The car is in the garage as we speak, because of the difficulty getting a brake booster, it took me a while to source the part - I'll keep you updated as I'm currently AUDI TTSless 🥲
The car's been in with my mechanics today - got some photos that I'll be sharing about this on Sunday 😁 You've got to follow the channel to see the updates 😉
I also bought a cheap 8j tts... Work done in the first two months: Cleaned intake manifold Cleaned valves Replaced head gasket (obvs) Injectors cleaned *Mine was 73k miles at 15 years old so i felt like it needed it New thermostat New PCV New cam follower New cam belt and water pump Plugs Coils Oil Brake fluid Cost me as much so far to fix/bullet-proof it as it did paying for it 😅 Can't wait for the mag ride to go! 😅
Sounds like you've got a lot of things covered and hopefully it will keep yours running well! Did you get the injectors, valves and intake cleaned because you had symptoms of excessive carbon build up, or for maintenance? Did you also get the jobs done youself @dh1380 or did you outsource it? Mines currently in the garage getting a large list of items sorted too! Let's hope the mag ride doesn't fail either of us :)
Dont replace the mag ride, just put some good coilovers like Bilstein b16 or AP handles way better and easy to blank out the mag ride with some resistors
Great first vid, will watch with interest 👍

@@jakubcynarski I’m looking forward to more episodes as I’m keen on getting a TT 😎
Awesome, do you know what variation of the TT you'd like to get?
@@jakubcynarskinot sure yet! The MK1 has classic looks but the MK2 has cruise control. 🤔
@@TheDervMan haha love the dilemma. Either way, I think the TT's represent great value for money and are good fun too!
have you figured out your brake booster, vacuum leak issue?

Both my mk1 and mk2 have 170k on its an Audi so not surprising
Nice, what variants have you got? The key is surely maintaining it and treating it with respect!
@ 2003 225 bam 2010 Audi 2.0 tfsi and 2010 ttrs but low miles. Yes regular services and a light right foot 👍
whats the corrosion like underneath, eg rear subframe, suspension and floor?

how did you do all that i have a 2008 at 74k miles. it was a gift

nose heavy feeeling while cornering in these cars is true nightmare, do whatever you want swaybars haldex controller anything..
I have noticed the tendency for understeer even on normal roads! Interested to know how it handles on track though 😎
I just paid 3k for brake line and rear suspension repairs on a mk3 so thats cheapo lol
157.000miles and still counting. As long you keep your maintenance on time and don’t abuse this engines last for ever.
100% agree. Although I say that with the plan of taking the car on track...
