Just got this and your video was the first I watched on it. Just wanna give a shout out to bushnell warranty dept. Couple months ago I sent in a 3x9x40 older scope for repair and on Monday I received a nib banner 2. Scope I had was acquired 4 years ago in a private party sale mounted on a 1022. Pretty cool that warranty stays with the optic and not just the buyer. Really excited to throw it on my 1022. Last thing you said was the warranty covers repair not replace....I guess milage varies. A+ to bushnell!
Grabbed one for $69.95 from the Bushnell Outlet last Xmas. Just recently have mounted on a Savage 30-06. Holding zero, no issues after 20 rounds. Really great glass in low light. I agree the eye relief seems short!
Glad you had that experience with BUSHNELL, I didn't. I returned my NIB 3-6 x 40 scope because the eye relief was too short. (around 2"). Received the box with a note that it was within specs. I mounted three other scopes on that rifle and they were all fine. Called them several times final reply was "sell it to someone else". Never again will I ever buy another BUSHNELL product.
Bushnell does replace it if the crosshair breaks. Because it happened to me. First, I put on my rifle I'm .350 Legend. I took it to the range and noticed the crosshair was broken. After I got in touch with Bushnell, they replaced it. Then I put on my Ruger American in 7.62x39. As l was walking to my target, it fell off the table. I almost had it zeroed. Now it doesn't sight in.
I gotta' be honest, this old ass Rem 770 is a tack driver out to 700 yds with hand loads. It's my oldest rifle still in use. I free floated the barrel by hand and shimmed the scope mount base in the rear with cut up soda can pieces to get it to a 20 MOA mount. Yea...i was that poor....
I have an issue with my new out of the box Banner 2 3-9x40. The top elevation turret cap seems to be too short. The elevation turret grabs the inside of the turret cap and I can feel and hear it clicking when tightening the cap down. I'm waiting for Bushnell's reply. Is anyone else seeing this problem?
Bushnell customer service has become almost nonexistent. I called in 3 times and requested a call back from their automated system and never received a call back. I called in a 4th time and stayed on hold for over 2 hours, called in at exactly 9am when the cue opens for customer service. The customer rep said they changed the process, and I would receive an email from their automated system, and I need to send them pictures of the defect and serial number, no need to return defective scope they would just mail a new one. I waited 2 days and no email was received. Call back this morning and I just passed the 4-hour mark on hold to speak to someone. They have horrible music that repeats over and over that I am sure is played so you get frustrated and hang up. This was not the case last year when I had the same scope warrantied for another manufacturer defect (scope blurred and would not focus). The new scope front optic came lose while I was sighting in my rifle a Savage 110 Tactical .308, scope model AR741840E14.5X18X40 made in Korea.
got a question and a comment. the comment is this was a great video and informational piece 👍👍 got one well yesterday now used then ran across a review saying not at all good for anything more than a 22 caliber stretching it to 223. then felt a bit better watching your video seeing as though you have it on a 30-06. my question is since it can handle recoil from a 30-06 horror losing zero, shouldn't it be capable of holding zero on a 450 bushmaster? sorry this got so long
It should. Especially since they have it listed in their ballistic app. I also do t shoot it a ton. I only use it for hunting a couple times a year so I’m not hammering it constantly.
Did you get one? & if you did is it holding zero for you? I got a 6.5 Creedmoor cva and thinking about getting this one. I got the regular one on my 3030 and it seems to be holding zero for the last 4 years with no problem still. Thank you in advance
Airsoft guns use the same rails as real firearms. And it definitely will work well, if this scope can handle a 30-06 it can definitely handle a 6mm bb.
I can’t say for certain. I only put it up against my 30.06 in this video. It should handle .308. It’s rated for it and there’s reviews on it saying it holds up so I’d say yea.
How is it working out for you? I just bought one the other day for my Ruger American Compact in 308. I’m planning on doing some shooting with it this weekend hopefully.
Just picked this up 10 minutes ago from WalMart. Ordered online, curbside pickup, so I didn’t even have to move my fat ass out of the car. It’s going on a Henry 22 wmr lever gun, and I see 22 wmr isn’t covered in the app. Don’t really care. I plan to use it mostly for Burmese Python hunting, 25 yards and less. Way less. So I want to zero it at 25 yards. So I should just forget about the app for now, right? Next… My Henry has a weaver rail pre-installed, and I saw another vlog which recommended getting Weaver Quad Lock grips to mount the scope, instead of what’s included. This supposedly lowers the profile, for rifles that can accommodate this. Any insights? I plan to go in my backyard later and try to zero it at 15 or 25 yards using a bore laser. Then off to the range this week for the real thing.
@@TacOut She’s all mounted and beautiful, but it was a learning experience: The Henry 22, and I assume most 22s with a pre-installed/integrated rail, have a narrow 3/8” rail…so the included rings don’t work. In addition, for lever guns and a hammer, standard height (medium) rings are too low. Even high isn’t great. The hammer is too close to the scope to fit your thumb in there to safely work the hammer. The solution for me were rings I got on Amazon which are considered see-through or peep rings. They’re 3/8” rail, ultra high, and have an open area where you can see through to your iron sights. (Kind of. Not that easy, but I guess you can get the hang of it eventually.) I don’t even think Weaver makes rings like this, but I may be wrong. Your optimum scope mounting locations are therefore pretty limited, but it’s something I can learn to live with. This is my first scope, and this taught me that not all gun/scope combinations leave you much flexibility on how and where to mount.
@@TacOut I also learned… WalMart doesn’t take returns on anything firearms related! So I guess I’m going to have to buy another rifle that these Weaver rings will fit!

Yup definitely buying one soon
Ordered one last week for my 270 Ruger American. Saw a bunch of good reviews for it

I got a Bushnell engage that's illuminated. I'm shocked at the quality on these Bushnell scopes
I can’t find the 30-06 cal on the app
You answered some questions. Thanks for sharing the info. I bought the same scope after watching this.
Awesome. Good luck with your setup!
@@TacOut Thanks, I can't wait to finish sighting it in

I have one of these scopes on a Savage MKll 22LR, a great scope for the money.
Best scope for the price no complaints
Thanks for the video, heading to buy one now.
Ordered 2 from Bass Pro on sale. They arrived this morning. The eye relief seems a little short. How's yours?
A little short as well. I felt the rear of the scope tap my eyebrow one or two times with the 30-06 without a break or comp. They list it as 3”-4.5”

How are you man is this scope good and Withstands vibration and gun reaction
I had no issues with it. That’s what the whole video is based around. احمد علي
Do you think this would be to much to put on a ar15 5.56
I would put it on a designated hunting rifle. I use LPVOs on my AR. A 1-6, 1-8 or 1-10 and something with a forgiving eye box and eye relief.
will it hold zero for 6.5 creedmor
I would recommend emailing their support team to ask. But I dont see why It wouldn’t.
6:30....Do NOT touch that load. That's as good as it gets unless you're a benchrest shooter. Good job!
Awesome,,review,,keep up the great vids
We got a same rifle and same scope, but mine is 243 Winchester

Just mounted this to my 17hmr. Should be. A good fit
I mounted this scope on my savage 220 and I wonder if they have 20 gauge slug ammo in app
Did it come with scope rings ?
Yes
Could I use this on a 450 bushmaster?
Not sure to be honest. I would check their website.
Would this work on my 300 win mag?
Yep

is this better than the utg bug buster 3x9x33
? thanks.
I have absolutely no idea. Maybe another viewer does.
Is this the dusk and dawn
Yes
@@TacOut does it really pick up light good??

Will this fit my .243 Winchester rifle? My rifle does not have picatiny rails.
You would need to get some kind of rail to mount it on.
@@TacOut you just use direct rings that fit your rifle

The Busnell Ballisstics APP doesn't have the 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge

The banner 2 is supposed to come with aluminum weaver style rings in the box. I would double check or call Bushnell
My buddy just bought a 30-06 and it came with a weaver scope and it keeps loosing zero every time he shoots
I've had the same issue.
I've been looking around and I cant find what the tube diameter of the scope is. Do you know what the diameter is?
