Very nice landscape and trail you drive around there! I'm not so much into extreme crawling but into trail adventures. looks like this is a good RC car for that! greets from Austria, Mario
we started a scx6 club, lol all my friends got them or getting one, went on sale at christmas, $829, sweet price, upgrades are welcome, i did subscribe, smash that like button, too!!!
I just ordered one today! Can't wait to add some paint and personalize it a bit. Your landscape is beautiful and looks very similar to Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada where I live. Your videos are very informative and fun to watch Chris!
I sure appreciate the fact that you are totally honest with your review and actually point out the things that are lacking in the platform such as the servo, tires and foams... even though you are basically a HH 'employee'. LOL It's not just a glorified commercial where you are trying to sell us the thing. Man what a fabulous place to showcase this truck. Looking forward to what you have planned for it as well.
Glad you are one of the first to get your hands on this new truck! You have worked pretty hard on your other SCX6 and get a lot of experience with them, you're the right dude to check this new big baby.
Man if I had a grand to spend right now I'd be all over this thing. So awesome. Thanks for the review; successfully had me sobbing with rc longing. OMG 1/6 Bomber!! Yessir! Man you live in a beautiful place.
Man, this body is great idea, considering I'm more of a Toyota guy, not so much into the Jeep thing..... I want to find out how much this total body set will cost. I imagine the bumper mounts will have to be swapped out as well.
I've been watching your videos periodically for years... back to when you painted that large scale BMW sedan with every color available. You sir are a true artist!
You always make my day better ✌🏼best wishes to you and your family. Can’t believe it’s been 6 years already that you have made me a much better RC builder. Thank you so much for sharing ✌🏼brother 😊
Oooooo, a 1/6th Unimog would be nice to see, especially with the body roll and suspension articulation based on its weight, that body would look amazing!!
I wonder, because this thing looks absolutely awesome trailing a scaling rocks, what the impact would've been if this was the first 6th scale they released instead of the Jeep. The market was so flooded with Jeeps after the SCX-10 version. EVERYONE started doing it in EVERY scale. Most seem cool, but still played out. Your 2 door project came out amazing though. Extremely innovative and it was just fantastic to watch your build process. That being said... different body configurations now would definitely be cool, BUT... what if someone was crazy enough to make this platform a 6x6. THAT would be... idk (there are so many adjectives) Crazy? Bonkers? Epic?
Thank you for the kind words and I think you might be on to something there! The parts pile that makes up for one of these is so promising and versatile that it truly lends itself for some creativity.
Rich from Axial was saying last night that they came out with the Jeep variant first since they weren't sure how well the SCX6 was going to sell as a new market category and for the price. The Jeep brand evidently makes them a little more marketable
Really happy to see the JLU wasn't a one off and that Axial has continued the line. The Honcho body suits this nicely and that red color looks awesome. What would I like to see, the Bomber. I still have mine and still drive it more than my other trucks. It's always been a favorite despite being around for so long. It puts the biggest smile on my face and I love the driving experience I get from it. Curious to see what you'll do with this rig as it seems pretty feature packed and since you've modified 2 platforms already. Gorgeous place to go crawling, appreciate your content as always!
Axial must have been in nirvana when they saw this video. Great review, awesome driving and video. All done with that stunning backdrop. You're always at the top for production values on your videos but this is standout even for Hemistorm. Dam dude.
never dropped 1100 off a cliff, but I did Send the Mean Green Baja off the top of the dunes at Silver Lake at around 45 mph and flew it to the bottom, with a clean land. Is that about the same thing? lol Man I miss my bajas.
Axial should definitely expand on the sxc6 platform. Absolutely a Capra and wraith. I'm not a jeep fan so I love this Honcho. Dare I say , a revision of the yeti!
I watched your video first and was very impressed with this rig. Was a little surprised by how quiet it is. Looking forward to see how you make this one into another masterpiece.
Man know I have to get one, my first crawler was the 1/10 scale crawler and I still love it. Thank you for the video 🏁🏁🏁🏁👍👍. Lunch break is over have to finish video after work 😫.
WOW!!! Very beautiful place! Awesome vid mi big bro 👍 💯 I really wold luv to see a 1980's Jeep Wagoneer!!! I think that it would be a huge seller! Awesome vid as always mi big bro 👍👊🤙💯
Saw this bad boy in person for the 1st time today & man it looks amazing! Gonna break down & buy it one of these days! I’m a Toyota fan & id love to see them make an FJ Cruiser body for it! Cheers from Wisconsin, USA 🇺🇸 🍻
It seems noisy/sounds rough, but since you didn’t mention that is it ca the same as your jeeps? (My 1/10 honcho is noisier than my others… but also used more, and I’m now maybe sensitive). Great, inspiring vid!
Truck looks awesome but man what a beautiful area you live in! I don’t think I have the appropriate terrain for an scx6 but if I did I would be all over the Honcho.
Outstanding overview of the new SCX6. Im thinking i may have to add 1 to the collection. I currently have a fully built 8s on portal axles scx6 and a stockish scx6. By far my favorite rigs now.
Great video, stunning location, i could have so much fun running my Modified Texan on that location re bodies a nice Ford F-150 would look good....keep up the great content chris
@@hemistormrc more bomber/ryft style. but ya. See a few ryfts with an IFS adapted to the and they kick ass. Think some are using and Arrma setup from a Mohave or similar.
Looks great! I have the jeep and your giving me the bug watching you crawl in that beautiful location! Wow 👌 Having the jeep version tho i dont think i could really justify another 6th scale for those specific differences... And as you mention the 1/6 trucks are just about unstoppable machines!
Great video as usual Chris, the honcho looks awesome and I'm leaning towards buying one @ $1700 in Australia. I would love to see you turn it into a 6×6 recovery rescue rig. Keep up the great work and thanks for your time you put into the hobby. Sean.
Awesome video as always! Glad I waited to get an Scx6, definitely will be ordering one of these. The outdoor space you have at you disposal is beyond amazing! How was the trek back up out of there? Thanks for sharing this !
Very detailed review, Chris. You covered it all, and still jealous of your larger workshop! Your outdoor space is spectacular too.
I cant wait to see what crazy mods he does to this platform..."CHOPPED" lol
The views while on the trail were absolutely amazing! Great stuff Chris!
Thank you so much for this detailed video! I'm saving up money to buy one myself😊👍
Very nice landscape and trail you drive around there! I'm not so much into extreme crawling but into trail adventures. looks like this is a good RC car for that! greets from Austria, Mario
I really like this, the Honcho body just seems to suit this size of truck so well.
we started a scx6 club, lol all my friends got them or getting one, went on sale at christmas, $829, sweet price, upgrades are welcome, i did subscribe, smash that like button, too!!!
Thanks
Very kind of you! 😃🙌🏼
Thanks!
I just ordered one today! Can't wait to add some paint and personalize it a bit. Your landscape is beautiful and looks very similar to Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada where I live. Your videos are very informative and fun to watch Chris!
Needs an extension for the lighting cables so it doesnt disconnect when you open/lift the body
They aren't too bad actually, and it is only a single plug.
There are always some things to improve as no RTR is ever perfect, best to be honest about it. Thank you so much for watching, Ryan!
Glad you are one of the first to get your hands on this new truck! You have worked pretty hard on your other SCX6 and get a lot of experience with them, you're the right dude to check this new big baby.

Awesome location buddy - but you strictly have to avoid a rollover there !!! 😅
Man, this body is great idea, considering I'm more of a Toyota guy, not so much into the Jeep thing..... I want to find out how much this total body set will cost. I imagine the bumper mounts will have to be swapped out as well.
I definitely tackle the same terrain with a 1:10 as you tackle with that scx6.
I can guarantee you that there are a few parts you'd have a hard time or lose the truck. Thanks for watching!
Amazing video..
Id live to see a full pickup bed version for sale.
Perhaps you will fabricate one?
I've been watching your videos periodically for years... back to when you painted that large scale BMW sedan with every color available. You sir are a true artist!
Wow, Thanks for taking me along to the Beach!
You always have such Great Videos I just wish they would come up in my feed like they're supposed to.
What a beautiful place! I also agree with you on scx6 fitting the chassis better than scx10. Great review & trail run
that trans gear noise sounds like the transmission that i built for my new bright scx6
It’s pretty quiet compared to my SWB Jeep. Going to inspect that one!
RC car mod for Skyrim looks sick.
I'm holding out for the Bomber but this Honcho is tempting to have to help wait.
It’s a really stout vehicle, sure invites some more daring driving. 👌🏼😁
You always make my day better ✌🏼best wishes to you and your family. Can’t believe it’s been 6 years already that you have made me a much better RC builder. Thank you so much for sharing ✌🏼brother 😊
A 1/6th scale Capra would be insane.
Good to see a video of you out on the trails again!
Glad you have your Health back!
By far the best review and trail run of the SCX6 Honcho I've seen to-date, absolutely fantastic scenery to boot!!!! ❤💯
Very happy to read that, Donnie! I sure was under quite a bit of time stress to get things done.
Oooooo, a 1/6th Unimog would be nice to see, especially with the body roll and suspension articulation based on its weight, that body would look amazing!!
That would be cool! Would be a nice one to paint as well.
Did a awesome job, thank you for sharing your time
Your viewership makes it worth it, thank you!

You’re so lucky to have a beautiful backyard to play in. I thought hear in Hawaii had some nice places but nothing like you have🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
I sure feel fortunate! I hope to visit Hawaii some day, I've seen some amazing spots.
Love the new Honcho and the terrain in your area...beautiful
Thanks, it is a great place to test trucks!
I think the obvious choice is for Axial to release a 1:6 scale version of their '67 Chevy pickup body .
Or even just the cab with the Honcho cage!
Axial must have been in nirvana when they saw this video. Great review, awesome driving and video. All done with that stunning backdrop. You're always at the top for production values on your videos but this is standout even for Hemistorm. Dam dude.
The ending view... beautiful
That out door seen is awesome ! Please do more out door events !
Will do, Mark!
Killed it! love running footage.
Beautiful scenery!!!
Thanks Rich!
loved the fjord driving, thanks for sharing
I'm not a jeep fan and this is gorgeous, I definitely need one of these

Man those were the days or what? BRAAP BRAAAAAP!
1/6 scale Bomber and Wraith would be great. Rock racing would be awesome to watch.
I agree that there is room in that market, despite Losi having some good options out. 1/6 Score Truck by Axial too?
@@hemistormrc I miss the Wraith Rock Racing videos, I could watch that all day.
Absolutely beautiful country you live in! Great video.
Can’t get enough of this mega rc. Man!, I would love to see it in that water towards the end. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video and it was awesome to see the long running footage along that trail!
Cool to hear, I will do this more often!

Oh nice, with IFS! Thank you for your feedback and viewership!
I think a 6th scale Wraith would be amazing! I wouldn't be upset with the 60's Bronco either. :)
Me neither, both would be welcome!
I watched your video first and was very impressed with this rig. Was a little surprised by how quiet it is. Looking forward to see how you make this one into another masterpiece.
Cheers Mike, it is insanely quiet compared to the others I have.
I like the honcho but I'd sure like a 6th scale high country Chevy Cheyenne just bought one from traxxas last week
Let's hope Proline reads your comment! ;)
Mooie video Chris. Je hebt bijna 100 duizend abonnees, gefeliciteerd alvast! 👊🏽🚗💨💨
Dankjewel! Ik kan het bijna niet geloven, het voelt echt bijzonder!
Awesome review and running! Thank you very much! Your scenery is incredibly breathtaking! WOW
SCX6 Gladiator and Bomber or a 6x6 would be awesome.
Great review, and what a gorgeous place to do a review. I think I spent more time admiring the scenery than the truck.
I will do these type of videos more often, as there is plenty to show!
1/6th scale deadbolt would look cool! I pre ordered the red honcho today.
Have fun with it, Michael!
If you ever get a chance to visit the Columbia River Gorge, it is the only place I found comparable to your fjords. I hope someday to visit Norway
Sounds like I need to check that out!
Your backyard is amazing my friend... killer place in the world. Honcho body looks cool.
Cheers mate 👍
Excellent review and a spectacular place to play with not so tiny trucks!
It is amazing to be able to drive trucks here!
look like that giant crawler so easy to trail on that rock, awesome scx6 👍👍
Man know I have to get one, my first crawler was the 1/10 scale crawler and I still love it. Thank you for the video 🏁🏁🏁🏁👍👍. Lunch break is over have to finish video after work 😫.
Bronco would be freaking slick. This one I might buy. I just know I’ll spend to much on vitavon upgrades
Bronco would be fantastic indeed! Let’s hope for more versions soon.
The world has enough rc Broncos!
Would love to see something original. Maybe an old pickup or something
Nice review and a great truck, enjoy it!Can't wait of what you gonna end up doing with it.
You and me both!
Awesome RC and crawling, great review
I have the JLU and it makes me not want to take anything else out. Love the 1/6th scale, I hope to add this to my 1/6th Jeep in the spring.
Im picking up my first scx6 tomorrow cant wait!. Id love to see a 1/6th scale 4Runner body for this truck
I'm surprised it took this long. I thought for sure when yeti xl was released a bomber would be next. I'm liking the honcho.
Well they did get it right this time around, as the Yeti XL did have a lot of issues. Always nice to see you stop by!
WOW!!! Very beautiful place! Awesome vid mi big bro 👍 💯
I really wold luv to see a 1980's Jeep Wagoneer!!!
I think that it would be a huge seller!
Awesome vid as always mi big bro 👍👊🤙💯
I'm waiting for a 1/6 "Early Bronco"... meantime I'm rolling my 1/10 Wraith on SCX6 Wheels with 2.9 Super Swampers and it's a bunch of fun.
That would be a nice option for sure!
I was listening to your video in the background while I was working on my Phoenix until you said snack holder and I had to back the video up. Lol
Hahaha!
Awesome review man.
Very detailed.
Awesome run
I love the area.
Beautiful.
Very much like where I live.
But not.....
Haha.
Awesome video man.
Cheers Jesse! Glad you enjoyed it!
Not sure we’re you live ? But you are a blessed man!! Having that view out your door.. good on you!!
Cool truck
I love it and as far as your question of something else 1/6 scale I think a bomber or capri would be cool
LOVE IT!!! Thanks for the amazing review and run video. Yes! we all want more SCX6 options, Bronco , Capra, Oh Wait! BOMBER!!! Thanks Chris
Capra would
Be INSANE
YES. With wider axles. Portals. Dig.
Where you live is an amazing place! Great review on an awesome truck. 👌
Saw this bad boy in person for the 1st time today & man it looks amazing! Gonna break down & buy it one of these days! I’m a Toyota fan & id love to see them make an FJ Cruiser body for it! Cheers from Wisconsin, USA 🇺🇸 🍻
Definitely love the 2nd gen tundra vibes ❤
Great review and awesome truck. Axial should def make 1/6 early ford bronco!
That would be cool!
I can't wait to see what you do with the paint to make it your own.
Amazing truck great background
Thanks 👍
Beautiful area
Great review! Hmmmmm….another great rig added to the needs vs wants budget flowchart….
Hahaha, that made me laugh, "flowchart" Thank you for stopping by!
I saw a Yeti XL irl the other day and I realized it was the first Axial 1/6th scale vehicle.
Doll!?! Really? It's Action Figure!
I still have my Yeti XL, and my XXL!
It seems noisy/sounds rough, but since you didn’t mention that is it ca the same as your jeeps? (My 1/10 honcho is noisier than my others… but also used more, and I’m now maybe sensitive). Great, inspiring vid!
It is actually a lot quieter than my Jeep, almost unnervingly so!
Nice video! Makes me really miss Norway. My wife and I joke that were going to retire and live in Balestrand.
Truck looks awesome but man what a beautiful area you live in!
I don’t think I have the appropriate terrain for an scx6 but if I did I would be all over the Honcho.
I'd be all over a 1/6th scale early bronco or a Capra. & yes very well detailed review for sure gonna have to get one now.
Have fun, Ryan! Thank you for watching.
Thank you I will!
The gnarliest nature guy I know with the commentary 😂
Hahaha! I do love being outdoors.
A 1/6 Capra... would be unstoppable.
It sure would. I want a 1/6 Ryft too though!
Outstanding overview of the new SCX6. Im thinking i may have to add 1 to the collection. I currently have a fully built 8s on portal axles scx6 and a stockish scx6. By far my favorite rigs now.
I’m curious to see if the scx6 honcho front bumper will fit on the scx6 jeep
Unfortunately it wont as it sits a fair bit higher from the frame rails. Thank you for watching!
Great video, stunning location, i could have so much fun running my Modified Texan on that location re bodies a nice Ford F-150 would look good....keep up the great content chris
Awesome video excellent review and detailed awesome run definitely a monster rig.

Unimog or 6x6 , maybe a hummer. Looks beautiful!

The Gladiator is huge and so different to drive!
