If you think THAT is bad, wait untill you realise that there are maps like a conquest version of mozdok where you literally drive for a bit out of spawn and you and the enemy players can already see each other. Or the hill on ash river near C that not only gives you vision into C and its flank but also on approaches to B and the spawn on A.
Yeah map design is one of the many reasons i prefer WoT, their maps are (mostly) very well thought out from a gameplay standpoint (also look real beautiful)

Sounds like stuff i tried for fun... Yes it works semi decent when bushes are there and you switched off the engine long enough ago to cool down the tank far enough to not pop up on thermals. (Was it on american desert c cap ? Then it might have been me xD) I also attempted to take out an m1 abrams with it on spaceport and almost succeded, sadly his teammate found me before i could light his engine for the third time.

My experience isn't the shell going through, I can understand that completely. My experience is: 500mm Pen shell > Hits side of Radkampwagen (Wheeled vehicle in the video) at flat 90* angle.. Bare with you it's got no side-armour worth noting... bounced.

What I hate most about fuel explosions that they're totally random. Mostly fuel tanks just act like extra armor except sometimes it's a one shot kill button.
You can solve the problem by playing the fv4005 all the time. No more shells going through enemies... only total annihilation by a huge amount of explosive. Then you find out they have active and spaced armor....

for aircraft it is as simple as the missile guidance system can be (it knows where it is at all times, but only on the enemy side or when an ally shoots at you)

This is why you always carry so form of chemical round. Kinetic Rounds will faze through light armor like hot butter and unless you hit something critical like crew or components you won’t do anything. Lightly armored vehicles already have too much of a disadvantage from CAS so it’s good to see at least someone going for them. If you ask me CAS is what’s digging the nail even further into the coffin for me.
Thats why in the jpz4-5 Its always good to carry 2-5 rounds of Hesh rather than leave it only to the apfs. Sometimes glue-ing a explosive to someone is far more effective than trying to pour holes all over their armor not really doing anything
Ahh yes, when I am fighting a t80, his fuel tanks and ammo racks work like internal ERA that absorbs all damage and grapnels. But whenever I am driving my own t80, anyone looking at me funny will pop my turret clean off. 🙃🙃🙃
@@symix. i only take the amount that fills the auto loader and nothing more. but thing is my ammo rack explodes just fine but enemy t80 ammo rack just blackens and disappears.
Oh this reminds me of something. I had a match on eastern europe and i flanked the city cap. Was behind a building and saw a turms. I was in T-80U with 3BM46. He was at around 400m away and slightly angled. I shot his lower plate and his driver was red, he was on fire and saw the shell go through the ammo carousel, not blowing up any ammo and damage the engine. He then shot my lower plate detonating my ammo instantly. I checked to see if he has that 20 mm internal plate and he didn't even have that.
After five years and maybe £400 poured into War Thunder, I quit it a month or two ago and haven't gone back. The 'straw that broke the camel's back', for me, was seeing APDS nerfed into something that sometimes bounces off the sides of BMPs, right after I'd done everything to develop mid/late tier British. A lot of my favourite tanks went from 'fun to play' to 'annoying to play' all at once.
Yeah this video is extremely inaccurate, he forgot the part where the BVM takes a round straight to the side of the tank doing absolutely no damage and exiting through the other side, can't forget the no spall either.

It'd mangle the crew regardless for sure. Plus, the inside of armoured vehicles are busy, I'm sure that even if you don't get directly hit by the round, a radio coming towards your nose at mach 3 would definitely ruin your day.
i remember my last game, when i was in a sherman and i got overpressured by an APHE shell that bounced off some random structural part on the back of my tank and went straight down through my tracks into the ground
There's this one time I got ammo racked on my King Tiger, that time I was only carrying 20, minus 12 after previous encounters, so only 8 left, then an EBR pened my driver, hit the ammo rack, not atomizing one shell, only turning it orange, then exploded. WTF!?
I mean part of this problem is that the player base has largely decided that a poorly aimed dart is a more effective course of action than dumping the dart and reloading a HESH or HEAT to get rid of thin skinned vehicles. BUT Gaijin could of solved this issue if they weren't so colossally stubborn and let players just change the loaded round in the chamber, maybe even make the switch faster than a standard reload.
We all know this only happens other way around. I don't know how many times I've seen my shell went through Russian charges, destroyed them and they didn't explode...
Got so bad I literally just began avoiding Russian tanks and only fighting when I didn’t have a choice. Not worth watching a ridiculous kill shot have zero effect. Then they one hit your Sherman or other supposedly not particularly sucky tank straight thru your frontal armor. Like every time. Every dam time.
My reason were from the other side: i bounced even from the lower front armor of any russian tanks, with the best apfsds round of leo2a5... this game being worse and worse. Also i bounced from t29/t34 heavy's lower front with better angle with my tiger 2... i was at lower height, so the angle for the armor penetration supposed to be higher. And no. I bounced it from less than 10m

Are you seriously mad about dying in your OP russian tanks that are immune to spall, have had their ammo set to almost never explode, have overperforming autoloaders, get 3BM60 that they can't use IRL because their autoloaders can't fit the ammo in them? While also having KA-50, KA-52, Mi-28NM, 2S38, BMP-2M, Pantsir, 2S6, MiG-29. Russia literally has the most modern EVERYTHING and you quit because you don't kill a Rad when you do a bad shot?

Kinda sad to see so many people quitting War Thunder, especially veterans. And I get it, War thunder has a lot of problems and it got to a point of no return where we just have to deal with it. I my self have taken a break for like a year and a half and the times I did play it I just ended up quitting the hole game after dying once in a match. I have played it since 2016 with over 5700 hours in it. And I still think from time to time about quitting because there is really no goal in it no more.

I quit a while ago do to very strange things, like a single .50cal round making a bomber explode as though it was made from nitro-glycerin or something. Then they added EAC or BE, both of which run insanely intrusively, so I'm not coming back. I'm not giving random devs lower-level access to my OS and hardware than I have to prove my sorry butt doesn't cheat.
This hasn’t exactly happened to me but I did shoot into the side of a comet at like 10m in my IS-2 and the shell ghosted and he killed me. That comet then rolled my team. This was upsetting.
The T55e1 is a good contender of making people rage. I use this thing still in 7.3 and it survives way more hits to the sides, and front than most armored tanks. It has the best forward and reverse speed and it so small i can hide in bs spots. The only issue i have is the crew sits a bit too high for no reason.

My two cents. A tank mud flap stoped a 88 shell From my tiger E 0:27 . Another one is the crew member took a shell to his face, but he was ok.
This happens to me too much, either every single short goea through the tank and not hit anything or the enemy's ammo and fuel is made out of titanium

WT can be weird but I have never had failed pens to any easily penable LFP.
I have seen HSTVL's, LAV-AD's and AGS' bounce more darts to the front than Abrams'

Are you seriously mad about dying in your OP russian tanks that are immune to spall, have had their ammo set to almost never explode, have overperforming autoloaders, get 3BM60 that they can't use IRL because their autoloaders can't fit the ammo in them?
While also having KA-50, KA-52, Mi-28NM, 2S38, BMP-2M, Pantsir, 2S6, MiG-29. Russia literally has the most modern EVERYTHING and you quit because you don't kill a Rad when you do a bad shot?

This recent economic change is not just a simple adjustment; Gaijin is gradually making it clear that if you don't pay for this game, you don't deserve to play it.

Kinda sad to see so many people quitting War Thunder, especially veterans. And I get it, War thunder has a lot of problems and it got to a point of no return where we just have to deal with it.
I my self have taken a break for like a year and a half and the times I did play it I just ended up quitting the hole game after dying once in a match. I have played it since 2016 with over 5700 hours in it. And I still think from time to time about quitting because there is really no goal in it no more.

I quit a while ago do to very strange things, like a single .50cal round making a bomber explode as though it was made from nitro-glycerin or something. Then they added EAC or BE, both of which run insanely intrusively, so I'm not coming back. I'm not giving random devs lower-level access to my OS and hardware than I have to prove my sorry butt doesn't cheat.

This hasn’t exactly happened to me but I did shoot into the side of a comet at like 10m in my IS-2 and the shell ghosted and he killed me. That comet then rolled my team. This was upsetting.

The most astounding thing about this video isnt the accuracy or the detail to the tanks, its the fact that it was made in goddamn FlipaClip. Bravo.
The T55e1 is a good contender of making people rage. I use this thing still in 7.3 and it survives way more hits to the sides, and front than most armored tanks. It has the best forward and reverse speed and it so small i can hide in bs spots. The only issue i have is the crew sits a bit too high for no reason.
