- The second single from Andy White and Tim Finn's album 'AT' is released on digital platforms and as a limited edition 7" single through Floating World Records.
Belfast-born, Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Andy and former Split Enz frontman and ex-Crowded House member Tim first collaborated as two-thirds of ALT with Liam Ó Maonlaí, of Dublin band the Hothouse Flowers.
A fan sent Andy an interview in which Liam talked about the experience, and Andy and Tim started writing (with Liam's blessing!) They recorded the album in Melbourne and Auckland, and John Leckie mixed it in Oxfordshire.
The video was directed by Andy and Sebastian White, and the special guest star is Sara Stewart. Album release is March 31.
Tim says,
"'How happy are we?' The king of Bhutan wants to know. His Buddhist Kingdom allows itself to self-examine. We in the West however have turned his Happiness Index into a trans-global competition. How sad to view an existential question in such a limited way, but the AT song is a joyous and belligerent revelation of these tragic-comic contradictions."
