Did this same winch set up today, for the $ can’t be beat, my rancher wiring was on the left side of the bike however so I followed it. Going to secure my solenoid like yours. I did buy the Honda pigtail ($16) for the “hot wire” plugs right in and I can add a 12v or heated grips now if I want.

The hole that is in the left side under cover is an accessible hole for the shifting mechanism if it ever decides to not wanna go into gear the wrench honda provides you with is used to get it back into gear

In reference Bad Lands winch 3500,
did you use different hardware to mount the winch to the bracket? I’m using the bolts that came with it and they seem to be too long.
There was more than one set of bolts ? Maybe they didn’t give you right hardware ?
Love all the foreman videos, definitely sold me on the 2021 I bought back in April! Have watched almost all ur vids ! Just picked up the badland winch, did you end up needing the mounting plate that came with it, or is that KFI mount all you need for the install. Thanks !
Just the KFI mount was needed , the mount plate with winch was just left over metal lol 😂
How do I figure out which KFI winch mounting plate to get if the KFI site does not list badlands winches? I have a 2012 Rancher TRX420FM. I'm trying to install a Badlands 2500 winch. I purchased the ATV mounting plate from Harbor Freight, will that work?
Two part numbers I see on that model , my guess would be the 100880 but could also be 100705 . As for having to say the winch name , mine didn’t say that. . Most winches will work on any plate. . The issue is if plate will work on the ATV .
installed a 3500lb on a 2022 520 and it kicked my ass.. finally got it and its great but i have one issue that bothers me.. maybe someone had this issue.. well when bolting back the 4 main frame bolts near the radiator it seem to not want to thread in smoothly i even tried turning it counterclockwise and waiting for it to seat properly before I begin to thread in.. using a ratchet it just seems not right so I backed it out inspected the threads and they seem to be misshaped not cross threaded just flattened almost. i this just a common issue? and where can I get some factory replacement bolts.. everything is bolted back together and it is holding tight it's just me knowing it is not right that's bothering me.
Go to dealer for bolts or a Ace hardware or any hardware store and see if can find bolts to replace . Any bolt will work just matters how picky you are . Good luck and thanks for watching, oh and no I did not have that issue

I’m going to give this a shot on my ‘21 Rancher, but I’m still confused about how to use the pigtail. I’m really new at this and it’s probably going right over my head. On the diagram provided in the winch owner’s manual, where would the pigtail and accessory sub harness fit into the picture?

Would that work on a 4x2 rancher? It's a 2013 with the 420.
Not 100 percent sure but go to web sight and will say year for mount
How do you pull apart the ignition plug thing, That red cube of electrical wires. I cant seem to open it up? can you explain how to tie it into the ignition relay thing.

@@ArizonaKid I watched part two a few times, It looks like there is 2 push in clips but it still wont pull apart, I cant find out exactly how it opens so im not sure if im pushing the right part? On the back end of the relay thing there looks to be circle rubber stoppers for dust and debri, should I just remove that and push the wire in?

How to install a wench on a 2015 Honda rancher
Man I'm trying to do this. Got the winch installed doing electrical now. And I cant figure out how to remove the plastic on the right side to run my wires. I got seat and battery cover off and the obvious plastic tabs. But the black cover middle top above the letter n in rubicon. How do I remove the top black plastic and the rest of the side

I agree with you, who the hell wants to submerge their $10,000 ATV in muddy water. Not my idea of fun. That’s why I would never buy a used one.
