I stand by my earlier statement -- Erock, still sore from his years-earlier disciplinary writeup about the lottery ticket, filed an HR complaint against Opie -- Opie was approached by Sabean, and managed to cool things down -- Opie was crazy mad, and, though he couldn't call Erock out directly, keeps hinting around it ("I also felt offended that anyone could think I did it on purpose," "I also deserve an apology") -- bashing + bad blood follows forever after.
Well Anthony must have realized how much value Erock contributed because he now works for compound media. Anthony actually takes care of the people that were associated with their show while dopie never would.
Opie in the previous clip said he "takes full responsibility, and there are lots of people who say that and don't" and then literally pays Erock less than he promised because he had to "crunch some numbers". I wish Erock would have taken him to small claims court.
Small claims court would’ve given him nothing. Opine is not under any obligation to pay anything for giving out his number. Erock didn’t actually lose anything, so what would small claims do. 😂
@@dangerous8333 except for the fact that Opie verbally agreed to "settle" in this case. That's worth something for sure, especially with the preponderance of recorded evidence

It's hilarious how all the comments from 8+ years ago really loved Opie. Only the comments from now are the ones hating him. People forget Opie was untouchable during the show's timeline.

Sometimes I would like to see Erock quit. I feel like the show would change drastically for the worst.
I agree with this. Jim and Sam definitely said good things upon Erock's termination, felt SXM had mistreated him, and seemed to value him greatly.

@@theflanman1986he got fired from compound
as someone who never experienced this show live, I have absolutely no clue how this show survived despite Opie
💰🤐 that’s how
I feel like Anthony's silence during this entire clips says that he really hated this bit. Or that he just really hated Opie
Opie was never good. Let this be more proof.
Ok opie. You paid his weight and quarters. We get itttt
He paid him $600,000?
@@dwlang001 no, it was a couple billion

5K in quarters, for anyone who doesn’t wanna do math
He’s still an asshole, but that crash when Kenny comes in and drops them is really funny
You can change your number without getting a new phone ? It costs like nothing

Ok ok good one Op
I have no problem going to coinstar
Please tell me how you can hate Opie after listening to this.

Easily

Huh?
First off, one bit isn’t going to change my mind. Second, it was a stupid bit. Paying someone in coins, how original. Stupid shock jock stuff.
