The wife installed a set of Vance and Hines slash-cut slip-on's on her 2019 Indian scout 60. All the work done by her, she's very proud. At the end of the video is a cold start, didn't last very long, it was getting a little late and didn't want to upset my neighbors.

Awesome job ! I’m thinking about adding some slip on’s next for sound. You guys have to upgrade the air intake , or were you able to leave the stock one installed ?
Mississippi Motoman intake is stock for now. You don’t need to flash if you’re just putting slip on’s on. We did flash the bikes anyway with the PV3 and a enhanced stock tune from Fuel Moto. Thanks for watching and compliments on the video.

Mississippi Motoman with the tune absolutely. It’s a much more responsive bike. The bike just goes bro. As for fuel economy, I really haven’t noticed a difference.
you should blue lock tight those bolts !
Macdaddy.Cycles agree. The directions tell ya to check the bolts after the first ride. Didn’t find any lose so I left them as is.

Do you prefer the slip ons instead of changing the whole system?
Slip on’s are beneficial if cost is a concern. I have two bikes and an entire system, for both would have been expensive. You also have to get a tune if you do the complete system, with slip on’s only you won’t need a tune. However, I believe if you’re looking to maximize performance then a complete system, an intake and a tune is the best way to go.
Did I hear you say 45 ft lbs on those screws that are located where they slips on to the stock headers? What about those clamps that hold the heat shield to the muffler ? Do they have any specs for tightening or just tighten TIL it’s tight? I got my exhaust with no instructions ima install soon.
FatStogie yes but DO NOT torque the barrel bad clamps to spec, the bolts will break. All the other bolts don’t have any spec. After the first ride you are supposed to re-tighten them all hardware if needed. You can download the instructions off the Vance and Hines website.
FatStogie oh use blue lock tight on all hardware except the band clamps if you have it. I didn’t at the time of installing and haven’t had any problems.
F.N.G MOTO Thanks, I downloaded the instructions but there’s no pictures with steps, glad there’s RUclips for that. Ok so for the barrel band clamp I will use the stock Indian band clamps. I saw more videos were all the Vance and Hines clamps break when torquing so people resort to reusing the stock ones. And luckily I do have blue locktite on hand ill make sure to put some on those heat shield screws. I was thinking of using blue locktite on the band clamp as well but if you haven’t had any issues I guess it’s not needed. Thank for the info, helped me out.
FatStogie I couldn’t get the stock ones to fit for some reason. I don’t know how others have. The OD of the Vance and Hines is bigger then the ID of the stock pipes.
F.N.G MOTO oh ok, I will try on the bobber stock clamps first and see how it goes. If they don’t fit il make sure to not over torque the V&H clamps. Thanks for the info.
Hi....! Can i ask if the bike running colder after pv3 install with stock flash? I have slip on didn’t flash yet ! I am planning get high flow intake from indian and then get pv3 ! Thanks
ARCZI .P I really don’t notice a difference. I didn’t have a big problem with the heat to begin with though. I live out in the country, so I’m not stuck in a lot of traffic. The bike definitely performs better, much more responsive than stock tune.
