So the issue im having is when I turn the handwheel the thread doesn't make a full circle around the bobbin to pull it through. It goes half way and then goes backwards

Ive done that but when i sew the top thread goes and doesnt pick up the bobbin thread to make stitches. It just goes uo and down and theres no stitches. Please help im frantic. Its new needles and the old needle did it too. Ive it in properly and all ready to go..

Its down and picked up the bobbin thread but when i put material in and put down the foot and start to sew the top thread goes in just a straight line. No stitches. Il take a wee pic for you tomorrow. .. thanks..

Some bobbins are flat and some are rounded. How do you know which one to purchase?

Look in your machine's manual (available online). But I think the rounded one are for certain Singer machines.

Doesn't work on my machine! Got a Brother...And oh brother, I'm going to throw it through the window soon. I'll never buy another of these! I sew and the bobbin thread is great knotted loops no matter what I do!
Any advice for a great easy machine for a beginner? (Not a Brother please).
