The last week has seen an increase in your inability to find a word or phrase. I know you have SUNK a lot of effort and COST into 3 reports a day, every day......... Your health matters too. Other War analysts and normal folk take days off or vacation

Andrew included the ru helicopter because it was on the flight back after a combat mission over Sumy region. So it's a war loss but not a combat loss. A ru military helicopter that crashes in Arkhangelsk won't be a war loss. At least i guess.

Fighter Bombers comments regarding RC-135 refer to the British AWACS plane (escorted by two Typhoons) flying over the Black Sea 48-hours ago. He's linking it to the Russian S300/S400 systems getting whacked a day or so afterwards. Well-done UK, keep feeding that intel for ATACMS/Storm Shadow to do their thing. Russia cannot do a thing about it as NATO are free to fly within international air space.

The RC-135 'Rivet Joint' is a U.S and British (RAF) operated Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) gathering aircraft. It can intercept and geolocate radio and radar transmissions from long distances.
The reference by 'fighterbomber' is sarcastically referring to ELINT assistance provided to the AFU by NATO 'Rivet Joint' aircraft orbiting over the Black Sea and NATO territory.
The 'Rivet Joint' can intercept and locate all sorts of electronic emission's including radar emitters and mobile phone communications.
The RC-135 will be 'hunting' for emissions given off by Russian radar's and headquarters units. It can also monitor Russian air operations via their radar emissions and radio transmissions.
Russian radio 'chatter' can be translated by Intel specialists onboard and uploaded via Satcomm to higher headquarters for further analysis.

Bit of a history lesson for you Johnatan, the godfather of modern guerilla warfare Michael Collins realised that if you cannot govern a country there is no point in fighting as with the British withdrawal from Ireland in 1921. There wasn't a courthouse, police station, post office or council building left standing. This is how Ukraine retakes Crimea.

The most reliable source of intelligence don't come from chinese satellites for ruSSia but thru long range recon drones that fly freely over Ukraine ! Satellite imagery must be analyzed in China, than must be autorized to be relased to ruSSia, then analyzed by ruSSia , then a strike ordered. That's mostly too long. The images of recon drones are analyzed in real time and a plane strike with Kab or an Iskander strike can be released withing less than an hour. Sattelite imagery has other purposes mostly. They can also be used for that if the info comes fast enough, see US, but not a country that doesn't have it's own good satellites.

Something important to know, for all who interested in history and/or support Ukraine:
Rus' ought not to be confused with modern “Russia”, which derives its name from the Rus' but historically is a completely different state, which almost all its existence was at war with the Rus'.
Just like the Holy Roman Empire was actually Germany, “Russia” is actually Muscovy, despite their best attempts to convince everybody otherwise.
Its name “Russia" received only in the 18th century, when Peter I simply changed Muscovy’s name into the “All Russian Empire” (Russia originates from Rosia, name used by the Greek Orthodox Clergy in regards to Rus')
Under the reign of Cathrine II Muscovites where even punished for continuing to identify as Muscovites, and were forced to call themselves Russian.
Lands that Russia (Muscovy) claims were part of the original Rus', but actually weren't, are Novgorod, Suzdal, and Ryazan, since in historical texts of XI-XII centuries they are mentioned as separate entities from Rus'. They can be considered parts of extended Rus', although their culture was distinct from main Rus'.
In 1493, Muscovite duke Ivan III appointed himself to be the Great Ruler of All Rus'. No other kings acknowledged that. From that point on Muscovy started to make false claims on Rus' ownership.
“Russia” is an offshoot of Ukraine and not the other way round, despite what Soviet and Russian (Muscovite) historians have been trying to say for years. A Slavicised Finnic, then later, Mongolized offshoot. Kyiv was a developed cultured capital when Moscow was just another swamp village.
Moreover, in the Italian sources of the 15th century it is likewise mentioned, that Russia is bordered by Poland to the west, Lithuania and Livonia to the north, and *Muscovy* to the east, further proving that Russia historically speaking, is an exonym of Ukraine, that was stolen by Muscovy.
Germany used to call itself the Holy Roman Empire, that didn’t mean they became the Romans, and all of a sudden had a right to claim whole of Italy and its history, but yet, that’s exactly what Russia (Muscovy) did in regards to Rus'-Ukraine, which is a horrible injustice!
