UPDATE: I review this video every 12 months or so to make sure it’s still accurate and relevant and for the most part it’s still spot on. The funds from this are typically used toward other projects, studio equipment, or donations to other content creators or organisations.
That Track IR sensor setup is brilliant! I've never thought about the perspective issues when using a motion rig in tandem with fixed monitors, and that seems to handle it perfectly. Super interesting!
Your recent new fanatec csl series videos have better product shots than fanatec does, I think you will soon start getting emails from companys wanting some work done if you haven't already. Amazing quality of work guys!!
Damn Will I remember when you were changing over from the NLR F1/GT to the GT-TRACK with your 65 inch tv. You've come a long way brother 👍. Glad to see your channel is flourishing 😁. Your a huge impact on this community and I think I can speak for everyone when I say, you've taught us so much and have given us great insight on the whole aspect of Sim Racing. And with Tom in the picture, it just makes it that much better. Kudos on all your success. Thanks for everything guys🤘. Forever Racing 🏁
Will im so glad i found your channel, (actually i think you introduced me to it when we were talking) But the content is amazing and totally unbiased. I have learned so much from you and really appreciate you going to all the effort making these vids, Now Tom is on board to adds even more. Great insight to the way you get things done mate. Keep up the awesome work :)
I use a very cheap tecknet webcam, 1080p with a ring light, for my 3d printer timelapses and monitoring. It's very cheap, but I would guess it's good enough for a pedal cam. Also the light is just setup via a button on the cam, with three levels of brightness. Sometimes cheaper and more basic is better. Although the light not being controlled remotely might be annoying if the cam is not easily reachable. I can't seem to find it on amazon australia though.
Excellent video, thanks for uploading. It's great now the camera's are that much better now, and can capture great content without even capturing in-game footage! Your video's have help me some, and really looking forward to upgrade my wheel and pedals first!👍 Also, would great if you can use a really good ultrawide gopro, if they ever make one.
Hi guys. Thank you for the very interesting tour/info video. I am now wondering what you do if something (important) fails. Fe. an aduio device (goXlr or the analog-digtal converter). Do you have 'older' equipment lying around or do you have to main equipment in dual devices (a spare in storage)? For a channel that is relying (sometimes) on livestreams, this must be important for you guys. Please let me know. Keep up the good work and amazing content!
Hey mate, Love your work as allways.. just wondering if you would share some good settings for the go pro 9 as sometimes when I have mine set at higher fps the screen is sometimes blurred or even very dark.. cheers mate
Fascinating inside to a superb setup and studio. Q when your just driving for your own pleasure do you use a surround sound setup rather than phones? I run 7.1 through home theatre and the surround immersion is fantastic, . With rear engines cars and for pickup of debris on track you can see stuff come towards you then hit the car and here the sounds from l/r sides, rear and roof esp at Brands Hatch for some reason for debris .Sat in car in rain on grid is so realistic, quite mental really. (Its the only time Ive heard thunder) Great vid look forward to next 1. have fun
Too bad the cameras are so expensive, I don’t have the budget to upgrade to those cameras. Do you have a recommendation on a more budget friendly camera?
Hello i'm new here but really enjoying your content and looking into getting my own sim cockpit. I'm not sure if you showed it in another video but could you show us what it takes to set-up for a race if you need to just any software or how long it takes to for you to turn on everything and go racing
Edelkrone nice I have a few of their products. On another video I noticed you had some arm contraption mounted on a table for top view, what is it called or was it DIY.
Sorry I just watched the video again but seem to be missing it. To be more specific, the part I’m uncertain on is the camera to helmet mount with the long rod. I’ve also checked the description for an affiliate link but didn’t find one. Was the mount homemade perhaps ?
Hey mate, would your rig be setup differently if you were not doing content creation and was purely for your own personal experience? I understand content creation has afforded you the opportunity to have such a kick arse setup.
I have been looking at RUclips videos of the Insta360 and comparisons with the Hero9. One thing I noticed was the Hero9 audio was a lot better, have you found the same
Depends on the video and what it consists of. The most time consuming task is syncing up multiple camera angles with game audio, etc. The CSL Pedal video for example took about half a day. CSL DD video was 2 days of editing.
Nice setup F4 lense would be perfect anyway don't need 2.8...pretty surprised the insta360 does a better job than the go pro, they have done some big updates on the hero9

Maybe new video with updated new gears?
Really appreciate you taking the time to showcase your set-up and the gear you have invested in to make your excellent content, thank you. 👍😊👍
I love how enthusiastic this dude is about everything.🙂

Been following the channel since the beginning, I am so impressed how far the studio has come!
the amount of technology and thought behind that is incredible.. Your driving videos look insanely good.

Really nice to see how you get such incredible footage to share the experience with us, I don't even make videos and you've got me wanting a ZV1!

Love your first person view videos. They're just amazing 😍👌🔥
Love your work. Blown away by the lengths that you have gone to to make it a fantastic, professional product
Thank you Will. I was waiting for a video like this. Really appreciated!

Amazing stuff mate. Really enjoyed the video 📹 mate.
Love a good look at all the gear that goes into the channel!

It would be nice, if you would make a video explaining, how to build that helmet camera mount. I would like to build a similar mount for my videos.
Enjoyed the video it's great to see behind the scenes to see how the magic happens
Very professional setup Will/Tom. 👍
Wow. Professions also studio! Always enjoy your videos!
I had been wondering how you were getting such interesting B-roll, great little device.
Nice tour of the gear. Thanks man 👍
A very useful insight and has given me some ideas on how to improve my own setup.
Love watching your videos on an OLED TV. Keep the videos coming!... Where are your Fanatec affiliate links?
Thanks. All the affiliate links can be found here: boostedmedia.net/support-boosted-media/
I’ve been contemplating a ZV1 to complement the other cameras for more run and gun stuff. I probably shouldn’t have watched this 😂
It’s an absolutely brilliant all rounder mate.
ZV1 is terrific, I have 2 and they are my favorite cameras for video (above my a6500, and a7s). They are so versatile it crazy
Get some custom molded iems! Game-changing comfort, can wear them all day and completely blocks off any noise from the outside.
Yeah looking into them. Tom has some from his old work as a sound engineer. Expensive though.
This is awesome. Thank you so much.

Nup. I don’t even have speakers on the system. Only ever headphones. Any time I’m driving for fun the kids and wife are asleep so can’t make noise.
Wow, shows how much tech you have to use for your vids. Nice.
Too bad the cameras are so expensive, I don’t have the budget to upgrade to those cameras. Do you have a recommendation on a more budget friendly camera?
For which purpose?
@@boostedmedia For general video recording
Honestly I’d you’re on a tight budget just use your phone. It’s likely better than 90% of more entry level cameras.
Thanks

That was a mic boom I mounted the camera on
Can you please give a guide on how to replicate the helmet. Where did you buy that mount with the medal bar. Very well built and best POV footage
It’s covered in the video you’re commenting on.
Sorry I just watched the video again but seem to be missing it. To be more specific, the part I’m uncertain on is the camera to helmet mount with the long rod. I’ve also checked the description for an affiliate link but didn’t find one. Was the mount homemade perhaps ?
It’s discussed in detail in the video. It’s a GoPro helmet mount with a longer rod we bought from a hardware shop and cut to length
Hey mate, would your rig be setup differently if you were not doing content creation and was purely for your own personal experience? I understand content creation has afforded you the opportunity to have such a kick arse setup.
If it wasn’t for boosted media I’d still be using the CSW2.5 and triple 32s most likely.
@@boostedmedia We all benefit from Boosted Media.
May i ask what helmet mount that is for the GOPro? I can't find any mount that has that metal halo bar
What the dickens. How has this guy only got 116k subscribers, surprised he’s not in the +1 million!!!!
Takes time :)
man it must be nice to afford all that nice sim gear, im extremely jealous
This is GoDMoDe!
Go BoostedMedia!!
Amazing vid 👏
What parts do you use to get the camera so low on your face like that? Thanks!
Hi, can you replace the components of the camera mount on the helmet?
Such awesome gear! 😁
this setup is crazy, I will only dream to even get cloase to it
I have been looking at RUclips videos of the Insta360 and comparisons with the Hero9. One thing I noticed was the Hero9 audio was a lot better, have you found the same
We don’t really use camera audio in our usage case so it’s not something we’ve noticed. But we will do some testing
I bet that room gets hot. I know my 3090 rig and triple screens with motion is baking hot. I love my wind simulator because I need the fan lol
Yep. Air con has to be running or it hits 35-40c in less than 30 mins.
@@boostedmedia I have no doubt lol.
Awesome content! Interesting to know how long it takes for you and Tom to edit and publish a 25 minute video?
Depends on the video and what it consists of. The most time consuming task is syncing up multiple camera angles with game audio, etc.
The CSL Pedal video for example took about half a day. CSL DD video was 2 days of editing.
Hi, great content! After 2 years, do you have any new recommendations for recording better than the Insta360 ONE R 1-Inch Edition?
I’m using a GoPro Hero 12 now but it’s not really an improvement over the 11.
@@boostedmedia Thanks for the response, and how long can the v12 record before it overheats? 30-40 minutes?
Would really like your opinion is this bundle worth it.Formula Pro + SC2 Pro + HE Sprint for 2560 euro
Nice setup F4 lense would be perfect anyway don't need 2.8...pretty surprised the insta360 does a better job than the go pro, they have done some big updates on the hero9
Can’t beat physics. Smaller sensors will always struggle in low light.
@@boostedmedia 100%, I would have never thought I'd go mirrorless dslr but full frame Z6 Nikon is a gun camera...sensor size is always king 💪
I’ve been using mirrorless for 10 years now. (Early adopter because I worked at Sony). Wouldn’t go back. Have you tried a Full Frame 35mm Mirrorless?
@@boostedmedia yeh my Nikon Z6 is 35mm, only bad thing is battery life because of the digital view finder
Yeah battery life on the Sony A7s is terrible too, and they’ve blocked dummy batteries with the latest firmware too. 🤦♂️
AAAmazing!!
this is mint! i love it
Yep...
Still gonna roll with envy...!!
wow you've grown 16k followers since your last video that's really cool
Haha not quite. About 200-400 new subs a day recently.
@@boostedmedia o I skipped a few videos. but it's still many new followers. you responded quickly you really care about your viewers
Try to use amfootball kickers helmet & mount your cam to the facemask 😁
Need to replace the stack hat with a proper race helmet.
That makes audio more difficult
@@boostedmedia open face of course
Still covers ears.
@@boostedmedia can you not use headphones helmets? Just asking
Just limits options a lot more. Need something purpose made.
Give yourself a bicycle or even a motorcycle and you can start making ride videos of either of those
Hi, it's so much easier with money
