    Really enjoyed that. Again, as with Bolt Action I like the length of the film. I like the way you explain the rules etc as you are going, it helps me understand the flow. Great table, beautifully painted figures. Phalanx v Legion anyone?😂 Seriously, I do hope you’re planning a heavyweight contest! Great report chaps, chalk up another job well done…and as ever thanks for sharing and putting out there. Cheers

    I guess the Gauls should have tried some flanking. No way to defeat a phalanx in the front assault.

    • @theministryofminiatures
      @theministryofminiatures  26 дней назад +2

      @@levsharus5899 maybe, but we are learning the game and the differences between armies, so was a good trial… I think the Greeks would have just wheeled round anyway and formed a wedge… maybe next time I will try the flanking, although the cavalry and chariots tried that and look what happened to them 😂😬🤷🏻‍♂️
      Hope you enjoyed it nonetheless 👍🏻

    An alternative interpretation to the Phalanx rule that we have used: treat the outcome "as" a draw if the difference is two or less. That is to say, the phalanx would only test if shaken or beaten by more than two. However, the winners were still winners, so get the plus one for winning the combat next round of combat. That would have helped the Gauls a bit.

    • @theministryofminiatures
      @theministryofminiatures  25 дней назад

      Thanks, might be worth looking at.. it’s only our second Hail Caesar battle and the first time with a phalanx so hopefully we can try something to help the gauls!
      Thanks for the suggestion 👍🏻
