Headlight switch just pulls forward with a screwdriver....easy to pull out...if your first 2 digits of your odometer are out...taking the dash out is the same procedure...then 4 bolts for the gauge panel....could have gotten a control box that mounts to the dash...instead of drilling the dash...

Does your dash panel have trouble going back into place? I've got an 01 and it's almost like it's too small to go back on correctly. Just subscribed to the channel and looking forward to some great powerstroke content!
I have never had any real issue with it going back. Only problems I’ve had is when I don’t get the vents aligned properly. They’re usually too low if that’s the case.
Radio removal tool... old clothes hanger... stronger type. I just pulled my 2000 for the first time. needed two screw drivers to assist removal... struggled on the StruggleBus
They can definitely be really stuck in there if they’ve never been out.
I’d wait to change the vents until you decide if your going painted or not
FYI those vents pop right out…take a flat head to the short end opposite the flow control and pry…no need to remove dash

There a dual USB fast charge outlet that fits the stock 12v outlet plug behind the slide up door perfect. Don't have to do any mods beside put some spare terminal on the 2 wires. Looks factory and can still cover it with the little slide door if you want to. Also has a volt meter built into it.
I've seen those. Mine is actually hooked up to my radio for apple car play.

Thank for the video. Do you possibly have a wiring diagram for the Ford harness? I have the same make, model, and year as well as the same upgraded stereo head unit though having a hard time figuring out which wires to connect to the head unit
I would highly recommend getting the adapter plug instead of hardwiring it into the factory harness. I should have the pigtail you need linked in the description. With that it’s almost always just simple color matching. Both the head unit and the adapter should come with wiring diagrams though.

Hey bud just saying you can run your tuner screen on your radio now! I have one to my backup cam and plan to use the second input for the tuner in split screen of full in reverse.
I know but I already have the money invested in the edge cts so I’ll be staying with that.
@@LivingOnWheels I think the edge can display on the screen also the radio one. Im looking into the edge for my late 99 7.3 150k banks exhaust and ARE Intake that's about it but none of my code readers work with this truck and I've had it since it was new. What do you think?
actually the same truck as yours color and all but I had to special order the 6 foot bed and wait 6 months. Worth if fits in my garage by 3/4 inch and i keep in in there when not driving.
As far as I am aware the edge cts isn’t capable of that. The cts doesn’t have a output port. Just inputs.
I’m not sure why your code readers wouldn’t work. That is strange.
@@LivingOnWheels IDK they all say not compatible and to unplug when I try to plug in. I think the newer Edge has HDMI out I was reading about it on diesel site I think it was. Let ya know I am gonna buy the newer CTS when i get some extra cash! Does yours come with the tuner built in?

So i fucked up and cut down the left lip as well what would i do to remedy that? I presume the clips on the deck kit wont have any thing to grab too?
Yeah, probably going to run into figment issues honestly these dash pieces are pretty cheap and easy to find. Might be easiest to just replace it.

@@mikehunt8247 yeah the bezel piece that goes around the cluster and radio. Otherwise you’re probably just going to have to find a way to jerryrig it.
Okay dumb question here…how do you remove the double din radio? I installed one on my 01 f350 and I’m trying to figure out how to get it because the unit I got is crap and want a different 7” touch screen to put in.
Depends on what kit was used or how it was installed. For example this kit has the two black trim pieces on the sides that clip into place so you have to squeeze them in to release it. I know I made mine a very tight fit.

Both are through soundstripe which allows me to use this music for my purposes. Not sure if you'll be able to find them outside of this but here they are.

Just that center section I don’t think so unless you have the 4x4 switch. Then you can get that piece. Otherwise is the whole dash piece which I bought on eBay.
