    Hi,
I can clearly understand what a dramatic change it caused and you had to walk that path. But tbh, I only see the problem either on you(weakly) or on your practitioner(strongly) with due all my respect.
    TL;DR; Especially for ADHDers :)
    1. Choose a practitioner that monitors you. (go to a practitioner one that already suggested from an ADHDer etc.)
    2. Fix your sleep, nutrition, exercise hygiene.
    3. Do not forget you are under the medication influence that manipulates your perception. Note down everything. Monitor yourself. If you are living closely with family members and/or friends, GF/BF. Make them understand the importance of the situation and let them monitor you. Since you are in the box.
I use Strattera for 9 months, actually a comorbid medication on top of that I also use a low dose stimulant when I need motivation drive and focus.
Basically, Strattera solved all the chaos in my life and it lay down in good order except one thing. I was very motivated in life and never able to consistently do things. But I realized Strattera just killed all that appetizing. So my life turned into a sort of bare minimum living state. Performing well at work, a clean house, schedules just smooth. But I wasn't even enjoying watching TV. so it clearly turned me into a robot. Sometimes some foggy thoughts as well.
But I had one idea aside all the time. I'm on a serious medication "a psychiatric medication" that manipulates my perception that my only tool in life to perceive things. So this explains the seriousness of psychiatric medication right? So I have to monitor myself. They gave me a mood diary for 15 days in the beginning and by far 30 min appointment every month to explain my mood during the month and any cardiovascular change etc. along with HR and blood pressure control.
So if you get into these type of super dangerous spiral down. Even you had your boyfriend aside you.
This only tells me that there is a great lack of care in that practice. (I don't sue you because you are the patient, but your care practitioner just gave you the medication and send you away. This is not understandable )
Sorry for long text, but besides that, there are people when they start medication they paranoidly search everything and every negative experience for them is just scaring them especially the experience you share.
What I realize along the way, medication can give you a silent mind. which an ADHDer is not really used to... and doesn't even know what to suppose to do with since it's not native feelings. It takes time to adjust. For me, I cannot still say I'm 100% used to the feelings medication is giving.
I also recognize having exercise dramatically changes Strattera's effect on me.
    and I have to sleep 8 ~ 9 hours, before medication I was barely sleeping 6 ~ 7 hours.
I eat super clean. I find time to study my interests in-depth for the first time that consistently at the age of 32.
I'm not happy with its cardiovascular properties and I'm trying to neutralize with some supplements and if I cannot fix it. I may stop it.
But everybody should search for a trustable practitioner and go for a trial for themselves. Everybody is unique in the end.

I gained over 20lbs in 2 weeks and am still gaining. Here I thought strattera was supposed to suppress appetite, not make my stomach feel bottomless.

Try not to focus on tour fear that they're still there because that might be the cause that they don't seem to go away. 😘

Hey, I'm a guy that recently got diagnosed with ADHD and told that I don't think strattera would be anything for me, but low and behold I am now prescribed it. Today is gonna be my first day taking it and I'm scared it's not gonna motivate me in anyway and that it isn't gonna give a instant result. I just can't wait any longer and I don't wanna take this shit for another 4 weeks to change again. Do you have any comment on this?

@@GotFaculty like shit, I was a zombie for nearly 2 months and didn't wanna leave my bed. I am now prescribed concerta wich has also been shit for me, so I needed to stop today. Next week I am probably getting prescribed Vyvanse Wich is the med I've always thought would work with my type of ADHD (inactive physically and hyperactive racerbrain). So I just hope that Vyvanse is the actual solution for me.

It started working for me right away I felt it and what happened was the stratara 40mg, pushed all my other medication like away it's like a way like I was completely sober cause I was on methadone and lorazapam for anxiety and then I was just bugging out you know like I had just sniffed A-line of coke ,but it was too much ; So I'm gonna go back on the is the salt's adderall XR 10 milligrams is enough for me.

Day three for me on 18mg and I feel like crap. I can't move properly, my whole body hurts, I feel very weak and like I'm walking through treacle, I feel angry and irritable. I think I'm becoming zombiefied on this drug. I definitely don't want to become depressed.

    Well, what an impressionist opinion.
These are one of the clearly SIDE EFFECTS that you must communicate to your specialists so they can adjust your treatment or change medication
Always make sure you read the information of the side effects so you can know when any medication is affecting you
Strattera has been very beneficial to other patients, we all are different
