I wouldn't use 'I had been writing when he came in' unless I wanted to say for how long: 'I had been writing for several hours when he came in.' If you just want to express that the action of him coming in took place during the action of you writing, then keep it to the Past Continuous: 'I was writing when he came in.'
That was the best tenses lesson I've ever got, thank You so much!!!! For the first time I understood how it really works. I did only the "All teneses-lesson" and got 20/25. You are the best! Thank you again!
You can use 'since' with both PP and PPC, but with two different ideas: 1. One action that started in the past and continues or has just stopped: PPC: I have been waiting here since 9:00. 2. Several actions that have already been completed: PP: I have written ten e-mails since 9:00.
I followed most of your videos and completed all the tenses.. It was a grear hepl for me to do the exercises. I am proud of you for being so generous to do something like this.
Yes, you can use this tense, but then ideally, you should also include a point in time and the length of time: If the bus doesn't come BY 10, I'll have been waiting for the bus FOR AN HOUR for no reason.
I've watched all your tenses videos, the revision and I've just done all the exercises. I don't even know how to thank you for your excellent work. You're AMAZING!

Hi Minno! After I watched each one of all the English Tenses vídeos, I watched the English Tenses Exercise vídeo and then I could noticed that I have solved many of my understanding problems about it.
The action of 'visiting' continued until the time that she had to return. Therefore: She had been visiting London for a few days ....'. If the action was complete, you could use Perfect Simple: She had visited the British Museum ...'.
Yes, it is a variation of the first conditional when you want to insist on the completion of the 'consequence' action. It is rare, and therefore not taught in the context of conditional sentences.

Hello Sanjib, Thank you for your confidence in my ability to answer grammar-related questions. This is indeed a tricky one because 'this week' is a common time frame for several tenses. Thank you for your reply. May I have a question? I have seen some sentences written like this:" She had had a bad time before she ..." Why does one sentence need two "had" together?
'had had' is the main verb 'have' conjugated in the Past Perfect tense: I had (ate) dinner. Then I went to bed. >> I had had (eaten) dinner before going to bed.

Mam,I have a doubt
Grammatically, only shall is used in the future forms of I and We. But at 2:51 the auxiliary used is will.
'shall' is an alternative to 'will' for 'I' and 'we'. 'will' is correct too, and also more common than 'shall'.
Thankyou Mam😊
