I don’t know why but any time I see the streets of Seoul they seem oddly familiar like they give me nostalgia and I never stepped foot in Korea I have no idea what is it
Loving this Korean food series Mike! Really makes me want to travel to Korea when I get the chance. Thanks for highlighting all the food this country has to offer. Enjoy the rest of ur stay!!!
I am from Uijeongbu, and Odeng Sikdang is my fav. budaejjigae place! Jjigae in this place can be a little simpler than the newer places, but I love the straightforwardness of the stew and the kick of kimchi in their soup base. Love to see you visit my hometown and my to-go place!
Hey Mikey, Love your show and we went to Jollibee in Cerritos, California ! The chicken is out of this world and the Mango Peach Pie is Bomb! the Halo Halo was great too ! the burger was good! It was a great experience !! Jollibee is a keeper!! Thanks, Chef Curtis
Thanks Mikey for all these videos! I look forward to them every week and I also love your jokes and new plushy names!! 😊❤️ Thank you so much for making my week better!
I literally spit out my water when he said "i have a foot fetish especially with chicken and pig" i was like woah was NOT expecting to ever hear that. Ever 😂😂😂
Hey Mikey! I love your videos so much and as someone who struggles a lot with disordered eating your videos made me excited to eat again! thank you so much for posting all the time and I hope I can continue watching you eat delicious food all the time!
Hey Mike, this brings back a lot of memories. I was stationed at Red Cloud for 2 years. My wife and I would always go to Shinsegae Mall in Uijeongbu and have budae jjigae and go see a movie, then we would go to the ground floor and get waffles with cream! Love watching these videos!
06:04 i love how giddy Mikey gets with the prospect of great food lololo you can actually see the expectation build up!! Btw I've lived in Korea for 10 years and haven't tried cow tongue!! I'm going to look for one today! Thanks!
i'm glad to see you making good decisions and trying to stay safe. your job is definitely dangerous right now. wishing you continued good luck and safety! i love your videos so much, so many things in the world i had no idea existed, inspiring me so much to experience it for myself someday :)
Uijeongbo is quite far from the NK border though. Still connected to Seoul subway line. Haha! You got a long way to go and you can't see NK from there. The balls in the soup are potato dumplings. The potato starch gives them the chewy texture. Good to see you having good food in SK! By the way, that restaurant name translates to "fish cake house" because it was actually illegal to serve that stew in the 60s. It was a way to hide what they were actually serving. If you travel to Pyeongtaek, you can have Songtan Style buddae-jiggae, which was also started around the same time. It is meat based and not anchovy based broth. If you want to take a drive up to the NK border for some countryside food, I would be happy to show you sometime. There is a lot to explore outside the city. Cheers!
Its 7am in the morning and i NEED some budae-jjigae. Also, K-drama recommendation: Prison Playbook; Hospital Playlist. Hope you like it. Have a great day!

So happy to see another person taking the time to eat those pieces of meat others wouldn't even look at. I love chewing on a bone or joint to get that tasty goodness. Craving some pig's feet right now!
I was going to SK this year in late September until Corona said no 😭... Seeing all these videos of delicious food... I'm between jelaous, sad and hungry! Hopefully I can go in 2021. Mikey, I love your videos. They provide so much warmth for me. I also looove "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" 💜 PS... Keep the dad jokes coming 😂

Oh man, I wish my husband and I had gone to those restaurants when we were in Uijeongbu! If you ever go back we did have delicious duck bbq at a restaurant called Ori-Ma-Eul. Highly recommend.
