Your point is well taken, but for a lot of us that takes away from the sport of fishing. For example, why sit in a tree stand when you can just send a drone out to locate that trophy Buck? That is not why we do what we do. It's just not the same as learning over the years as to which dock is most likely holding that Big fish, and it sure is rewarding when your right. And I mean no disrespect to you.
Big fish are relative. I live in North East PA and a 6 is big. Most guys will never catch a 7 (my biggest PA bass was 8.42 and was the only one over 7 1/2 I ever caught here) and I don’t think most lakes have any fish that big. You catch a lot more 6-7 lb fish if you fish lakes that you have given up fish that size in the past. We have a lot of small lakes and I use the Fishbrain App, it shows the top 3 fish ever registered from a lake. Most lakes don’t have any 6lb fish registered. The lake where I caught the 8 shows top 3 all over 7. Than fish baits that a big fish will eat and tackle that you can land one on.
I agree with you Randy for the most part. What's worked for me is Slowing Down a bait & Keeping It In the Strike Zone Longer . Large Bass don't excert a lot of energy to Chase Down a fast moving bait. Use common sense & catch Larger Bass.🤔
5lb. range bass on heavy lipless on grass lakes.............Big spinnerbait is a grind. .Jig 100%. .Topwater deadstick. .Giant worm weightless. Any small soft plstic flipped into a jungle of grass or wood If someone is asking.
Fishing 10 to 20 docks is the reason to have FFs. Why waste time fishing unproductive docks with little to no fish. FFS tells you where the fish are. You just need to figure out what lure to use to catch those fish..

Was killing them in se wi with jerk bait. Cast out wait 30 reel wait 20 reel wait ten . Reel boom bite. Worked from 12pm to 6.

Look at Fishbrain for where the biggest ones live. Big is relative, in PA 7 is a true giant!
