@glacius gaming Big Three" electrical upgrade. ... This upgrade replaces or augments three key cables in the electrical system with 1/0 or 4 gauge wires: the battery ground to chassis wire, the chassis to engine block wire, and the alternator plus to battery plus wire.
Got this combo and it seems the sub can't take the power. Regardless of my tuning it still cuts out at high volume. Pretty disappointed. Amp is great tho
Yes and no, it's better to have a sub lower than your amp because your amp doesn't always produce the 800 watts plus you can change how much is coming out on the settings of the amp. Also check out the new video!
The 600w rms rating is for continuous power. Meaning those subs should handle 600w continuously for a certain period of time. Playing music that sub will never see the full 800w. More than likely not even the rated 600w
Skar products are under rated, I’ve seen people throwing 1000 rms on SDR’s with no problem. I don’t recommend that but that’s up to u. Skar sends a 800watt amp with the bundle so that tell u right there.
So the amp kit was copper clad aluminum and not oxygen free copper? Did you use the amp kit at all? I might just buy the amp and sub separate and buy better wiring separately.
What are your settings at? Just bought the same amp and it replaced a RP350.1, and to be honest, it only sounds a little better. Very disappointed. I figured , doubling the power would make it sound a lot better, but it doesn’t. All wires are good, everything was tuned professionally , tested and everything runs smooth, amp doesn’t get hot or cut out, it just sounds weak compared to the RP350.1. Any help is appreciated Both amps wired at 1ohm
Well, the single sdr is good for daily drivers who just want real good bass. But personally I think if you're gonna get duals get the skar EVL series with the rp-2000.1d amp. Just depends whether if you want the bass loud, or if you want to shake your whole car up and hear it a mile away. That's my preference. Google skar evls 5000 watts 12inch d4s.
Forgot to mention, you can buy everything preloaded whether it's the single 12 or duals. Evls cost a lot more though. For the big 3, amp, 0 gauge ofc wires, and subs it was just over $1000. The single sdr with all that should be around $600. Definitly is cheaper, but like I said depends what you want in your car. The cool part is skar is all on Amazon sold directly from them. And of course dont forget about a professional install. For me to install the evls it cost $450. So totaling about $1530.
