I really think they should’ve rated this for the higher voltage let’s be real most people that are gonna run a truck this big are going to want to run that higher voltage honestly I think it would probably take it if you use the old saying of volt up gear down I would probably drop the pinion a couple of teeth or increase the spur gear and run the higher voltage
Foam Rubber Bodies will be far superior soon. Just give it time. That brittle plastic is designed to crack. Wait till that company puts them all out of business….😈😈😈
At first I was a little disappointed that it wasn't basher but after seeing it I'm actually impressed and very intrigued. May end up with one in the fleet. Absolutely amazing 👏
the way you had it on its side really showed how massive that thing is but 1200 thats too much cant wait to see all the stuff they come out with for it
I try to always show the good and the bad. Nothing in the hobby is perfectly flawless or doesn’t require extra work on our end to set it up right. Something like a loose bolt is very possible. Just fix it and move on. This truck has been amazing since that fix. Absolutely love driving it
Just want to say I got mine today and while I love it, I'm 99.999% sure I have the same slipper issue as you. Thankfully I had watched this video so when it started happening I immediately knew what it most likely was and didn't panic. I'll take it apart this weekend, tighten up the slipper, and hopefully be good to go. Thank you for another great video and for using this platform to share your experience as without it I would have been very confused as to what was going on and would have been pretty disappointed. It's still a little disappointing but I work on my rcs all the time so if that's all it is, no big deal. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Same thing just happened to me with the slipper. I think and hope at least. It only took about an hour of run time. Pretty frustrating but Im glad you made this video
Makes me want to get into crawling, has some decent speed for only being 4s, makes sense though, anything higher wouldn't make sense for a crawler. It would be cool if they made a roller version as well... I feel like it might attract a new crowd into the crawler scene.
@Jordan Stavely .....axial is cheap. I own several and they are junk, but they make good rollers. First thing I do when I buy an Axial is strip everything and build it the right way.
Wow it looks like a lot of fun for sure, especially if you had several out on a trail for a crawl. You’ll definitely have to do some side by side comparison with the SCX10 just to really see the size difference. Cool video and the slo mo shots looked sweet 👍🏼
@@viperracing2889 that’s really cool thanks. I tried finding this out before but I’ve never seen it explained that concise. The volumetric factor made it finally click
Will be cool to see this out and about. REALLY want to see one next to the good old ClawBack - still the largest RC RTR that I am aware of to date - not including the Raminator. The price tag on the SCX 6 is no easy step though... Still a cool rig! Love the thumb toggle on the remote - GREAT for content creation! And the brushless system is impressive! Very curious how "6th scale" hard body models like New Bright "toy" style bodies might fit the chassis.
Like any RTR, they are out together in mass quantities by people. Human error can always come into play. I haven’t seen any of the other have a problem. Mine just wasn’t tightened enough by whoever put it together. I didn’t think it’s a mass problem. But I wanted to show that there can be problems. My RC wasn’t “defective” it just need to be worked on. They are made to be able to be worked on. It wasn’t a broken part and it didn’t cost me any extra money.
They missed the mark, just like Traxxas has done 3 or 4 times now with their TRX line. Absolute must for good scale looks; HARD BODIES. Tamiya RC4WD King Kong all have super scale hard bodies. You’d think these guys would have figured it out, they don’t really listen, still driven by the bottom line only.
All you have to do it gut it to make it move properly. My wraith wasn’t any better. Pinion gear came loose first run. Had to disassemble the whole thing.
Just watched this vid and you did such a great job I subscribed! I suggest doing further vids on upgrades of aftermarket parts. Hopefully we'll be able to "build" this like fullsize. Now to watch another vid where it broke.
They should of put portals on. After traxxas brought out trx4 dominating with that extra clearance with portals axial got smart and now has portals on the scxiii
Hopefully I'm the only one, but with anything manually assembled...anything's possible. Just wanted to show that they don't make sure "influencers" are given ones that are better quality as many claim....especially on the LMT videos. We are just as susceptible to getting one that needs to be tightened up. Also just showing that I try not to hide things like this.
I wish they could provide an option without the radio system so we could use our own radios. For rock crawling I prefer to use a 4-channel stick radio.
Not many RCs come that way because it requires too many different types of inventory for shops to stock. For surface vehicles, its usually RtR, a kit, or a complete roller without any electronics.
One thing ive noticed is while crawling th weight of th jeep is too light and th motors may crawl nice ( brushless is best) but have a rubberband snappy speed controller with linear power instead of coded to replicate geared transmission
Rcs are back where they were in 90s price wise if you want latest and greatest we had a good run with arrmas being 500 and built well along with others
Will a 56mm x 113mm motor fit? Looks like there's not a lot of room to fit a longer motor (stock is 85mm I believe?) Would like to see how it runs on an Castle 2028-1100kv on 4s or 6s.
**Note** I was wrong in the video. It's only rated for 2s-3s lipo. My bad ***
@@thor_4017 It's fast but not crazy fast. I just think it can handle it, but the weight might put some strain on the motor at that power

Thanks Matt! Your videos on it are fantastic
This is going to be my next FPV platform. Take the body off and put some thin plywood, cameras, gimball, vtx, antennas, more lights. Ahhh can't wait.
You should try also steering wheel control, I saw someone making a Logitech into a transmitter, with Fpv total immersion

great review ! When it was stuck on the boulder i was like throw some monster truck tires on lol.
Git’r done!
Here's a comparison with a full-size counterpart, such as the TNT T-Rex Jeep JK (with 43 inch tires and a 121 inch stretched wheelbase).
Width: 86" / 14.88" = 5.78 scale
Length: 182" / 33.55" = 5.42 scale
Height: 81" / 14.55" = 5.57 scale
Wheelbase: 121" / 19.74" = 6.13 scale
Weight: 6000 lbs / 25 lbs = 6.21 scale
Tire height: 43.1" / 7.0" = 6.16 scale
Rim diameter: 20" / 3.2" = 6.25 scale
I’m curious how 6000lbs/25lbs=6.21 scale. Is there some factor I’m missing?
@@flyingiggies7458 It's a 3D object, so if the full-size Jeep is 6,000 lbs the 1:6.21-scale Jeep should be 6,000 / 6.21 / 6.21 / 6.21 = 25 lbs.
