    I had light purple hair that I used color fix hair stripper from Sally’s, and I rinsed it out and it TURNED STRAIGHT BLUE. I feel like this is the only method to get the blue out because I literally tried everything. (Tried vitamin c treatment, baking soda and shampoo, dawn dish soap)

    Does this work with L'oreal feiria smokey pastels? It ws supposed to be "saphire smoke' which looks silvery BUT came out a hideous dark blue. It is a permanent colour from what I can figure out online.

      +VanyleinxD I'm glad it worked! I always try this as a last resort though whenever the dyes are just not coming out, but its definitely softer than pure bleach. :)

    i don't really know if you'll ever see and or reply to this, but i used ion color brilliance aqua / sky blue (i did rainbow half and half, one side ombre purple to blue to green, the other pink to red to orange, also, the purple was a mix of one of the blues with red) and i was told this is the hardest blue dye to get out )): i want to do silver next, before school starts (august 31st) and so should i get 20developer, bleach powder, and head& shoulders shampoo, then do a 1:1 ratio? i've never done a bleach bath before, and i'm not quite sure if it'll work, but it can't hurt too much to try, right? i already have toner and everything, and my hair underneath my dye is platinum blonde

      Hi! this video is old, I have a new way to remove semi permanent colours which is way better for the hair, and it's true, the blues and turquoise/ greens are the worst to remove, but give this tutorial a try >> ruclips.net/video/eElCtWxDsRU/видео.html you might need to to it twice but it works wonders and removes all the colour.

      @Nunekhiia  8 лет назад +1

      +Steph Dye yeah definitely! just make sure to add a tiny more pigment than the desire color and you should be fine. ( other wise it'll end up more like a toner and you don't want that) good luck!

    A long time ago I dyed my hair mint with ion color brilliance, and then later dyed blue over it. The blur faded back to mint, and I tried a lot to get it out. I did the vitamin c washes and stain removers and even tried this method with a 30 developer. Nothing's working. Do you have any suggestions on what I should try next to get it out?

    • @Nunekhiia
      @Nunekhiia  9 лет назад +3

      +madison walter Well I have bad news for you, if you wanna go back to Blonde, it's gonna be very tricky, specially if you, like me, have been bleaching the hell out of your hair for a long time, I used to have this blue/turquoise color from Directions on my head, and wanted to switch to a pastel pink, I tried shampooing for a long time with head and shoulder and hot water, but nothing, it reached a point where it was just still mint, no matter want! so I knew I had to bleach bath, which I did in this video, but if you noticed, I did not reached blonde, I looks still stained, pastel but not blonde. So I put orange and red on top of it, the brand crazy color, it faded pretty much instantly and because I had mint under it. And red + green cancel each other, I ended up with a brownish faded color, horrible!
      And I really wanted pastel pink to be real pastel pink and not some weird brown, and didn't want it to be bright pink which would of worked just fine.
      So I had to choose between risking having my hair fall out or live with it, I ended up bleaching my hair one more time for like 40 mins or something. It all came out and I was back to the lightest blonde. But I risked it. I ended up being able to rock my pastel pink, but I had some problems when doing my roots later, my hair is the weakest it can be, so if I overlay bleach where I bleached the hell out of it to take the mint out, it breaks :S the last 2 times i bleached my roots, a lock of hair fell out. , one on top, that was the worst bit, because it's noticeable because my hair is straight, so it tends to look like anime hair xD. So i have to apply wax to keep it down, but that fixes it, and looks okay.
      the other lock of hair I don't even know where it came from, i guess from my underlayer somewhere because I don't seem to know where, i just know I lost it because It ended up in my hands in the shower.
      So i really would recommend you to not try bleaching it again, its a 50/50 thing, I knew that what I was doing was crazy and risky, but I was so into the pastel pink I did not care.
      I don't go for turquoise anymore or greens, because that was the only colour of all the colours I've had that stained my hair this way. Don't wanna end up bald! XD
      So if you just wanna go for a bright red on top, it should be fine! as long as its not the crazy colors one, that one didn't last at all. I recommend directions or any other brand. But if you are going for another pastel, the mint color might chance it slightly. you can try and get some colour remover, I hear it doesn't damage the hair like bleaching does, but it is expensive.

      @kewpie_dollz 9 лет назад +1

      +Nunekhiia Well, now I know never to go mint again! Lol! Thanks for your help! I'm thinking about going bright purple over the minty town and seeing what it does. Green and purple make brown so if that happens, I'll just have to deal. Good luck with your pastel pink!

    • @Nunekhiia
      @Nunekhiia  9 лет назад +1

      +madison walter as long as the purple is pigmented enough it should be fine! :)

      I know this is old, but after you’ve tried the bleach bath and it still didn’t work, you gotta go to Sally’s and get a hair color stripper. It won’t work on non faded blues but if you e faded it to the max and just have to get out the mint, the One ‘N Only color stripper works wonders. It’ll bring you back to yellow blonde then you can use a permanent dye over it!

  • @julieannlumbang

    Does this effect my natural hair? I have a blue dip dye , so if I go past the blue part will the natural part be effected ?

    • @Nunekhiia
      @Nunekhiia  9 лет назад

      Bow Ties Hello, yes it affects it because it has bleach. What you can do is wash your hair with head and shoulders shampoo and hot water and rub the hair so the color starts coming out. Whenever I want to lighten my hair colors without damage that's what I do. sometimes they do come out completely, it depends on the dye. This technique is only if the dye didn't come out with the shampoo. Good luck!
      If not! and you have money, you can get a color remover. Google it, it's a bit expensive but takes the color completely and doesn't affect the natural hair. :)

    i baught 40 volume bleach (i know very damaging but didn't realise) and was wanting to do this, how long would you suggest i leave it in without my hair falling out? xx

    • @Nunekhiia
      @Nunekhiia  9 лет назад

      freyastorm11 well the trick is to apply is as fast as you can with 40 vol, since it starts bleaching faster than any other developer. So I would suggest having the mix done and applying it with your hands all over as fast as you can ( like a cream I guess, don't waste it on using the brush. and make sure its all covered and then put a plastic bag, but do no leave it for longer than 15 mins. and check it every 5? or at least half way to see if maybe its donde already. Good luck! make sure to use plenty of shampoo, that'll help easy it a little bit.

    this more tactful,than the flat bleaching? 😊

    • @Nunekhiia
      @Nunekhiia  8 лет назад +1

      it's a bit softer than regular bleaching, that's why it's better than regular bleachin for removing a bit of the colour without the bleach working to fast.

    that's not strong haute dye.. I had to do 2 30-60 min bleach baths on faded burgundy brown, it looked like a nasty orange color when I started. I already did the shampoo and vitamin c stuff, I used coconut oil since it'll extra dye, I extra thoroughly washed my hair, it had already started to fade when I wanted it gone.

    Why can't you do pastels after this?

    • @Nunekhiia
      @Nunekhiia  8 лет назад +2

      +Sarah Sansom oh you can but depends! because even though it did remove most of it, some colour stayed, so for example if you wanted pastel pink, the outcome wouldnt have been the pretty pastel pink we think, but an odd looking pink. but it can be a colour just a bit stronger than pastel but without getting to the point of being 100% pigmented. So if pastel is 20% colour and 100% being all pigmented. Then I'd recommend depending on the leftover base to use a 40% up. :* to avoid getting weird colours.

    • @MollyMcBooter
      @MollyMcBooter 8 лет назад +1

      I was wondering that too, since her hair is pastel blue now anyways hahaha!
      Makes sense not to try pastel pink when hair is pastel blue though, since the red tones within the pink would just turn the blue like a muddy brown color most likely.
      Pastel purple/lavender would probably work though, also grays since they're blue based anyways.
