How to Fix “Word Could Not Create the Work File” Issue While Opening MS Word

I can't believe the first suggestion worked! I couldn't uncheck my "Preview Pane" but I was able to change it to "Details Pane" and it worked. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS WORKED! After 2 years of dealing with this very annoying bug that MS doesn't seem interested fixing. Thank you so much! - [from someone who usually avoids the use of exclamation marks!]
