Awesome video! I went to the local Ausländerbehörde today, to ask if I would be able to try to apply for a long-stay visa, as I arrived in Germany to visit in September and leave in December. However, the lady that I spoke with told me that I would have to go to do the process from the US. I had mentioned that I was a US citizen, with a valid US passport and I was interested in the resident permit so I could look for work
Thank you for this valuable information! Do you know if current holders of IT Specialist permit could apply for EU Blue Card if they meet the new requirements? If so, I'm also curious if our current working time here in Germany will count for the Permanent Residence benefit that the Blue Card offers.
Hi, thanks a lot for the info. I wonder if the permanent residency with 27 months-A1 German level is applicable only for the new comers after March 2024 or also for the blue card holders who have been in Germany more than 2 years/before march 2024? Thanks!
I have a question please. I came to Germany with a job seekers visa and got a job after a month. I converted my visa into a normal residence permit not a blue card and worked with it for 7 months. After that I got a new job which permitted me to apply for a blue card. For such a situation, when will my 21 months count for my permanent residence? Will it start after I got my blue card or it will start counting from when I entered Germany??
I want to know the blue card months counting system! It's written that after 21 months with B1 and 33 months with A1 can apply for PR, But as you know issuing your Blue card, the Immigration office takes a lot of time! Sometimes it takes more than 3 months to receive your card! So, do they count those late process times! Example: Someone got a job in January but received a card in March or April in this case will they count those 3 months!
Hey, thank you so much for the information. it was really helpful. I had a query, hope you can help me. Apart from these changes what about the avarage salary? I have heard that people only get eu Blue card when their salary is more than avarage salary in the field in Germany. "salary must be least 1.5 times the national average" that's what I found on internet. Please let me know how this works.
Hi, the current minimum threshold for the EU Blue Card is €45,300 annual gross salary and €41,041.80 for graduates and shortage professions. You can try out our visa check to gain a better understanding: hallogermany.com/#visacheck
@@HalloGermany hey, Thanks for your reply, I've already applied for the EU Blue Card. It's been 8 weeks but I haven't heard anything from Ausländerbehörde. Should I be worried? Or is it normal?
Dear Anna Thank you so much for sharing such a useful information. I’ve a query. I want you to please respond to it. I started working in December 2022 with a work permit according to residence Act 18b para 1. From Oct 2023 I changed it to Blue card according to 18 b para 2. I want to know that when I’ll be able to apply for settlement permit? How the time period will count in my case? Please reply
Hi, thanks for your comment. We are currently trying to find out how these changes are handled and how the actual months are counted. We will publish a video on this once we have received an answer by the German authorities!
I applied for the German EU blue card and did my interview on 13th of October from Nigeria, I didn't know about this new changes. This is an awesome change. My challenge is I recently got married by August, and I would really love my wife to join me immediately but it seems impossible as she is still in the waiting list and haven't gotten an appointment date yet. Is there anything that can be done with this new changes to facilitate and expedite her coming over when my visa is approved?. Thanks for this video.
Hi tnx for info great news. when i am applying for a job in germany from my country I am getting asked if i need assistance for relocation and what kind of assistance do i need. I work in IT. So my question is what kind of support we need ? do we need some kind of confirmation from authorities of germany given to the company to show than to the embassy ? or maybe the signed contract is enough?
Hi, the company needs to provided you with a Declaration of Employment and a signed work contract. These documents are usually required to apply for a work visa. You can find more information on the required documents on the website of your local German embassy.
Hi, I have a question. I am a Industrial Engineer and having 9+ years of experience. Can I work as a Production assistant ( Montagehilfe) in a vehicle assembly company like BMW ? which permit will I get? How can I contact you? Thanks
Hello, I am an Electrical and Electronics Engineer as non- EU(Turkey) master's student in Austria and I am staying here more than a year. I got a full time job offer from Germany. I have a valid student residence permit in Austria. Is it possible for me to apply to Blue Card by coming directly to Germany at the Ausländerbehörde without applying any other visa before coming to Germany at the embassy in my home country or at the embassy in Austria ?
Hi, this depends on several individual factors and is subject to the decision of the German authorities. You can read more about family reunion here: www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/visa-residence/family-reunification
