Stonks indeed.
It’s even better, you could just keep buying 82 Silver lances+ until you run out of room in your convoy or have no more renown to spend and sell them all and it will just tank the economy even further.
Also, you can purchase each weapon about 10 times over to hold close to 1,000 of them to cut down on time. Giving all the seeds gives you 4,950 renown each time, so the turnover is actually close to 5,000.
Even though the ratio is 20:1 gold to renown for the 3 star seeds I think it’s worth it assuming you’re farming renown. It saves time and you don’t need to be efficient with an infinite resource.(gold)
If you're grinding for renown, buy 6 stacks of silver lance/bow+ per trip, then buy out all the seeds after selling. About 15k renown per trip with a small profit in gold as well.
You can still make the gold gain more efficient. You don't have to stop at 82 or 88 or 94 or 99 of one item. You can actually continue purchasing the same efficient item quickly several times and then make a wad of cash with only one run. The items form a new stack with the excess after filling one stack of 99. There's a limit, but the limit is pretty crazy high in the number of stacks you can hold on to. The main time consuming piece is getting the seeds and doing trips to convert to renown.
Yes, you can do it until you have about 990 of that item in your inventory. I just farm Silver Bow+ and Silver Lance+. After 3-4 trips, I am good on money for the game pretty much.
I personally find buying all the seeds is better for my sanity haha. Yeah it takes more gold, but you save so much time. The 300 seeds are 1500 renown for 30K gold. The 1 and 2 star seeds are better yes (giving 500 renown for 5000 gold and 1000 renown for 10K gold) but the time you save is worth it in my opinion.

That part of the guide is more for getting the Renown up to 65600 if that’s not reached already. When that’s the case, buying what you suggested wouldn’t be optimal.

In a straight new game file it is almost impossible to do, because you need 65,600 first to even reach the minimum 800 cost weapons amount. But theoretically, it would be when you reach that amount of renown, have access to the two merchants, AND unlock purchasing the 700 renown cost items (because you do not have access to anything above 600 renown at the Pagan Altar when starting from a fresh file). I wondered about that and tried it already...
Just done it in a new maddening save, it took me until chapter 17 to achieve this. i grinded every auxilliary battle possible, used around 400 baits during the two fistful of fish events (chapter 9 and 16 i believe) sold everything except what i needed for the last battles of crimson flower. Also a lot of my explorations in the late game were spent spamming tournaments to milk that extra cash. It's actually pretty easy to achieve since i was able to complete all 4 saint statues and buy everything in the abyss. Just the two fishing sessions are around 20000 renown so yeah...
I’m close. I did something in a similar manner to Shini Selune, except for one notable handicap; I hardly spent *any* Renown. The only things I purchased were the pagan statue upgrade for items, and upgraded Cethleann’s statue only up to Class Mastery gain +1. After that, whenever a Fishfuls of Fish day came, I went *only* for Gold/Silver/Platinum fish. Anytime I didn’t find one and lost my bait, I’d soft reset! Needless to say, it took *days* to finish fishing. I just finished Month 12 and I have the Renown necessary. The only problem is that purchasing the needed amount of items is not possible so early on. At certain points in the story, the shops improve their stock, including the pagan statue’s. Before the time skip, you can only purchase up to 3 of the items needed. It’s only *after* the stock increase that this exploit is possible in a New Game +. _When_ the upgrade comes, I don’t know. But, when it does, I’ll be able to stock up. My advice, just go for Red and Gold silhouette fish. It’ll save you time and won’t require as much patience.
Wonderful video! Quick question: I'm on my first NG+ playthrough, and I'd like to do this exploit. I'm on Crimson Flower ch. 15, and spending a lot of time savescumming for getting gold and platinum fish to sell, so before the end of the game I can spend all my money on seeds and turn it into renown. My question is: will the renown that I gain from doing this roll over into my 2nd NG+ playthrough?
renown always carries forward to your next NG+ as do saint statues and the Influencer in Abyss (though the stuff you can't buy until chapter 13 won't come into effect until chapter 13)
When you reach certain points in the story, the shops will update their stock. When the last update occurs, you will be able to purchase the items that previously stocked 3 certain weapons at a time, excluding the “Limited” items. The reason New Game + allows limitless access to these weapons is because it carries over the updated stock in shops. For a fresh file, you’ll have to wait, most likely after the time skip.

There’s also completing quests, and beating the Ashen Wolves side story gets you a ton as well. The best suggestion I have for helping a New Game + run is using your last exploration day to sell all the spare stuff in your convoy and make a few trips to Abyss to get Renown. Gold doesn’t transfer after a playthrough, but Renown does, so it doesn’t do you good to have extra stuff in the convoy gathering Dust or a full gold pocket if it’ll just be destroyed, but a whole stack of Renown early in a New Game+ Run can get you in a very good place, especially on Maddening where you can get high Skills and powerful equipment as soon as you can access Abyss (Chapter... 3 if I recall correctly, but you can only get the Seeds from the Southern Merchant to keep the cycle going after a Quest in Chapter... 5)

This is only doable with the Pagan Altar unfortunately. Finally, just before the final chapter of your route sell everything you don't equip on your characters. I've just done this on maddening on the shortest route in the game (crimson flower) and, before using the glitch, i had 71k renown left after buying everything in the abyss and all the statues level except the last one.
So it's very doable and i didn't even have to cut corners. I still got all the students, completed all paralogues etc...
@@shiniselune399 Thanks a lot for these pointers. I'm currently on ch 8 BL, non NG+, maddening. I'll definitely try this out! However, I've already spent my renown on statues. So I'm not if I can still be able to save up to 66k. If I had known it's doable, I would've waited before spending all those renown. 😅
@@bearic_o well as i said i spent the renown on them too so still doable :p
How did u glitch it to cost so low
The game just does that on its own
Does this still work now?
Yes, I do it all the time to keep my renown at max.
When do you get infinite items? I'm in Chapter 10 and it has a limit of 3.
After the time skip is when my Abyss started giving infinite items. I was able to do this before even completing the story once (No NG+). Mostly because I fought hundreds of the zero cost maps per month and I would go and buy all the seeds and sell everything. I had 600K to burn at some point and finally just now I hit the magic number to do this in 2022.
@@Wicksta473 Thanks for this, I am going to work toward this.
doesnt work now
Nice find
Still works?
Does this exploit still work to this day?
yes
@@shiniselune399 Well shit just noticed in endgame of cf can t get the minimum 65000 renown needed
@@rustydynamo1088 I did. Heck, I’m not even past Chapter 9 and I got it. Sure, it took me hardly spending *any* Renown, and lots of soft resets for fishing to *only* get Gold silhouette fish, but I got the 65600 required.
@@JJ_R Yes yes, I mean I had alrdy spent a lot and noticed this exploit too late that I all I say
Was this patched?
Nope
Nah
Lool busted
and and
ㅇㅅㅇb
It’s already patched. Do NOT patch your game if you want this to work

It’s not patched I just did it today
My game is updated and still works as of this date. But have fun trying to spoil every else’s!
