- New to Bolt Action, and new to wargaming John joins us at the Ministry of Miniatures to run through the rules of Bolt Action using the Band of Brothers starter set by Warlord and see what it is all about.
As a new player who wanted to try the Bolt Action rules and play using the Band of Brothers starter set by Warlord Games, John is keen to have a go, learn the rules and play the 101st Airborne.
Watch as this weekends report runs through the mechanics and basics of running a simple, yet fun game of Bolt Action…
…but who will win, the infamous US 101st Airborne Easy Company or the German grenadiers with their half track.
The battle will unfold across ruins and hedgerows in a skirmish that can only have one outcome!
Another great battle, fantastic board and a few laughs and banter along the way…

@@TheGreyWolf94 I am slowly building my DAK force to fight against my 8th army… it’s becoming a labour of love, because work and family commitments have slowed productivity, but I do love the DAK… just need to get them painted!
This video is coming at a perfect time, someone is having a Demo game for me of Bolt action at my LGS tomorrow and I am so excited that I already ordered the British Airborne starter set direct from Warlord games yesterday for my first army.

@@theministryofminiatures I was originally going to start collecting Japanese, but they are more expensive and I saw how good of a deal the Airborne have and ordered immediately (Since I am starting the game I still had to have money for stuff like my Core rules book and Order dice) I always thought British Airborne were so cool looking ever since I was a kid playing original Medal of honor: Allied assault on PC. I'll definitely get the Japanese for my second army though!

32 min shooting at squad behind the hedge they where down is it not Another -2 to hit ?
Possibly, would need to go back over it.
I think you were forgetting the morale modifier for the officer?
Did we miss one? I know we were including the morale modifier, thats why he moved his officer up to get the bonus.
Again the BOB set would be far better and more equal if Warlord got rid of the SD Kfz 251/10 and replace it with a 251/9 Stummel. Or even a regular troop carrier 251/1. The 10 would be good if the US had some type of vehicle be it a Jeep or even truck. But as is, it really is an underwhelming unit in this box set. That is my only criticism when it comes to the Band of Brothers set.
yeah, I can see that... it was a VERY popular set at the UKGE at the NEC this year, and brought a lot of new players to look at the game. Some of the newer sets are great value, and really well balanced. The new player was keen to play the starter set, I was happy to teach him the basics.

When I played this set, I felt the exact same way. Missed every shot with that cannon haha
