood cake filled with cream filling. Snowballs are chocolate cake, filled with cream filling, but then covered in marshmallow and then covered in coconut.
Dasha, Dasha, Dasha! Don't sell yourself short. You are doing just fine. Some of the things you miss are missed by thousands of natives whose cultural history has been neglected for one reason or another. Never stop trying and you'll never ever stop learning. It's wonderful that beautiful people like you are still interested in the trivial behaviors of people like me. Just keep on track and someday you'll be just as full of this useless information as a lot of us seem to be. Sometimes we're wrong about things and that's okay too. Some of don't handle failure well but for the most part we get over it. It's all part of the learning experience. Live and learn babe.
"It's a hookah with weed" is such a sign of the times lol
Great reactions as always Dasha, but you have to see Titanic one of these days
I was happy when I heard her say that, since that means we’ll most likely get a reaction sometime in the near future.
horror comedies who are MUST watches
"Tucker and Dale VS Evil"
"Shaun of the Dead"
"Evil Dead" / "Evil Dead 2"
"Dead Alive/Braindead"
"Cabin in the Woods"
"Beetlejuice"
You can't list The Evil Dead movies without Army of Darkness.
@@TheJabbate1 yeah but army of darkness has Zero to none horror in it, that's why it's not listed
No Scream?
Now you can watch Zombieland 2, it's worth it!
04:57 Rule 1A - "Never trust Amber Heard."
A Twinkie is a snack cake with sponge cake and artificial cream they are very nice 😎
I was surprised when you said you haven't seen Titanic. You should definitely react to it.
I love the “3” on Tallahassee’s car, a reference to NASCAR legendary driver Dale Earnhardt. 😂
I'm glad that you were familiar with at least some of Bill Murray's work before seeing him portray himself in this. Otherwise your viewing experience wouldn't have been as good as it should.
You have to watch the movie Kingpin. Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray both star in it. iTs hilarious
The NZ film Braindead is by far the best zombie comedy I've seen.
Early career Peter Jackson is a fun watch but an acquired taste.
Funny you mentioned Deadpool early on, Dasha - Zombieland was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, whom also wrote Deadpool and Deadpool 2.
About the school dance he mentioned. A Sadie Hawkins dance is one to which the girls have to ask the guys. Of the schools that have dances, many of them will have one Sadie Hawkins each school-year. The rest of the dances are typical in that the guys are expected to do the inviting.
As for Twinkies, if you do get one, just be aware that they are not what they were when they became famous, decades ago. Now they are more chemicals than cake. They are awful.
Best comment ever... "There are no days off when zombies are around."
Thats again Dasha for saving my day with this reaction :))
Funny thing. I'm pretty sure at around the 5:00 mark that was Amber Heard. You know, the one that was recently in court for abusing Johnny Depp. That trial was a circus. If you're bored watch it. It's kind of funny how stupid the whole thing was.
If you've really never seen Titanic, you gotta make that a priority.
It's a wonderful movie. Just be sure to drink plenty of Gatorade, you're gonna lose a lot of electrolytes from crying.
But it's still fantastic. It's like Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. It's a film that is an EXPERIENCE.
Bill Murray and Woody Harrelson are in another film together, Kingpin
Dasha. Twinkies and snowballs are a cream filled sponge cake. The biggest difference is snowballs have shaved coconut on top. And in my and Tallahassee's opinion are gross. Where as Twinkies are freaking so delicious they're are evil
Hostess is a company that makes a variety of cake snacks. A Twinkie is a yellow cake filled with a white cream. The pink ones in the truck are a chocolate cake rolled on marshmallow and coconut with a white cream center.
Yep. The pink ones in the truck are called Snowballs. There's also a chocolate one, either Ding Dongs or Ho Hos (one is Hostess, the other is discount brand) as well as a couple of other similar products.
The opening of this movie is one of my favorite of all time

thank you to both sides......thank you Dasha for acknowledging the fans......and thank you to all of the other fans, for encouraging her into this
Dasha: how do you make zombies into a comedy?
The internet: SHAUN OF THE DEAD!!
Might as well watch Zombieland: Double Tap.
There's a movie reference from 7:20 to 7:26. The banjo notes and the phrase "you've got a pretty mouth" are both from the movie "Deliverance", a movie about men raping men, murder and survival in the wilderness.
Alright
Let's get this out there..
If any of you choose snowballs over twinkies, we can't be friends 😅
Bill Murray has the best death scene ever put on film. “Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”
If you are looking for another comedy in this genre, I would suggest "Fido". It's a Canadian zombie-comedy and much less graphic than this... if you can handle Zombieland, Fido wont overwhelm you.
You said it was too short, you wanted to watch more. Well you can.... Zombieland Double Tap!
Around the time I first saw this movie I was playing a lot of Left 4 Dead 2. The levels in the amusement park always felt like a perfect game to play with this movie on in background.
What a nice surprise, I absolutely love this movie! Glad you liked it, it's proof you can have a zombie movie and make it funny! Didn't remember it was that short but a lot of more modern movies tend to be shorter than the movies that would come back back in the 90s and before, and it's not necessarily a bad thing but there's a Zombieland 2 if you want to watch it too!
There's a lot of mentioning of Zombieland 2, but there was also a TV pilot ... which wasn't up to par with the movie, but really wasn't too bad. Amazon channel, 2013. The cast didn't have the chemistry, but I wanted to see a "Zombie kill of the week" every week.
one of the pretty great 'unknown' flicks......
I forgot about that sunscreen line 😂. Now I gotta go listen to Everyone is Free to Wear Sunscreen
Yes, a shorter movie, but none of it is boring. 90 minutes is that sweet spot unless you really have some good story for the middle act. So many movies start strong, fall off in the middle, then finish strong fooling you that it was a better movie than it was. I wish more movies were shorter for this reason.
Luckily there is a sequel. It just took too long to come out
The haunted house scene was filmed at Netherworld which is an awesome haunted house in my home city of Atlanta. Love the movie, and love Dasha’s reaction!
14:30 there are places you can go where you pay to smash up a room they set it back up after each use.. well the things not totally broken and replace the rest
Yeah, I think they're called rage rooms.
Well, now you're going to have to put Titanic on the list. I think you will appreciate the history side of it and the great love story as well.
You might like _Little Miss Sunshine_ which has the younger sister's actor back when she was 7. Great dark comedy with top notch acting from everyone
Tallahasse was wiping his tears off with Monopoly money.
It's funny how you mention Deadpool. Rhett Reese (the guy in the white tux shooting the AK at the beginning) wrote this movie and the Deadpool movie.
