Elliot and Riverside 08 06 2018

A two some, fist part is a bad day at Elliot beach Arbroath 2nd is a better evening at Riverside Dundee not far from railway bridge. Sorry about the wind on this one but little chance of moving camera about there.

Another good video there Michael it definitely paid off moving from Elliott beach i find peeler crab to be the best bait for flounders in the river and estuaries but never caught many flatties from the beaches with them but excellent for the cod

Thank you , it hasn't been as good a season for trout for me not been out as much as i would like to this year....will sort that next year. I normally get quite a few trout around the river Tay i don't intentionally go for them just happen to catch them .

Nice one Mike... Lovely sea trout... But that weed catching on leader knots is a real pain.. And as u say makes fishing the outgoing really diffecult...worse in the summer too. Do u use circle hooks? That's about the only way I manage to return flatties they alway swallow normal hooks with me.. Tight lines!

Thanks Roger, I have only ever used circle hooks a couple of times i didn't take to them for some reason. Oh i made up a thing for unhooking out of an old wire boom works well . I'll put up a demo on one of my videos.

Michael Bird..... Great. I know some push through th Gill slits but not keen on that.

I know a lot use the through the gill method, i must admit i use myself but it never feels right no matter how careful you are i feel there will always be damage it is a very delicate part of the fish.
