  • I’ve had good results from Bushnell scopes in the past. I know they don’t get looked at with the same degree of respect as Leopold and some of the other brands, and there are good reasons for this in terms of manufacturing and so forth. However, the proof is in the pudding when it comes to a rifle scope and like I said I’ve had good luck with Bushnell.
    Today I evaluate the Banner II 4-12 X 40 mm using a CZ 457 .22LR at 50 yds. Please keep in mind when watching that this video was made during an ammunition shortage, and I did not have match grade ammo available for this test which would be ideal.

    Good video, David! While I have around 70 rifles of assorted calibers, I have only two scopes. Both are Bushnell, and both mounted on 22s. I find them to be totally adequate for my uses. Happy New Year!

    why are we talking about the CZ in a video titled "Bushnell banner II 4-12x40"???
    This seems more like a review of the accuracy of the CZ.

    I just ordered the 6-18 50 mm . Prob should have got the 4- 14 but maybe I will if I like this one 👍👍 coming in two days . Either going on a Marlin model 60 or Ruger 5.56 is prob where it should go or maybe in a 17 hmr .

    I was pretty bummed when a buddy bought a cheap Centerpoint scope that looked exactly like the Bushnell scope I paid double the price for.

    I have the banner 2 3 x 9 amd it’s clear amd staed so far on a .22 . For $ 89 @ Wally World I m impressed , seriously a good clear scope . I have Leopoldo and Nikons and vortex and they’re all pretty much the same except the Nikon turns differently to zoom in 🙄

    I look forward to seeing how this scope works on my M1A socom 16. Bought a CVLIFE scope for it. Junk! CVLIFE scopes can not handle the power of a 308

    as a comparison David, with a solid bench rest, 50 yds, all 15 shots inside a quarter, from a Glenfield Model 60, using a NC Star 3x9. Only accurate rifles are interesting. Not impressed with that rifle's accuracy or the scope. More practice maybe?

    • @drdrake63
      @drdrake63  3 года назад

      Maybe. Some proper target ammo would make a big difference as well. Shooting high velocity hollow points is not exactly target shooting

      @@drdrake63 I don't shoot anything but CCI Mini-Mags 22LR 40gr Copper Round Nose @ 1235/fps. Not sure if that's considered high velocity as I have a couple old bricks of Browning BPR 40gr hollow point at 1435/fps. It shoots really well also.

    How do you put this scope on an AR? Do you need to buy different scope mounts?

    • @eljos1
      @eljos1 2 года назад

      No it should work just fine on the ar rails

    • @Kross8761
      @Kross8761 Год назад

      A single piece cantilever mount would work best. You don't have to go super expensive, an AERO lightweight mount for about $60-$70 works great for all but the most extreme duty use.
      You don't want to mount a scope ring on the top rail of the handguard because the handguard can flex and throw off your zero, so on AR's specifically a single piece (often) cantilever mount is best.

      That's what I'm shopping for, 😂. Looking for a proper scope for my marlin 60. The 3x12 it came with has it's limit to only 20 yards. So I've narrowed what I want is this Banner 2. But should it be 3-9 x40mm or 4-12 x 40mm?
