I have 5 guinea pigs. 3 females in one cage and 2 males in the other cage. I do have plan to add at least one or 2 more. Guinea pigs need ton of care and they are expensive.

They look so sweet! Great setup! I love crested piggies, I have a beautiful black crested piggy, her name is Velvet! She lives with another girl, a teddy guinea pig, and a neutered male named Patches! I love guinea pigs, to me they're the perfect pet.
I have two, and whoo! They are a HANDFUL! Anyway, they are both the same age, and female. I don’t have two feeding bowls, or water bottles, but I do have two beds, and a hideout!
That was very informative. I suppose you have to make sure you get two of the same gender or you could end up with a great many baby guinea pigs? Chloe and Zoe are adorable! 💖
At least 8 square feet or more. I put 2 of the midwest habitats together for mine so they could run around more. One midwest habitat is 8 square inches. I also give them out of cage time and often let them eat grass outside.
I’m thinking about getting a 3rd piggie, because one of my pigs loves the other, while the other piggie doesn’t really like the other pig 😅😅 Do you think this would be a good idea?
Hopefully there is a rescue in your area that you can support. Shame on the pet store for not telling you the truth. But the reality is they simply don't know how to care for the animals they sell, thankfully there is RUclips and all the information on the Internet.
