I realise you made this video a few months ago, but I spent the last Saturday test riding the R9T, GS and GSA. Looking at the GSA first it felt way too intimidating, so tried the R9T first - nice but front dives a lot under braking and in fact harder to turn into corners, but probably fun for a Sunday afternoon ride.
The GS was very good, no diving due to the telelever front and very comfortable, but the screen was too small for me (just over 6ft). I wasn't even going to go on the GSA, but the dealer guys said I should. Basically the easiest bike to ride. I did "cheat" a bit by putting the seat in the low position, but still very comfortable. Screen a good size and works at motorway speeds. Actually found the GSA the easier bike to filter, even filtering very slowly. Plus if you have all the lights on cars see you and move in - I had a row of cars (on both sides) move over to let me filter down the middle of gridlocked traffic. I did it at walking pace with ease. It's the first big bike I have ever been on, and apart from a day refresher course the first day on a bike in 20 years. The only thing you have to be concerned about is parking and or moving it - basically anything where your feet are paddling it - best avoided. A complete swiss army knife of a bike. Yes expensive, but it does so much so well. I think if more people gave it a try they would be hooked. Great vid btw.

Hi Patrick! Thank you for your very complete comment. The stock suspension on the R9T is something that could be upgraded. I've heard that switching it Ohlins or the like is a game changer. It's on my to do list for sure. Otherwise, the 9t is terrific!! The GSA was a complete joy to ride. It is truly the swiss army knife of bikes! She will do anything and go anywhere! I rode one off road earlier this year at the Rawhyde Ranch. THE GSA inspires confidence for sure! It's a big bike but the size disappears once you start moving. My next bike will be a GSA for sure!! What a great machine!! I hope you get one too and I'm happy you started riding again after 20 years!! Well done!

The GSA is a great looking bike. I'm guessing the one you test ride had a quick shifter?

Hi DervMan. Yes, the GSA came equiped with the quick shifter. I really liked it. It took a few miles to get used to it. Once I did, it was excellent. It will even blip on the downshift. Makes you sound like a pro!!
