  • If you're interested in buying tickets but are unsure of how much ticket prices will be, now you can learn all the tips and tricks on being able to confirm face values BEFORE they even go on sale!
    Ticketmaster's new format doesn't show face value pricing ranges anymore as they used to in the past, so now it's up to us to find a new way of completing this research! Luckily, you can still find face value ticket pricing by accessing the old Ticketmaster view to pull this data. You can see what face values are before an event goes on sale, or even afterwards to see the pricing across multiple levels and sections of the venue.

    Just tried this today (October 2023) fr the Eagles concert next March in Chicago. Unfortunately it's not working. If I change the "event" to "exchange" the site just automatically changes it back to "event". Oh well. I don't understand why they make it so hard to find out face value ahead of time.

  • @Asinine111
    @Asinine111 2 года назад +12

    seems like the "exchange" trick no longer works. Would you know another way to see the face value? I like this to to help figure out how much I will have to spend. Thank you Thumbsup!

      😭😭 was a sad day when they shut this down. There are workarounds if you have some coding experience and can gain access to the Ticketmaster API, but I currently don’t have the skillset to code it out. If you/know anyone with a coding background, have them dm me on IG or Twitter @thumbsuprun and I’m sure we can compensate them for their efforts!

    Also last question, I have noticed ticket prices going down for the event I want to go to but the prices are not back to their original face value of $60-$1,000. (Now the range is roughly $1,000 to $5,000). Do the prices ever go back to original face value or atleast close to it?

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 года назад +1

      It really depends on the event, there’s no guarantees prices will ever come back down to face value of lower. Depends on the artist, demand for the event, if any additional tickets are released, weather, can change on anything. Sometimes ticket prices slowly come down and then shoot back up too, I’ve seen it all. Waiting is generally the correct option for prices to come down, but it isn’t always a guarantee

    Are tickets delivered instantly on the day if I purchase on the day of the game

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 года назад

      Usually yes, though it depends on the delivery method. If you purchase tickets that are labeled as instant delivery, you’ll get them within a couple of minutes. If they are labeled as ‘special delivery’ or ‘mobile transfer’ however, then it may take some time for the tickets to be transferred to you/you may need to pick up your tickets at a specific location near the venue. You can generally sort by instant delivery for most events which helps. Mobile transfer tickets purchased on the day of the event are normally fine, though try not to wait until a few minutes before the event starts as a seller could take up to 30 minutes to transfer the tickets

    So, how much is taxes/service fee for Ticketmaster usually? Tickets I wanted to buy are crazy expensive with the tax. Is Ticketmaster always like this? Like $1,000 ticket became $4,000 after the service fee, like WHAT? 😳 Should I wait a few days for prices to drop or is there a way around this? Just curious!

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 года назад

      Ticket fees are normally in the 25-50% fee range, I wouldn’t expect something to go from 1k to turn into 4K though 😬 what was the event?

    • @damaliasase1073
      @damaliasase1073 2 года назад +1

      @@thumbsuprun My mistake..I miscalculated..the x2 at checkout is actual ticket price....so it is actually 1,000 each (as opposed to the $500 each I thought it was). So the service fee is $2,000 + $2,000 basically. Still kind of steep though. 😭 I guess I'll wait another week for price drop...

    Out of curiosity...is there anyway to beat the scalpers at their own game? How do we get tickets before season holders, for example? And how do the season holders or scalpers get the tickets so fast? Is there some secret club they are in where they find out tickets are available for a concert months or years in advance? What club is this and can I join? 😂
    Why doesn't Ticketmaster let real fans and season holders and scalpers go in the "proverbial" rink to buy tickets at the same time? Fight it out?? 🤣 Why do they only get a leg up but real fans have the bottom of the barrel seemingly? 🙈

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 года назад +1

      Hahaha the first rule about fight club…is to never speak about fight club 🤐
      Technically everyone is in the same boat, but it’s scalpers who treat it as a business while fans treat buying tickets as an means to an experience. A fan doesn’t spend hours a day researching all about presales and ticket tips, knowing the best prices and methods for getting tickets. That’s a big part of my channel though, education. Learn everything a broker knows from a broker, and then use it against the others for your own benefit! 😁
