    "I can't do anything over here except for Pal Talk." Jim talks with his mouth full. "I'm a ray of sunshine."
    Jill Nicolini( en.wikipedia.o...) and Anthony relationship ending due to cheating. "Fill it up, Jill." Opie reads the wikia about her.
    "A few layers of shit? Sounds like my sheet." Jim asks about Derek. Steve C is questioned.
    Song is finally played. "Now it doesn't matter."
    The origin of "Nicoleaky!" "People are all over it."
    Moving on to Maury Povich audio. Jim continues asking about Derek. Opie doesn't want to make the audience uncomfortable. Steve C is back to explain. People find this funny.
    "Nothing is more important than what goes out over the air!"
    More arguing and laughter. Opie eventually joins the argument.
    "What's wrong with the staff we got?"
    "No one listens to a show for the sweepers!"
    E-Rock is asked for his opinion. He is mocked for his "musical" voice.
    "It was only Derek's absence I care about."
    Derek finally appears. He is questioned.
    Claims that it will be fixed, but Jim isn't buying it. Ends with whispers.

    Steve would feel slighted get hurt very easily, but he is right when he tells Jimmy that he knows Jimmy thinks he's an idiot.
    Jimmy would put on that bullshit reserved/pragmatic tone whenever he felt like he needed to explain something to Steve. Like Jimmy was trying to dumb it down for him. It is so infuriating. Steve had plenty of faults, but so does everybody.

    Clips like this make me hate Jimmy. He shows up 5 mins before they go on the air, leaves and expects everything to fall in line without any understanding of the corporate bullshit the guys behind the scenes deal with. I’m sure Steve was getting harassed by 90 corporate stooges about getting production done, people he has to answer to. There other clips where they called out Jimmy for never reading emails or understanding how things work and he admitted to it. Being a producer in any form of media is a completely thankless job.

    Steve was a good guy and a good producer but he shouldn’t have been a people manager

    • @Ibrahim-vr8rm
      @Ibrahim-vr8rm 5 месяцев назад

      The people he is managing are straight up allowed to bully him. Nit pick at any tiny inconsequential mistake of his. Question his management choices and how he decides he should do his job.
      What is he meant to do in such a situation. The hosts egged it on so it was a free for all on him. And people clearly had motivations, it is clear that some of those guys wanted his job.

    • @jefflandreneau7027
      @jefflandreneau7027 28 дней назад

      @@Ibrahim-vr8rm exactly it really was a toxic shit environment. That's one thing I always hated about this show. Everyone truly hated each other. One thing about Howard's show (90s Howard) was that when people fought on air you still got the impression that everyone still liked each other off air. On O&A everyone was always at each other's throats and there were cliques so I can't imagine having to deal with that shit everyday

    • @Ibrahim-vr8rm
      @Ibrahim-vr8rm 28 дней назад +1

      @jefflandreneau7027 Yeah, no breaks. No stopping behind the scenes so he could actually run the office. The hosts would talk seriously about how he was a shitty manager when they neutered his ability to manage
      Jim would not just make gay jokes about him as a bit. Sometimes, he did it to avoid them talking about his proclivities. He would quickly direct the situation to Steve
      Everything you said bit them in the ass. They were delusional and didn't understand moderation. They portrayed themselves as Stern's contemporaries and rivals, but they got into radio when it was already dying, then were off the air for two year. It was impossible for them to compete because of that. Howard went in as a king, and they went in as deposed Dukes. Of course, he would get treated better and paid far more. Yet they were so bitter and delusional about it

    • @Ibrahim-vr8rm
      @Ibrahim-vr8rm 5 месяцев назад

      @sdvten Steve isn't good at arguing and he is on edge because they all rip him for everything. At the start he said the production request can come at anytime and they are on a quick deadline. Then he said the bosses requested production work for the merger to send to DC.
      They all work for the stations. He is stuck between trying to fulfill their on air requests and the actual XM management. Derek came in and cold him a liar for saying he requests Steve to remove him from the board then he goes on to repeat exactly what steve said.
      They all answer to xm management. If Derek doesn't get his production work done then he is at risk of losing his job when mangemnt monitors their work

    • @Ibrahim-vr8rm
      @Ibrahim-vr8rm 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@sdvtenThey are all stuck between the hosts and management. Derek said he requests being taken off the board as his production work piles up.
      Opie was a pretend boss and didn't actually have the pulse on the back office work.
      If they want a permanent on air board guy then they should hire Derek for that job. But Opie, Jimmy and anthony would be unable to get them to hire someone
      They don't have the power. So of course Steve and Derek will priories management's wants and needs of Opie, Anthony and Jimmy's needs.

    • @Ibrahim-vr8rm
      @Ibrahim-vr8rm 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@conradszhis reasoning made sense. Even Derek came on and agreed while saying he isn't on Steve's side. O, A and J cannot save their jobs. They are hired by XM directly and could never save anybody XM fired
      If the choice is between the board and production work they choose the production word. Management can fire them directly but O, A and J cannot
      They could request Derek to permanently be on the board and they know Management will day no , Derek has another job.
      So they should take a pay cut if they want a guy permanently on the board but they were to cheap to pump their money into the show
      Steve had to ride a thin line between what the hosts who cannot fire or hire them want, and what management who can fire and hire them wany

    It's time to bring back the Opstar ! Who cares if he got fired for a racist twitter rant ? His deeply educated insights and intricately detailed impressions made him a comedy genius of our modern era .
    Some people will bash Anthony for being a so called "Hack" , though , he never claimed or really tried being a funny guy .Ant's mostly criticized for his many failed attempts of dishing out the same great humor that Opes,Patrice,Norton ,Burr Etc would bring to the the table . These things happen , not everyone's a comedic genius (read all the hack jokes in the comments) and not everyone's a natural born leader (99% of you are beta) Anthony is a leader through and through . Now you may not like the Boss (see Trump) but you gotta respect the guy .
