You must work for pretty litter because you lie just like they do about it being dust free. Ive been using pretty litter for a few years and i can promise you it is some dusty litter. It's still great litter so there really isn't any reason to lie about it.

I have had pretty litter for about 2 days. I wanted something that wouldn’t be as dusty and something my cat wouldn’t track all over the place. So far, it’s really good. I’m not sure how I feel about the stirring the urine. I’d rather try to scoop it out. Not sure if that’s possible. If it gets rid of the dust, minimizes the trail coming from the bathroom, and it really does help the odor, then it’s worth every penny.

How long did you treat him before moving him back into the big tank? And did you use both products at the same time?

I’m convinced you’re lying. I tried it. It was SO BAD! forget a layer of dust, how about pretty litter crystals showing up everywhere!

I made the switch a year or so ago cause I was so sick of the clumping kind that totally stuck to the litterbox. However, I'm not happy with Pretty Litter because my cat carries it in his paws and I'm finding deposits of it all over my house. 😞

Although I love all animals I actually don't consider having any other pets except cats. Their vibe is just so me, I adore them the most. This year I finally adopted a cat and I want to adopt another one. The problem is I don't know how to talk my partner into that... 😢

Many vet practices have a membership plan. This works out well if you feel comfortable with the vet and the practice. I have both a membership and pet insurance, which work well together. The membership plan pays for the routine care my elderly cat needs; the pet insurance is for when things go south. Last year, my cat needed surgery--and it was a big procedure. I'm so glad that I had this in place, because that bill was scary and was at the high end of the vet's estimate. (This is rare; she usually estimates high.) My nearly 17 year old Siamese girl is doing very well, thank you. She dispatched the mice that found their way into our living quarters... new cat toy! My cat is expensive because she has food allergies and is a fussy eater--a real gourmand. I've accidentally eaten a bit of my cat's food and yes, it was really good. My vet says that the fact I feed my cat high quality, species appropriate food does make a big difference. There's really good cat food at all price points... my vet likes Fancy Feast chicken and 9 Lives Special Request Chicken for supermarket cat food, Wellness Chicken for multi-cat households. I traditionally make my own cat food, using a vet approved recipe... and my girl really likes that. I've had 3 cats that have made it past 20. I hope my current kitty joins that club.

Bags, boxes, and string is more than enough

I got new thick cardbox box, tape it together and make a door for cat, then I put a pingpong ball inside crinkly plastic bag (must make crinkly sound). Roll the plastic bag and put it inside cardbox box. Our cat would go crazy trying to get the pingpong ball out. He would then kick the ball around our house when he finally managed to get it out. Sometime I would put rubber pingpong ball that makes birds chirping sound, has battery inside. Ball makes chirping sound when moved. This is inexpensive toys, I think like $5. The whole point is to create a situation to rouse cat's curiousity to explore, doesn't necessarily require expensive store bought toys.

Rolled up paper balls are also free and fun toys. So are plastic bottle caps. My cats like their free toys as much as the store bought ones.

Empty shipping boxes make great (free) hiding places. You can leave some of the brown paper in the bottom if they like crinkly sounds.

With two adult cats, switching from clay litter to Equine Bedding Kiln-Dried Wood Pellets (40 lb bag for under $8.00 at Tractor Supply) was a win. I recommend watching some how-to vids on RUclips to make sure it's for you first.

Consider a small bird, such as a parakeet or cockatiel.

Crack a raw egg once a week for your cat/dog for a shiny, healthy coat.

My Chinese Striped Hamster (Cricetulus barabensis) is called 仓鼠 Tsang Shu, which is "hamster" in Chinese. She starts running in her wheel at 7:30pm and she heads to bed about 6:30am. She loves sunflower seeds.
