@@Brian-jv8iy exactly! Even today, you don't see a lot of black people on Norway. Scandinavian countries have very homogenous people - and immigrants, mainly from middle East. @CrystalCritter don't get me wrong testicles are pretty weak and fragile but with adrenaline running a shot to testicles may not do much at the moment ( after it wears off you'll feel it though). Just a thought, but would it be cool if Elsa represented an asexual character? Obviously the popular train of thought was to make her gay, but I liked the fact that Elsa could possibly relate in this aspect. Its always refreshing to see a main Disney princess or queen be happy with oneself, instead of seeing a relationship or love interest added into the story. Big reason why I liked the movie "Brave."
Precisely. This is especially doable because Disney will never make Elsa gay. They can't, because then they can't distribute the movie in China and will lose millions of dollars. Disney is a for-profit company so they have to pander to homophobes too. If Elsa is asexual, there is no risk because all they have to do is keep her single and leave it up for interpretation. I don't like the idea of Elsa's character in any form of relationship anyway.

We need to teach our kids that there are other important forms of love besides romantics. U don’t always need a girlfriend or boyfriend. Sometimes those who are there for u the most are family and friends
Yeah, and she's a princess, in Norway, heir to the throne. Guess she's pulling another Elizabeth. Actually no, she's being way worse, because she's neglecting her duty to the people of the realm by going to play with a snowman. Which would be perfectly acceptable if she was a commoner, is not acceptable when she's wearing the crown. Message of this shitty movie is to ignore your duties, ignore everything and go play in the snow. Don't be surprised if Else dies alone, in the dark, with nobody to love her, while her realm is wrecked by revolution or civil war.
Zamolxes77 It was specifically revealed that she and Anna are meant to be the ‘bridge’ between the magic and non-magic worlds, so while Anna keeps things stable in Arendelle (the ‘non-magic’ side), Elsa is keeping the peace on the ‘magic’ side of this ‘bridge’ by acting as the protector of the Enchanted Forest. if being diverse and open to all sexualities were to make more money than what they're doing now they'd switch in a second. Disney is a heartless corporation only out for money, they don't have any standards or the like.
@Kevin Sutton. Disney was one of very few corporations offering benefits for same sex couples back in the 80's when the president at the time Reagan was too afraid to mention the words Aids and gay in the same sentence. Not to mention their very well known gay pride days that they hold every year and have for decades, despite right wing nut jobs threats of boycotting their parks. So please get a clue, and maybe learn a little history before spouting off ignorant remarks.

I very much agree! there are so, so, SO many movies with a plot where a woman can only find _true_ happiness if she's in a relationship with a guy or even better married. where are all the movies where women focus on their passions, their careers or other projects and be perfectly happy with it? humans are a diverse species, not everyone needs a partner to be happy so please do show this in movies more.
Thank you for this post. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this!
You know I never really considered that she might be gay or even asexual ... only that she was more independent than her sister.
They would never make her gay bc in some regions they won't allow it to stream there.
I've heard some people think that she is an asexual homoromantic which basically means she doesn't experience sexual attraction (asexual) but only has romantic feelings for women. I like this idea a lot

Elsa doesn’t need a love interest. I feel like it was a relief having Elsa’s main love be sisterly love. We don’t need to always shove romantic love down everyone’s throats. Sometimes those who are there for u the most are family and friends

Well. Said.
@@Zamolxes77 hahaha okay buddy...
