There are some Genshin live concerts with full symphonic orchestra mixed with more modern takes like jazz, techno and metal. This particular piece was composed fon Inazuma, a fantasy nation inspired by ancient Japan, so the game hired all Japanese musicians for authenticity. They do this for each nation, inspired by different cultures.

For you to have an idea about the Japanese Instruments:
Shamisen - the three stringed guitars, the big pick is part of the instrument.
    Koto - the horizontal harp
    Shakuhachi - the flute
Taiko - the drums, the collective. The symbol at the membrane of the big taiko drum at the center, the three "commas", are a symbol of deity and eternity in Japanese mythology.

    • @manachanneI

The symbol on the drum that looks like the OBS logo is actually Mitsudomoe. In Genshin it's the symbol of the Electro element and also of the Inazuma deity, Raiden Shogun. In real life it's been used in Japan for centuries to symbolize all sorts of things. In fact, OBS logo is also a Mitsudomoe. Since Inazuma is heavily inspired by Japan it's quite appropriate that this is the symbol chosen to represent it.
One of the nice things about Genshin OST is that tracks for each region use instruments that are traditional in the parts of the world that were the prototypes for those in-game regions. Mondstadt uses European instruments, Liyue - Chinese, Inazuma - Japanese, Sumeru - Arabic, Indian and Persian. Moreover, the choice of instruments also reflects the theme of each region. For example, Mondstadt is the domain of the God of Winds, so Yu-Peng Chen (the composer of all the Genshin tracks) made sure to use a lot of wind instruments.

    • @williansnobre
      @williansnobre Год назад +3

The symbol is a genius take on the tradicional form of the three magatama coming together because the negative space between them end up forming three sparks of lightning joining together, it fits Inazuma both as the nation based on Japan and as the nation of the Electro Archon.

    - Overworld tracks: "Hustle and Bustle of Ormos", "A Storm, A Spire, and A Sanctum (Dvalin's Nest)", "Liyue"
    - Combat tracks: "Combat Beneath the Waves", "Inevitable Conflict", "Die Mittsommernacht-Fantasie"
    - Boss themes: Tartaglia's boss theme, La Signora's boss theme, Scaramouche's boss theme (all of them have multiple phases, so look for "all phases")
    - Character demos themes: "Any Last Words?" (Hu Tao's theme), "Dance of Aphros" (Eula's theme), "Flow of Autumn Wind" (Kazuha's theme)

The stringed instrument with the ‘fan’ plucking the strings is called a Shamisen, which literally just means “three-strings”. The ‘fan’ is a wooden paddle called a Bachi, which is used to play the instrument, although sometimes musicians will just pluck the strings with their fingers if the song is over quickly or they have a very small part in the song
The “big guy” is another stringed instrument known as the Koto. It’s a popular instrument in East Asian countries, but the Koto is the most popular rendition of it. It has 13 strings (usually) which you pluck with fingerpicks on three of your fingers. You change pitch of the strings by pressing down on them using your other hand
I’m pretty sure the flute is a standard bamboo flute and the drums are Wadaiko and other taiko drums

To tell the truth, sometimes the soundtrack can be distracting because how beautiful it is and so match with the atmosphere. Genshin basically an adventure game, so you follow a main character doing quests to unfold the stories. This far there is 4 regions with different cultures so the soundtrack will change depends on the region. When you not fighting, sometimes there is music in the background that you really like and you just stop doing whatever and you just listen to it till its over and change into another music.

Ok. As much as I love both of these soundtracks you reacted to , I feel like the choices were not exactly for you 😂. You know your western instruments and orchestral music and the game has all those elements too.
Because it's a big open-world with multiple different regions, cultures, versions and characters... The game has equal variety of awesome soundtracks.
Want some mediaeval Europe? China? Japan? Middle eastern sounds? Soundtracks made up of pure string quartet? Harpsichord based Baroque style Fantasy castle? Full orchestra with Opera style modern classical pieces?
The game has all of these. And in an abundance too and all of them are amazing.
All weakly boss battle themes are like full on classical music pieces with Opera or Modern metal included. My favorites are Azhdaha and Scaramouche boss fight themes.
There was a 1 month temporary event and the event actually had a full on fantasy castle with soo many different soundtracks all with the key sounds being Harpsichord... Never heard of the instrument before but loved it.
There is also this underwater-like region...kinda like an abandoned Atlantis kinda vibe... Ruins of an ancient Atlantis kingdom you could say. And the battle themes are all made with just string quartet and similar string instruments. But until I actually looked it up and noticed, you won't even realise it is only that
There is a snowy mountain with some of the best sounds of the whole game....there is a massive desert with all these Egyptian-Arabian vibe in the music... Rainforest with fun melodies...
Check more stuff too. You won't regret it
