In case you're wondering why the air dry side was more flowy, it's because it retained more moisture. Ionic dryers like the Dyson dry hair from the inside out and you lose more moisture. I dry my curls with a space heater. It doesn't have ions, so it dries the hair from the outside in. This produces curl results similar to air drying but in less time.😊
I began my curly hair journey over a year ago and I am learning to embrace my natural hair texture. I am still learning and watching these videos is very educational & inspiring. My hair is 3A and even looser curls towards the bottom and 3B towards the crown. So I have a lot of those curls that hang & need help getting with the curl pattern(: Your hair is beautiful...air dry all the way!
Both sides are gorgeous but the air dried side looks softer and fluffier, which is always my desired look! Great video, you’ve inspired me to have a little more patience for better results!💋
Great video. I have been on my curl journey for 8 mths now and have only defused 2 times. I don't mind the time it takes to air dry and I like the way my curls look once they are dry. I seem to get frizz when I defuse. But honestly I like both sides of your hair.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💜
I always have three curls in the back that do that crazy, half straight-half curly thing and its aggravating lol. For those ones I just brush them or finger twirl them at the ends
Im a air dry girl that is my go to, but it doesn hurt to switch it up sometimes. Ive never tried a diffuser so i might just have to. Loved the video!!!
Amazing video I haven't used heat on my hair at all in 7 years and I was thinking of doing a wash and go and possibly using a blow dryer but after seeing this it looks so beautiful on both sides but that air-dried side is hidden different so I think I will just air dry I really appreciate the information great video!
I like the shape of the air dried side. A tiny bit flat on top and then expands fully towards the middle and bottom. I also liked that you said it’s softer. Always a pulse for me. I always have some stubborn curls. They are sooo rude and unruly.😂 I love my dyson hair dryer, I mainly use it to dry the roots of my hair because I usually wash my hair in the evening and I don’t like to go to bed with wet hair. I also use it to blow out my hair with the comb attachment but I don’t do that often, but it’s a winner.
I also have a couple of crazy curls on the side that doesn't behave as well as the rest of my curls! And regarding your video I do prefer the air dried side. When I use a defuser on my hair I get insane amount of shrinkage. Like A LOT!!! And when I air dry my hair I get a normal shrinkage.
Both are good. But like you mentioned, the option of speeding up the process is comforting. Minute differences. God bleess defusers and God bless you! 😍
I like both sides, I think it would depend on what I have planned for the next few days. If I know I have a busy week and have a lot to do I think I would like the diffused side more because it’s not as much volume and will last longer. But if I’m about to head out for the night and I want big hair ASAP I will go for the air dry
I also have the same curls that just are not as curly as my other hair. They make me mad 😂 i usually just clip them and it curls like the other ones. And i prefer the air dry side. I like elongated curls cause my shrinkage is crazy
I definitely have a couple little hair curls that don’t want to curl. It’s not even a damage thing cuz it’s been this way since big chop 😂 sometimes you just catch that wavy section
For my pieces that don’t want to act right I wet and put gel on it then smooth it around a straw, hold a couple of seconds, pull out the straw and have a ringlet back in the mix.
Both sides are poppin✊🏾I am team air dry,if their is time. My curls feel better. In a rush i will diffuse. Don't want to use to much heat, only use steam for a hairmask or deep condition.
Okay, so I NEED to get a micro fiber towel for real. I prefer air drying in the summer but I will also invest in a diffuser, but I'm out to get that towel right now. Thank you.
Can I go under the heated hooded dryer with oilin my wash n go? Like using the LOC method? I noticed naturals are using oils and creams for wash n gos Thanks❤
On my right side by ear the curls are so almost wavy while everything else is beautiful uniformed coils I looks heat damaged but I haven’t touched heat in forever. 🤷🏾♀️ The diffused side looks better over all, the shape is better and the definition is better.
I dont know what I'm doing wrong, but I hope you could do a video talking about how to get definition on the roots, mine is a mess, I hope you could read this and do a video about that or just help me, please
Diffused side seems to have more body but air dried side was a lil bit longer. So it's really complex cuz I have mid-lenght hair that reeaallyy shrinks so if I use a diffuser it would just shrink more again😭 but if i let it air dry then the body is gone😥 complicated
I like the air-dried side, curl definition is also better. On a totally different topic: Your use of the word #literally. Using the word, #literally 4 times in the first 6 minutes of your video, is over-kill. It is a superfluous word, using it once fine. Two times & over, becomes more annoying with each time you use it.

Rita M this makes a lot of sense! thanks for dropping all the knowledge 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I love the consistency & dedication. You seem to really enjoy learning about hair so that’s great! And it’s helpful for us. Much appreciation! ❤️
The diffused side looks fluffy with more curl definition. The side that was air dried looks longer with the curls looking elongated. 😍 Great video.
Okay I Love the AIR DRY SIDE!!! YES GLAD YOU WAITED!!! 😍

I really like the air dried side!
Was team Diffused until I saw second day hair. Air dry 👌🏾👌🏾beautiful
I always have three curls in the back that do that crazy, half straight-half curly thing and its aggravating lol. For those ones I just brush them or finger twirl them at the ends
I like the diffused side. It just looks like it has more life. Great experiment. I think I' m going to try it on my own hair.
I like the diffused side better. I never thought id say that. I've always liked air drying more
Update: On day 2 I like the air dried side more 😭
I bought a diffuser last year and haven't gotten around to using it just yet since you know, no where to go lol. Can't wait to try it
Love the volume on the diffuse side.
The air dried side is my favorite. I usually sir dry, but there are times I diffuse. Both are pretty.
I have been thinking about this for days. Thank you so much for sharing this is experiment.
Im a air dry girl that is my go to, but it doesn hurt to switch it up sometimes. Ive never tried a diffuser so i might just have to. Loved the video!!!
I love this video because its shows the different of drying your hair
Diffusing for the win!! I’m not a big fan of it personally but that volume is amazingggg. I may have to revisit

Both sides are beautiful!❤️ The defuser side is a little fuller, but either way, your curls are poppin!💜
I have a few loose curls in the back too
I love the defused side because of the volume...I have a Dyson but yet to use it
Both are good. But like you mentioned, the option of speeding up the process is comforting. Minute differences. God bleess defusers and God bless you! 😍
Yes I do, and your hair is beautiful. I like air dry
I prefer air drying I just feel it's healthier and also I get less frizz. Thanks for the video ! Good to know this !
hair goals!!
I prefer the diffused side. Both sides look great!
it’s both sides for me😍 but mostly air dried!
I like both sides, I think it would depend on what I have planned for the next few days. Both sites are great. Love the air dried site better. As you said, it comes down to the drying time. But I would choose air dry ☺️
I'm feeling the diffused side. Definitely going to buy one now
Me to ive never tried diffusing but after this video imma have to try lol
@@AllThingsBri I know rite! I'm new to the natural hair game trying to learn all I can
Jasmine Raullerson I think that’s the crazy part for me I’ve been natural but this year I’m learning how to take care of it better
Can you do a video on your brows?? They're rellllyyyy😍😍😍
Yaaay I'm here for the tips Gorgeous!!🥰😘👍🏾✔
I also have the crazyweird curly hair at the back
I also have the same curls that just are not as curly as my other hair. They make me mad 😂 i usually just clip them and it curls like the other ones. And i prefer the air dry side. I like elongated curls cause my shrinkage is crazy
The diffused side is my fave

Can you do a twist out or braid out?
Both sides are poppin✊🏾I am team air dry,if their is time. My curls feel better. In a rush i will diffuse. Don't want to use to much heat, only use steam for a hairmask or deep condition.
Our hair is very similar and I always have random wavy pieces mixed in my ringlets 😄
Okay, so I NEED to get a micro fiber towel for real. I prefer air drying in the summer but I will also invest in a diffuser, but I'm out to get that towel right now. Thank you.
Have your every tried "hover diffusing" instead of scrunching your hair with the diffuser??
Both sides look great. The diffused side seems to have more shine but im not sure if thats just due to the lighting 🤔
Here for the diffused side, I guess I should invest in one. 😭
Definitely diffused side!
I absolutely love the air dried side. The diffused side seem to have lost the shine. Looks a bit dry and stiff.
Can I go under the heated hooded dryer with oilin my wash n go? Like using the LOC method? I noticed naturals are using oils and creams for wash n gos Thanks❤
What did you do at night time to keep the curls
I like both sides very pretty 😀❤👑
Yesss I have some weird crazy hairs!! Lol!! I don’t diffuse much but I do sit under a dryer. My arm gets tired when diffusing 🤣🤣
I like the next day air dry. Both sides with volume but air-dry looks more healthy.
Wow I never knew 🤯 that about shrinkage and yes I have that same one curl that takes a long time to curl 😂
Cool video!! I actually air dry and THEN diffuse!! I feel like I get the best of both worlds that way!!Definition and volume..😊
How long do you air dry before diffusing?
WHIT probably to about 80%..it also cuts down on the time spent diffusing..😁
Me too..
YOU ARE NOT ALONE! my hair does the same thing in the same section. 🥴😩
On my right side by ear the curls are so almost wavy while everything else is beautiful uniformed coils I looks heat damaged but I haven’t touched heat in forever. 🤷🏾♀️ The diffused side looks better over all, the shape is better and the definition is better.
How long does it take to dry your hair with the Dyson?
I dont know what I'm doing wrong, but I hope you could do a video talking about how to get definition on the roots, mine is a mess, I hope you could read this and do a video about that or just help me, please
I am always team air dry. Both sides came out good.
I prefer the diffused side
There's a huge difference to me. Id notice if someone went outside like that tbh. But they both look fine
what curl pattern is this?
Yes I have some crazy curls to but mine be in the front 😂
i have crazy hairs as well but i just "trim" it
OMG! I have curls just like that through my head 😳
Air dried side 👍🏼💕
Diffused side seems to have more body but air dried side was a lil bit longer. So it's really complex cuz I have mid-lenght hair that reeaallyy shrinks so if I use a diffuser it would just shrink more again😭 but if i let it air dry then the body is gone😥 complicated
I like both sides, but I’m just too impatient to diffuse most of the time. 😒
First impression the diffused side looks like it has more volume, air dryer side looks more flat
Air dried side is fuller and bouncer. But they both look's Amazing. And I have the curls that don't cooperate either. Lol 😂😂😂
You are responsible for me spending $400 on that diffuser. It’s my secret. I can’t even admit that to anyone I actually know. But I love it though.
I always hair dry
Air Dried ❤
I never use a blow dryer or a diffuser on my hair I always air dry my hair
I also have some weird crazy hairs😭
team airdry
Air dried curls all day
Thanks for this video! May Jesus bless you 😊

Girl you’re not the only one with those weird crazy hairs🤦🏻♀️ they just don’t want the full head of hair to be great.....HATER! LOL
