well mr. i got my exhaust on the same way you have yours but..., does your exhaust hang way down low in front of the rear axle im just curious, because i dont how much ground to muffler clearance?
No, I'd say it's all pretty flat, & out of the way. You mean right before the bend over the axle, it's too low? You might just need to adjust the hanger position. You want it as close to the body/frame as you can get while still maintaining a gap for torsion. Not much worry about it banging off shit like that, the main concern is keeping it high enough to leave room for the axle to come up, & keeping it off the ground. I know your car is lower than mine, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes.
@@crowvelle alot! i ended up putting air shocks on the back and jacked it up 50 lbs then im going to put coil over shocks on the front, i will say im happy with it, much louder and has that muscle car sound, glasspacks are cool but not on a muscle car!
i also ran the clamps that you had but i bought mine from napa, they actually have a o ring indented in them with 2 large bolts to wrap around and clamp they worked really well
@@ManthatsCool100 Sounds good man, I'm glad you got it all worked out. If you get the chance, I know we'd all love to see and/or hear a video of it. RUclips definitely needs more videos of cars like this.
The good thing about the exust pipes you bought is they we're mandrel bent which is better then hydraulic bent pipes if you look at the bends the pipe doesn't loose inner diameter what you have will flow a lot better
You got the joke ;) . Im replacing to the exact same system for my 71. Just uploaded a glasspack video. Will do a dingle chamber comparison when its installed.
Pretty nice, I need that on my 69 chevelle, I'm still using iron manifolds into stock pipes into glass packs with hacked off tail pipes, it actually sounds mean, but I know 2 1/2s and headers would be better .
Thank you, and I actually don't even have headers. I have considered getting them, but with everything still being stock, I don't think they're necessary. Not now, at least.
