really? I cant call this a horror movie. Because some black eyes and two short scenes from a boy hitting his head to something. If thats allready called horror.. I was dissappointed honnestly.
I think the movie is a metaphor for how lost the youth are like wandering spirits yearning to be possessed by a soul that gives them a high while the souls are wandering spirits looking for a vessel to feel what it's like being alive again.

I want to see this movie soo bad, especially after looking at the vlogs from the directors, they all seemed very happy to have their movie be recognized, they seemed to have to put so much effort and their family’s reactions were very emotional. I really want to go support them so they can keep making movies!!!
I thought Talk to me was a brilliant film from beginning to end. The people who hate on this film probably just don’t truly understand the meaning of it. For a directorial debut from a group of RUclipsrs, they did an amazing job. The concept is truly unique and while the film isn’t as scary as people were claiming,it definitely knew how to keep the shock factor and intensity going. The film had a good handful of graphic and disturbing sequences that just leave you with nothing to say because it’s so much to take in. I loved this film and I wanted to keep my expectations low that way I didn’t walk out disappointed. It may have been predictable at moments, but at this point in our generation,we can pretty much guess what will happen in any given film. At the end of the day A24 is such a great production company, because they make such interesting concepts that are either Great or not for you. And if a film from their company is for you,it sticks with you for a long time. Truly think it’s one of the better films of this year and there’s a lot to love about it.
Very few horror films go into the psychological angle where the spirits mess with your very outlook of reality. Many go only with the poltergeist effect of "oh, the spirit is holding a door shut" or it has a physical form you can defeat. Like, no, these things exist in a completely different plane and can mess with your head. You think you're hitting it but it's really your friend you're hitting. That's how they would realistically mess people up. So, I applaud them for doing some justice to it in this film.
I recommend this movie 100%. I enjoyed it quite a bit, it was just straight up a fun watch. Great pacing and great performances, very .. stylish I guess is a word I would use. It's a step above things like Insidious and The Conjuring in terms of its maturity, as those films I consider to be "horror for kids" this felt more broad in its intended audience but its not particularly scary or disturbing, conceptually or in terms of its gore. Just a solid, fun film. Very strong directorial debut.

Yes! And I might add..most people who are saying they hate the movie watched the trailer first and you can’t EVER do that for a horror film.
"Brilliant film..." Sure, okay.
@@Sandman_Slim Brillian for me? Yes
Brilliant for you? From that response, guess not but your opinion is valid
It was disturbing what are you taking about.... especially what galena with Riley
