Hi, I'm an not a believer, I was baptised as a baby into Catholic Church. After becoming an adult and I'm going to start the official process of officially leaving church soon (while living in Poland) but I'm worried that it won't be taken into consideration when I move to Germany. I've read that according to church doctrine, once you've been baptised, the bond cannot be broken, the church can still consider me Catholic :( it's so scary to me, I don't want to be part of this organisation, I don't want to be charged with church tax ; _ ; will that doctrine make it impossible to me to be considered an apostate in Germany???

Hi, unfortunately I don't know how exactly these cases are handled. As a baptised person in Germany, you can notify the church that you no longer want to be part of it and they have to accept it. Maybe other candidates here have experience with how it works as a foreign citizen?

And the church tax is for the Padres and their rooms for little boys. In Germany wie like the katholische Kirche. They are the best for little Boys. Thank you, love Germany
