The last remaining of the C&O was bought out by CSX in the middle of restoring SOU/C&O 2716. Now CSX 2716. One night I heard the whistle from it. (Which is a hooter whistle)
CSX Wasn't Able to use diesels during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) so they leased out 2716 to work for them. It was very hard!

?Why isn't 2617 running under it's own steam power yet
It needs to be rebuilt back to operational condition first. This was simply the move of 2716 to the place where it’s now being steadily rebuilt at.
