Hey! I’m 32. I watched RENT all through High School, and saw it on its final performance. Even my class ring from high school is engraved with “No Day But Today.” I listen to RENT and Wicked daily… to this day! I just wanted you to know that you helped me with the passing of my Dad in 2020. He had cancer at a young age, I was 29 at the time.. We had to do at home hospice during the pandemic, and it was rough. I had to take classes on how to be an at home hospice nurse at the age of 29 and it was cruel. I listened to RENT and Wicked every SINGLE night to get me through the fact I was going through that experience. Thank you ma’am. You’ll probably never see this, but wanted to put it out there. It took me years to say this. I hope I meet you one day, as you have touched my soul.. A soul you might never realize you touched, and that’s ok!. Thank you Idina Menzel. 🩵

I can picture Elsa or Maureen singing this song! I also noticed several costumes that reference the various roles that Idina has played: a dress that resembles Elsa’s in the “Let It Go” scene, a glittery green outfit reminiscent of Elphaba, and so on. The little head toss she does at the end reminds me of when she made the same gesture in the movie Rent as Maureen. And let us not forget how similar “Move for me” sounds to “Moo with me!”
