- basically had to clean out and organise my closet!! gosh it took so long to film and edit this im so tired LOL, let me know what you thought!!

Me too 😂 I find at least a shirt or 2 when I declutter my closet every so often and I realized I need storage like Mikan’s to fit all my new stuff.
Edit: decided to restock my closet with new items and cycle some out to sell on Depop :)

The closet is so deep because it is designed to store futon bedding during the day. Love the deep drawers you found to fit so exactly. Also, if you and Yasu ever decide to switch top and bottom all you have to do is switch the drawers. You might decide to do that eventually because if he has few clothes (and he's a little taller) it will be easier for him to use the top and you can see into the bottom without pulling out the whole thing each time.

Now that I watched this I feel like I missed something when she did her little roomtour in the old apartment bc my closet is 1,50m x 0,50m x 2,00m big (and I think thats pretty big) and there will never ever fit this much clothes in there :'D Mikan are you a magician or where did you hide all of this clothes?

She had that storage that had several drawers, and the hanger that she used to hang a lot of clothes on, that hanger was poor she hanged a pile of clothes on it :'D♡

Try wearing clothes you like around the house, or our to the grocery store (if you can) trust me it makes a huge difference in feeling comfortable in the clothes you like

I think you should do another video of you tailoring all or some of the pieces that didn't fit you correctly! Another idea is to visit your wardrobe again come winter. You could decide then on all of the clothes you were unsure of!

I usually pack up my big winter jackets into vacuum bags in summer and keep them in the top bit of my closet! I live in a tiny apartment and it saves sooo much space!

Those drawers are so deep. Maybe a good idea to switch the ones you are using to the lower levels so you can see what’s behind. If you don’t see them you will quickly forget you have them.

For the denim dungarees you should make ruffley bright red straps! I love red and denim together and I feel like it’d go well with your wardrobe
If you take them to one of the chain second-hand stores (I've used Second Street and Off House in the past), you can make a little money! (Very little per item typically if it's not brand name). Whatever they chose not to buy, you can then take back or just donate the rest there. That way it's off your hands at least.

- I don't know if you know this, but KuroNeko has this service where they can ship you a box, you can fill it with whatever (clothes for winter etc.) and they will store the box for you until you call to get it back! Recently found this out, and it's taken a lot of stress off of my shoulders cause I'm moving to Tokyo next year, and the service isn't too expensive. I hope this is helpful!

You should get a double rack for the top part of the 押入れ because it's easier to access clothes, and the back rack(and the back of the drawers) can be for the off season clothes.

I wish I had Milan’s body shape 😭 I’m like three times her size and all her clothes are gorgeous but I’d look hideous in anything like it 😭 i’d look like a lamp or pillow. I feel like my life’s issues would be solved
you just need to find the stuff that works to your shape and comes in your size. You can 100% find stuff like Mikan's in more sizes, she's just quite petite and lives in Japan where these styles are more evident. If you live in a more western country you might have to shop online to find stuff like this but once you find a store you trust you'll be able to experiment more with so much! I personally recommend yesstyle if you've never used it, it caters to a lot of different sizes (depending on the items chosen) and features styles like what Mikan has. It's also a matter of experimenting, you might like some pieces in Mikan's closet but not everything works for you and that's okay, as long as you find stuff you love and you think works for you, you don't need to worry about other judgment. :)
