A few more tips. 1. If you are behind a hill, the binocular's viewing point is a bit higher than the gun sight, allowing you to peak without exposing your tank. Meanwhile using the 3rd person view allows you to see even more when you pair up with the free view button. Same applies to peaking over a corner. Turn your camera 45 degrees inward will allow you to corner peak. 2. SPAA aiming guide. Watch your SPAA replay after each game to see how you can improve your aim. 3. One possible reason to bring under-tiered vehicles is to bring something 5.0 br lower than your enemy (not the match br, but the enemy you are killing). This gets you godmode achievement and gives you 20k SL and can be increased with boosters.
2. I would rather get in a match and train. Start at low tier and get higher as soon as planes aren't that big of a problem anymore. 3. With some nations it's not even possible to bring a line up all on the same BR or it doesn't even matter. 6.3 Germany consists of two TDs, you either up or down tier these two TDs in an actual line up. 5.3 Brits is equally boring 2 mediocre AAs and 2 tanks. Or just take a look at the Swedish tree, that's all over the place. If you want to take more than 2 tanks it's almost impossible to have a line up on the same BR

We all needed this video when we first started warthunder. Now the more experienced players will know basically everything in this video, but for new players this is gold!
I'd like to share some of my most frequented tips on German tanks. 1.) ALWAYS utilise terrain and cover. Even side scraping your tank may save you from AP rounds, and as added plus, you survive longer! (except for top tier where german MBT's have mostly paper sides.) 2.) Remember your tank's strengths and weaknesses, and use them to your advantage. Take for example, the Panzer 4 G, the Panther and the Leopard 1(7.3). The Panzer 4 G is suited to brawling as it can easily juke a shot and force a bounce, combined with its decent firepower it can penetrate anything. But the Panther is more suited to longer range engagements as it's mediocre armour and less than ideal reverse speed may hinder it's capabilities in urban environments where it can be flanked easily compared to hiding hull down behind a hill. The Leopard 1 is a jack of all trades, master of none tank as it's one of the most mobile MBT's of the BR. It can easily reposition itself in a annoying spot where it can harrass the enemy team with its high penetrating APDS combined with good ballistics. It's tradeoffs is that it isn't as armoured as the Panther's and Tiger's and many new players don't notice that. 3.) In top tier, it's always a good idea to bring a SPAA (Gepard, Wiesel) that can either knock out tanks or scout. Helping your team reduce the numbers of the enemy or scouting them out is very useful, and you may also get the occasional helicopter kill! (This only applies for when you have run out of spawn points, please don't leave on us we need you 😭) 4.) For the love of god, don't spawn in a Low Tier Tank in top tier, unless you have a squadmate who is decent and can cover your ass. (This is self explainatory.) (Shadowpelt1)
Sorry but number 2 contains some of the worst takes i have ever read, Panzer 4 G is a well armored brawler and you should get close? Fucking excuse me?? The Panther has mediocre armor? Are you fucking insane??
If you have a hybrid power system like Ferdinand or Tiger P, you can rush in more than with a simple Tiger, because you can also very easily retreat. Also, using these tanks in arcade usually means that CAS bombing wont hurt you, because you can always just press S and get out of there faster than most other tanks.
Smoke shell tip; on urban maps you can hit high up on the nearby buildings. The smoke will mess with CAS, but if high enough, enemies on the ground are still visible. Another tip; don’t shoot at everything you see. Pick your shots. Doubly true for AA.
A tip that I have learned, don't panic move whenever in a SMALL vehicle if there is CAS up especially if you're in an open-top like the ASU-57. Either position yourself in a covered or obstructed area, if that is not possible sometimes just staying still will help more than trying to dodge a patrolling plane. Their vision is based on movement... sometimes. However, if you have already been spotted or have been netting kills REPOSITION. Some newer players will see a spot working then stay there leading to eventual flanking or CAS runs, don't ever stay in one place too long. Also if a plane is coming in to strafe you, try to drive towards the plane. This will, most of the time lead to them pulling off before they can complete a full run or will make them crash into the ground trying to get you. You might not survive but getting CAS down is always worth more in the long run.
Man the smoking yourself tip was so accurate..the amount of players I've seen smoke up AFTER I hit them and saw them, allowing me to just keep shooting at them while they blinded themselves is crazy...or the amount of teammates smoking up for a 10 sec repair, blinding himself AND me, making sure we cant take out threats is rage inducing..
I really like the shade you threw at repair times on Tip #17. Really runs in the face of those people who says "turn auto-repair off to save money", when the repair time is 16 days... Wow, amazing, I can play this vehicle in two matches per month, 24 matches per year. So efficient. Saving much money.
A tip Id like to add With tanks that have stabilizers in midtiers like the shermans, you can set it to move at CC 1 so that you can VERY reliably shoot on the move when pushing into an area without having to stop instead of jitter moving in or full speeding in. Best case scenario is if you also meet an enemy pushing in because you will always get the first shot on them
I agree about APCR being almost completely useless but in some case like facing Tiger 2H and Ferdinand while you’re playing T-44. It can be helpful to bring a few APCR that actually have much higher penetration than APHE to get gunner and driver out when encountering them from the front ( HasegawaKazumi )
A good tip for naval, if you know you cant penetrate the main belt of an enemy using SEP or APHE, use HE and target the bridge, funnels and secondary weaponry , thus crippling the enemy as they cant change steering direction if you hit the bridge, are slower if you hit the funnels, and cant suppress lighter vessels and CAS if you knock out the secondary weapons, plus you can easily start fires which slow down repair and eliminate crew. Ogaly_Bogaly
During test flights, you can practice dropping bombs from different angles of approach. You should practice in the same way as is usual in the game. You remember the return fire and fly as if you were being shot at. The replays after a game then show you where the bombs landed. I often hit tanks directly on the roof, for example, with a bomb and could then see what happened in the replay. Gaijin didn't make provisions for this case and so it happens that there is a graphic bug on a regular basis. Yesterday I hit a panther directly from above and the bomb stayed in the air while the panther drove on. But not so far that it wasn't destroyed by the blast (1000 lb)
These tips are really great for newer player who haven't played the game as much, but the ones that helped me the most were one about engagement positions, I often play Russia so gun depression is an issue I have, and the tip to just move to an adjacent hill is simple but true, and the one to use smoke grenades to help with stalemates was great too.
10:40 even better, when turning at high speed in a tracked vehicle, release W before starting the turn, it causes your tank to slide and pivot more then actually turn and helps maintain your speed while also increasing your turning speed. Does not work on all tanks, works best with lightweight tanks but even my maus seems to turn faster that way. It goes for slow speed to, when you spawn instead of holding A or W and A to turn left, hold W for a split second until your tank is rolling forwards, then let go of W and press A. This gives your tank momentum to swing through the turn instead of relying on only the engine power to turn it.
Note that sidescraping works best in lower br games, as chemical ammo and darts will gnaw through extremely angoed armor, also that since most MBT's have little to no sidearmor compared to their fronts so using your front to bait might work better at times, ideal scenario would be if you could use your turret or not get seen at all in the first place (Tankrider1241)
Insane tip: If you are playing a tank with a stabilizer always priority the Brake System and Suspension modifications, they are the most useful trust. Jokes aside if the stock grind is too painful just go for tier 1 APFSDS instead of Parts if you need to. Also the Engine modification is basically Transmission and Filters modifications in one. (Boltzxx)
Engine and filters give more hp to the engine lets say for example 40+40=80hp...these 80hp won't get to the drive wheels because power transmitting parts in the engine will swallow some of it....transmission give raw hp to the drive wheels without any loss on its way to the drive wheels therefore transmission is more important and more impactful.
One of the best tips i have for new players is to stop rushing and learn to spod a good position on the map, I see most people rush to another part of the map after capping a point but an experienced player could set up a choke point on the route that other players would take. Basically easy kills but it doesn't mean you are camping, and also might be boring a bit so yeah. But definitely its a good thing to slow down from time to time and just find a good place to ambush enemies since most tanks are really good and this or are made for this task like most low tier ifvs(E.G. bmp 1 since it doesn't have a stabliazer) and some tank destroyers that arent that good on the move:) in game nick is GalaxyZi
Do you mind if i add you? I'm trying to learn maps myself but i just dont know what is an easy way to do so. Like, okay sure replays.. But it always seems like people in replays just go random directions.
yep this is my playstyle. use the speed of a light tank or mbt to get to a spot, and instead of rushing i wait there for a bit. it usually results me a kill or 3
remember when japan was considered a bad nation etc. it learned it there, because the japanese tanks are just to flimsy to push in. Now in Germany BR 5.0 with Tigers etc. against Shermans and Tanks with stabilizers it is even more important to learn it. If you understand Tigers you can play everything in midtier i think :D
Until you reach Tiger E and constantly get uptiered to Cold-War-Era where M24 will constantly pop you one-shot by just strafing your frontal corner xD @@WrestlingNele
About shooting from binocylar - it's better to hold LMB and then doubleclick B. This way you will momentally return in binocular and perfectly see where your shell just felt
Just discovered this channel and I can't believe you have this little subs. You deserve more! Also I like your straight to the point video style. As a fairly new WT player your vid was quite helpfull Kokosz2004
For the new players, don’t try to rush the point with a light or fast moving tank. It may work sometimes, but you can get a lot more kills by flanking and finding a good spot to pick off targets. (Cognos1203)
4:52 what’s interesting about this is America’s 8.0 lineup, which is 5-6 ground vehicles strong. However, bringing more than 3 of them guarantees 100% full uptiers.
Pro Tip: To improve your win rate, don't just leave the match after only 1 death but try to respawn in other vehicles. Even if they aren't as good as your first spawn, your respawn might just be what your team needs to win the game! (NoXium)
Great video with good info 👍Definitely excited what more content you put out! Name: Cookiescool2 I came into this video thinking I wouldn't learn anything but now I feel dumb for not knowing?? That being said WarThunder's tutorial system and UI I think often prevents newer players from even taking the time to explore some of the settings and options they have beyond in-game tactics.
no sure i would agree on the leadership priority, i would take targeting, driving and maybe rangefinding (if you've trouble with distances) bc leadership is really expensive and even if maxed would only contribute 10% to reload time which is only really noticeable on tanks like kv-2, is-2 etc does the map ban in squad really work? that would be so awesome. i know that with the server collection it always uses the selection of the squad leader. i would agree with everything else though oh and i didn't now about auto jettison thx for that good video overall. to the point and well presented a sub well earned ign: B4mL33
leadership comes after reload and targeting, since reload allows you to keep the pressure on, targeting allows you to keep that pressure on the target, while leadership is compliment to those two rangefinding I find to barely contribute to accurate readings especially with early tanks, so I'd suggest to avoid it till later
@@CeriTsujimura yeah i rarely need it either but i'm playing the game for a few years now and can estimate distances well enough but maybe for new(ish) players that struggle with that it could be very useful i mentioned driving mostly bc it's cheap and especially if you have a stock tank every bit of mobility is good
@@SoneGurke rangefinders just give up past 1km, even with max crew it won't help until you get the tanks with the rangefinder modification prior to laser rangefinders at high tiers and driving does help with maintaining a better average speed, but mostly benefits faster vehicles, slower ones not that much since slower ones tend to play defensively and not offensively so mobility isn't all too important
@@CeriTsujimura there are a lot of new players that struggle with 500-800m even, hell last week i tought a guy lvl 30 that he HAS rangefinder😅. maybe the problems are that vehicles at lower br are quick to unlock and they switch a lot between vehicles so they don't get a feel for shell drop. you're right on the driving i usually prioritize it before leadership bc it's cheap and quickly maxed out
@@SoneGurke fair I guess, but if they're using a long barrel vehicle it takes very little adjustment to hit, hitting weak points is something else, I can understand short barrels though
If you're an IS-1 or 2 or object 244, your rear armor is better as the engine will rarely get set on fire for some reason, has a sloped upper rear plate and will bounce shots even if it shouldn't be possible.
another tip, if you die and you know where the enemy was, you can hold alt while its showing the enemy for the brief moment after you died, and drag the cursor over to the minimap and mark the location of them
7:27 in regards to smokes, do keep in mind that the amount of smoke you get from a smoke shell does also depend on the caliber of your gun. This means the smokes from howitzer tanks are massive in size, and can cover a large area quickly.
A very powerful tip is having one good squad member on voicechat, that is very VERY strong. Good teamwork can even demolish MVP's with ease, no tank can cover two angles at the exact same time and no matter how strong armour is, there is always a weakspot, case and point I went full speed and flew over a ramp in a Sherman II and killed a tiger from above, guy wasn't even angry and said "ns" in chat, absolute chad, which reminds me of the biggest advice I can give. Don't get angry and make excuses, analyse where you died and what you could do differently, it is right to learn, even from the enemy. We all get a bit salty now and then especially when there is competition involved but the guy that keeps cool and takes notes after being blown up is going places rather than making excuses to protect his ego.
In game nickname is flabySPARTAN Some tips you can use test drive and xray to test out how many shells is optimal for your tank to have or your willing to risk. Like if you know you have a weak spot with ammo behind it test how many shells you have to give up to not have ammo there if possible. Also learn enemy tank weak spots by remembering the names of tanks you struggle with and search it in the research menu top right and hit enter to see all, find the one you need click to go to it, right click it, preview, go to the armor protection analysis, change the threat to the nation, rank, vehicle, and ammo type, click save choice so you don't have to find your vehicle every time, and hit protection map it will paint the tank bright green were you can pen it from the angle you have the camera at helped me a ton starting out hope it helps someone else too.
Kinda connected to the ammo amount tip… the wiki will tell you how many rounds each “box” of ammo in the tank can hold and in what order they fill for example on some tanks it’s 18 before it starts with a new pile and on some it’s 22
The very first tip about the corners , that's new for me , even after years of War Thunder , I just manage to assault them by surprise but usually it gets tense and I get stuck in a situation where the oher guy either waits for me , or he might flank me! I also have a friend which needs help with Wt and I'll send him this video! Patriot_Alffy69
Here's another tip! for smoking out the enemy you can use the map, and the measurements to... well become an artillery cannon... and using the adjustable reticle thingy, you can lob those MFR's far!
To be fair the repairs should be always off. Even if you jump into the next game immediately you'll save a couple seconds worth of repair. You go to sleep and you save several hours etc.
Tips not mentioned: Use smoke more active and be creative. For example, some times you only have the choice of lesser evil. If a helicopter has spotted you and is attack, you can actually see that if you have thermal because you can see the missile being fired and judging if it is towards you or not, depending on the distance you might have enough time to pop smoke, side reserves and pop smoke again. Dodging the lock and missile. Similar if you have laser lock warning. You often get about 0,5 seconds pr warning before hit with that. So depending on situation. Popping smoke, reverse reaction. Keep in mind that your system does not know if the lase comes from a friendly or not and often people will troll lase tanks they know have this system. If you know you are in cover from enemies, then it is important to not pop smoke to expose your position. Lastly just a quick on gunning. You have 3 views in a tank. Gunner, commander in tank view and outside binoculars. Gunner is lowest. You see a enemy there, they can see you. Commander view is slightly above, but you might peek a bit over. However this view is good for quick scan of large area if you have commander thermal since it has 0x zoom as default (Pro tip, Swedish Leo2 has a telescope commander view like a submarine). Binos does not have additional vision (excluding the Panther 2 night vision version, that one has night vision on the bions only), but if you use the horizontal line in the optics and level that with the terrain. Enemies wont see your tank over the hill. You can also double check via popping into the gunner seat and see that you are only aiming at the ground.
Tbh I found out that you can use HE shots and lob them over areas you want the shrapnel to hit, for example, I sometimes willingly shoot the hood of tanks with HE so I can propel the shrapnel up to the gunner which I found sometimes penetrates better than advertised, you can even take out engines as well this way you need to know that the initial impact may not do that much but with the shrapnel, You can get a good hit and blow him up 😂
Happened to me too often, getting an HE to my turret's front and the shrapnel just popping through my hull's roof xD Also note that the shrapnel hits can mark a target - so at times it's worth it to pop a shot down range, slightly behind the enemy's cover. Like that you and your team knows what class that tank is and where EXACTLY it is even if you're unable to get a direct hit from your position
2 tips that i got is : 1. Whenever you play top tier russian and need depression over the hill, use your dozer to to change the ground that allow you to depress the gun 2. When you use anti air, try to bait the plane by firing 1 bullet every 4 seconds, the enemy will think that you're tank firing it's main gun but in reality, you are a gepard XD (i love doing this)
I would counter that for ships, the most important crew slots are Fire Prevention and Firefighting. Fires get into ship magazines to easily. After that, enemy torpedo detection ranges and then various leadership skills, then work on gunnery slots. I am not saying dump everything into these and get three bars worth. I am merely saying keep the above mentioned slots one "bar" higher than everything else (in the order described) and you'll be better off than just ramping up the ones I suggested. And my qualifications are: I am very effing good at Naval RB, a US Naval Submarine Vet & run an actual vessel IRL.
here’s a Tip from my WT experience: if you encounter a jumbo just shot at The mashinegun port of The Front part of The hull, but if he has bushes, just try to shoot at the commanders hatch, if you get a good shoot you’ll certainly destroy him (white_tiger53)
Generally in the M42 at 6.7 it’s just constant 50mm Me-262s and some soviet stuff. A way I manage to destroy them is when they’re turning and try and grab their attention by shooting even like 5km then when they’re close, just use HE rounds. This isn’t a very reliable strategy against some height levelled players though
As an experienced WT player I still find videos like this very helpful. Great work, everything nicely explained :) That pro tip with an engine smoke and thermals is my favourite, I use it very often and bait my enemies into a trap Nickname: Maverick_Fulcrum
I like to bait the planes when I'm on AA. I fire at nothing so they see me and think I'm engaging another target. Then when they come at me, I just light them up.
Ive gotta start helping teammates, ive noticed in a lot of war thunder videos people help each other out to get best results, but when i play, i dont ever help anyone else out, besides repairing them, i think im being selfish when playing, so i gotta learn better

so many good tips, in your vid and comments. If you are playing with the USA side in Realistic Ground, always pack the m22. it is good at getting the points and, if you sneaky, can pen ALOT of tier 5 tanks thus making you quite alot of SL. happy hunting!
Tip: If your tank is stabilised, you can more quickly elevate your gun by moving you gun up slowly and having the gun snap to where you are moving the gun. IGN: __Tiny__
if you have multiple cannons like maus, use the less effective one as a bait shot and the enemy will rush forwards. then hit em with your main gun for a easy kill.
when investing in crew skills, its better to allocate at least 1 point in everything. until you get to level 30 crew. wherein you could spend silver lions to upgrade qualification to expert, this gives +3 to all crew skills. Which is more cost effective in terms of xp investment. Leadership also costs a ton of xp so its not the best place to dump xp in if you have a small xp pool. also for tip 45. you can just use the laser rangefinder on the ground next to them. you can also use the laser rangefinder to scare top tier helis. they'll go for evasive maneuvers which could buy your team mates time to hide. just make sure you're in good cover. the last thing you want is for the heli to start unloading on you.
I still don't get why people range in on tanks directly, like I tend to pop it onto something near my target and go from that since a hill/rock/house/tree won't move
I honestly thought, most of those tips were just common sense or physics tbh. But still a nice compilation to help less experienced players (WadikJuunge)
The engine bait I won't lie I never thought about it and now I feel dumb because we always had someone popping out as fast as possible to hopefully occupy the enemy around the corner but it often costs a life if the enemy if quick on the trigger. Will Def use the engine bait lol thanks
If you play the tiger always hide your tracks, the armor between the top of the track and the bottom of the side armor has like 15 mm to it and can get wiped with hmgs
( StickyDeccal ) you can fake a plane with SPAA, just shoot 90 degree another direction, this will make the plane thinks you are shooting something else, then will try to target you, if you are good at shooting a plane which coming towards to you. its handy to consider.
7:02 this may seem stupid, but I do tank enemies for being honourable and giving a good fight. I feel like going for the gun is a cheap kill, whilst going for the tracks, driver or ammo gives the chance of a possibly FUN fight. Thats likely just me who thinks that though

I'd like to share some of my most frequented tips on German tanks.
1.) ALWAYS utilise terrain and cover. Even side scraping your tank may save you from AP rounds, and as added plus, you survive longer! (except for top tier where german MBT's have mostly paper sides.)
2.) Remember your tank's strengths and weaknesses, and use them to your advantage.
(This only applies for when you have run out of spawn points, please don't leave on us we need you 😭)
4.) For the love of god, don't spawn in a Low Tier Tank in top tier, unless you have a squadmate who is decent and can cover your ass. (This is self explainatory.)
(Shadowpelt1)
Sorry but number 2 contains some of the worst takes i have ever read, Panzer 4 G is a well armored brawler and you should get close? Fucking excuse me?? The Panther has mediocre armor? Are you fucking insane??
One question for you up which br do you think it's adequate to have in the lineup the Sd.Kfz.234/2. ? There is a huge gap withough scout tanks.
@@MalakianM2S i use it up to 5.7, it is very useful if you flank since it is very fast.
"maybe i don't want to be a whereaboo anymore"
5. Don’t blast Erika on full volume at least be able to hear the game
A tip Id like to add
With tanks that have stabilizers in midtiers like the shermans, you can set it to move at CC 1 so that you can VERY reliably shoot on the move when pushing into an area without having to stop instead of jitter moving in or full speeding in. Best case scenario is if you also meet an enemy pushing in because you will always get the first shot on them
Further tip, on the Jumbo's you can set it to CC2 to get even more speed for the stab! (Shermans with Stab typically cut off around 25 KM an hour.)
@@JustAnotherRandomPersonOnline fr fr. Shermans got the best stab at their tier.
I agree about APCR being almost completely useless but in some case like facing Tiger 2H and Ferdinand while you’re playing T-44. It can be helpful to bring a few APCR that actually have much higher penetration than APHE to get gunner and driver out when encountering them from the front
( HasegawaKazumi )
I would like to mention that another really helpful crew skill is repair speed. The reloads don't matter if your guns are broken
Naval? Never heard of it 😎
During test flights, you can practice dropping bombs from different angles of approach.
Excellent video and well done covering so many tips
The first tip I think it was will actually be super useful, thanks mate!
Wonghy
10:40 even better, when turning at high speed in a tracked vehicle, release W before starting the turn, it causes your tank to slide and pivot more then actually turn and helps maintain your speed while also increasing your turning speed. Does not work on all tanks, works best with lightweight tanks but even my maus seems to turn faster that way. It goes for slow speed to, when you spawn instead of holding A or W and A to turn left, hold W for a split second until your tank is rolling forwards, then let go of W and press A. This gives your tank momentum to swing through the turn instead of relying on only the engine power to turn it.
Imagine if they would implement track throwing when you do stuff like this
For range estimation you can also use cap points so if your good at converting or easier yet keep it in km because 1 km = 1000 in your gun sight.
And biggest tip of all, always equip the "Did you angle today?" sticker 👌🏼👌🏼
Note that sidescraping works best in lower br games, as chemical ammo and darts will gnaw through extremely angoed armor, also that since most MBT's have little to no sidearmor compared to their fronts so using your front to bait might work better at times, ideal scenario would be if you could use your turret or not get seen at all in the first place (Tankrider1241)
The same applies to IS-3. It doesnt bounce shells too often, but when it does its on the upper front plates during a direct forward push.
(Boltzxx)
Engine and filters give more hp to the engine lets say for example 40+40=80hp...these 80hp won't get to the drive wheels because power transmitting parts in the engine will swallow some of it....transmission give raw hp to the drive wheels without any loss on its way to the drive wheels therefore transmission is more important and more impactful.
quick and simple, thank you for not dragging the video out on unnecessary stuff, straight to the point lol
i like that

One thing I learned too was to set up commander firing, so if your gunner is knocked out, you can still shoot
‘The closer you get, the worse it becomes.’ And proceeds to say ‘if it works against you, get closer.’
But definitely its a good thing to slow down from time to time and just find a good place to ambush enemies since most tanks are really good and this or are made for this task like most low tier ifvs(E.G. bmp 1 since it doesn't have a stabliazer) and some tank destroyers that arent that good on the move:)
in game nick is GalaxyZi
Good addition.
Thank you so much for this video, It really helped me. Mainly that part, how to fire over the hills by using binoculars. THX
Just discovered this channel and I can't believe you have this little subs. You deserve more! Also I like your straight to the point video style. As a fairly new WT player your vid was quite helpfull
Kokosz2004
For the new players, don’t try to rush the point with a light or fast moving tank. It may work sometimes, but you can get a lot more kills by flanking and finding a good spot to pick off targets.
(Cognos1203)
Phly and Odd always do this. But I prefer sitting hull down and snipe enemy from a far.
No no. Allways rush caps.
thanks for tips
4:52 what’s interesting about this is America’s 8.0 lineup, which is 5-6 ground vehicles strong. However, bringing more than 3 of them guarantees 100% full uptiers.
Pro Tip: To improve your win rate, don't just leave the match after only 1 death but try to respawn in other vehicles. Even if they aren't as good as your first spawn, your respawn might just be what your team needs to win the game! (NoXium)
bullshit, half of team has left already, enemy team has lvl 47 with insane KD ratio as well :)
the difference between me spawning once and me spawning 3 times is the ammount of deaths on my part, and maybe an air kill with my spaa
Great video with good info 👍Definitely excited what more content you put out!

I came into this video thinking I wouldn't learn anything but now I feel dumb for not knowing?? That being said WarThunder's tutorial system and UI I think often prevents newer players from even taking the time to explore some of the settings and options they have beyond in-game tactics.
*GRASS IN TANK SIGHT*
no sure i would agree on the leadership priority, i would take targeting, driving and maybe rangefinding (if you've trouble with distances) bc leadership is really expensive and even if maxed would only contribute 10% to reload time which is only really noticeable on tanks like kv-2, is-2 etc
does the map ban in squad really work? that would be so awesome. i know that with the server collection it always uses the selection of the squad leader.
i would agree with everything else though
oh and i didn't now about auto jettison thx for that
good video overall. to the point and well presented a sub well earned
ign: B4mL33
leadership comes after reload and targeting, since reload allows you to keep the pressure on, targeting allows you to keep that pressure on the target, while leadership is compliment to those two
rangefinding I find to barely contribute to accurate readings especially with early tanks, so I'd suggest to avoid it till later
@@CeriTsujimura yeah i rarely need it either but i'm playing the game for a few years now and can estimate distances well enough but maybe for new(ish) players that struggle with that it could be very useful
i mentioned driving mostly bc it's cheap and especially if you have a stock tank every bit of mobility is good
@@SoneGurke rangefinders just give up past 1km, even with max crew it won't help until you get the tanks with the rangefinder modification prior to laser rangefinders at high tiers
and driving does help with maintaining a better average speed, but mostly benefits faster vehicles, slower ones not that much since slower ones tend to play defensively and not offensively so mobility isn't all too important
If you're an IS-1 or 2 or object 244, your rear armor is better as the engine will rarely get set on fire for some reason, has a sloped upper rear plate and will bounce shots even if it shouldn't be possible.
another tip, if you die and you know where the enemy was, you can hold alt while its showing the enemy for the brief moment after you died, and drag the cursor over to the minimap and mark the location of them
Thank you so much for some of these tips, lots of psychology stuff I really don't pay attention to, thank you man, definatly subbed now(:
2.8K hours and this vid was still very helpful, some good info on breaking stalemates is always nice!

Thanks for the video mate very helpful 🎉❤
thanks now i gotta perfect them and by knowing myself i will never never
As a player who will reach 100 soon, I still learned some stuff. Thank you!
Kinda connected to the ammo amount tip… the wiki will tell you how many rounds each “box” of ammo in the tank can hold and in what order they fill for example on some tanks it’s 18 before it starts with a new pile and on some it’s 22
I’m new but one thing that helps me a lot is waiting for ur team you can’t take them all and it’s good when ur with others.
Also another good tip with crew upgrade stamina it helps your pilot recover from g lock faster if i remember correctly
These are some awesome tips and it really helps. Thank you ❤
Tips not mentioned:
Use smoke more active and be creative.
You can also double check via popping into the gunner seat and see that you are only aiming at the ground.
these tips for war thuder actually helped me a lot for great CCCP Bias
Tbh I found out that you can use HE shots and lob them over areas you want the shrapnel to hit, for example, I sometimes willingly shoot the hood of tanks with HE so I can propel the shrapnel up to the gunner which I found sometimes penetrates better than advertised, you can even take out engines as well this way you need to know that the initial impact may not do that much but with the shrapnel, You can get a good hit and blow him up 😂
Happened to me too often, getting an HE to my turret's front and the shrapnel just popping through my hull's roof xD
Also note that the shrapnel hits can mark a target - so at times it's worth it to pop a shot down range, slightly behind the enemy's cover. Like that you and your team knows what class that tank is and where EXACTLY it is even if you're unable to get a direct hit from your position
2 tips that i got is :
1. Whenever you play top tier russian and need depression over the hill, use your dozer to to change the ground that allow you to depress the gun
2. When you use anti air, try to bait the plane by firing 1 bullet every 4 seconds, the enemy will think that you're tank firing it's main gun but in reality, you are a gepard XD (i love doing this)
Genuinely useful tips, a few things I didn't know, good job! Now I just need a friend to play with lol.
I like to draw planes in with a few shots then just lazer em as they get cocky
I would say that everyone need to understand to be as tactical as possible.
But in the end, the most importand Part is that everyone need to have fun
I would counter that for ships, the most important crew slots are Fire Prevention and Firefighting. Fires get into ship magazines to easily. After that, enemy torpedo detection ranges and then various leadership skills, then work on gunnery slots. I am not saying dump everything into these and get three bars worth. I am merely saying keep the above mentioned slots one "bar" higher than everything else (in the order described) and you'll be better off than just ramping up the ones I suggested. And my qualifications are: I am very effing good at Naval RB, a US Naval Submarine Vet & run an actual vessel IRL.
Dude!!! Honestly this info much better than other sources I saw before)))
Thanks for the tips ❤
Thanks for making this. it helped me a lot :)
here’s a Tip from my WT experience: if you encounter a jumbo just shot at The mashinegun port of The Front part of The hull, but if he has bushes, just try to shoot at the commanders hatch, if you get a good shoot you’ll certainly destroy him (white_tiger53)
I've been playing ground forces for the past 5 months and didn't know that I could take away the grass xD
So, you've got a new sub! :)
(El_Rolfo)
As an experienced WT player I still find videos like this very helpful. Great work, everything nicely explained :)
That pro tip with an engine smoke and thermals is my favourite, I use it very often and bait my enemies into a trap
Nickname: Maverick_Fulcrum
right!? i didn't know about the auto jettison. war thunder is terrible at communicating new ui and hotkey options
I like to bait the planes when I'm on AA. I fire at nothing so they see me and think I'm engaging another target. Then when they come at me, I just light them up.
5:05 ayo that's me in that panther A (helpful video btw)
Hmm, this video still taught me a lot of good thing, I sent this video to my friend because, he just started playing War Thunder.
(KnownHaruki)
These tips are super helpful, thanks man!
Glad I’m not the only one who keeps 3/4 Chem rounds and everything else in the best KE ammo
Most these tip vids are full of tips that *everyone* already knows. This vid though had some good esoteric ones that I wasn't aware of. Nice.
Ive gotta start helping teammates, ive noticed in a lot of war thunder videos people help each other out to get best results, but when i play, i dont ever help anyone else out, besides repairing them, i think im being selfish when playing, so i gotta learn better
I have been playing for so much with so many euros spent on this damn game and possibly didn't know half of them, thanks for all of this! My nickname is Jorkhin!
so many good tips, in your vid and comments. If you are playing with the USA side in Realistic Ground, always pack the m22. it is good at getting the points and, if you sneaky, can pen ALOT of tier 5 tanks thus making you quite alot of SL. happy hunting!
Tip:
If your tank is stabilised, you can more quickly elevate your gun by moving you gun up slowly and having the gun snap to where you are moving the gun.
But still a nice compilation to help less experienced players
(WadikJuunge)
The engine bait I won't lie I never thought about it and now I feel dumb because we always had someone popping out as fast as possible to hopefully occupy the enemy around the corner but it often costs a life if the enemy if quick on the trigger. Will Def use the engine bait lol thanks
Hi there ! Nice vidéo and tips ! Some i've already hot some of them but still appreciable ! (Laegthir in game !)

I'm still new here on the channel but I like your videos. I hope you keep uploading videos for a long time. (I came from Hungary.)
tinyEgg73 i probably wont win but thanks if i do :)
I am blessed in the ballistics category, i shoot 2-3 times with a cannon i didn't know at all before and i've already learnt it's drop
Take the 57mm Crusader into uptiers, its actually great, people will shoot you in the turret because its so little, and it will just bounce
At 1:45 how do you open range finder on the settings, I probably have 50 hours on the game and idk how to open range finder

Here's a tip try getting the best tank shell for your tank like armor-piercing shells (CaptianDanil)
Yooo i did not know some of these nice thanks man

7:02 this may seem stupid, but I do tank enemies for being honourable and giving a good fight. I feel like going for the gun is a cheap kill, whilst going for the tracks, driver or ammo gives the chance of a possibly FUN fight. Thats likely just me who thinks that though
